Hi - This is the first year we've had annual passes. They are coming up for renewal in August. It doesn't look like there is a price break for renewing. So I'm wondering if there is any reason to renew right away. Or, wait until our next trip and buy a new AP at that time.
Is there anything I'm missing?

Usually you'll get a notice a month before expiry date- and if you hold a deluxe or premium AP usually there's a %20 discount per pass for renewing. HTH

That should read $20 not 20%

I would say it depends on when you are going again on whether or not the $20 off would be the better deal. If you are not going soon after your renewel, then I would wait until you are going again to renew. For example, if you are not going until Dec, I would wait until then and get a new AP, that way you would have until Dec 08 instead of Aug 08, to go again. Although if you live close and go more often, that is probably a moot point. HTH :)

Thanks everyone! I just received the email from Disney for renewal and it included the $20 discount. Plus, it says you get a 20% merchandise coupon and a special card design if you renew online.
I"m really undecided over what to do!
We were thinking of trying to sneak down for a quick trip before the passes expire but I think I waited too long to get a good rate at one of the close off site hotels.
I've made a resi using the AP discount for the end of August right before school starts and got PP for $149 so I was thinking that would be worth renewing. I'm trying to justify renewing because we'd "save" so much on the hotel room compared to the normal rates for staying on site. Ha!! But, we really don't have any other trips planned. My son's school calendar's don't match up very well this year so it would be hard to get down again until perhaps spring break.
What to do...
