I've been lurking for a while. It's nice to meet others that share the love of the parks and the happiness that Disney brings. My family and I live 47 miles from Disney and have had annual passes for 10 years. I think our latest count for visits is 430, so you see...we have some issues(as our friends put it). I'm so glad I found this board!

Hello and Welcome! You will be able to help a lot of people on here having gone that many times. That would be wonderful to live so close and go all the time. Does it ever get boring?

No, not bored yet. We don't go all day though. We'll go in the evening, ride a few rides, see a show, eat dinner and sometimes fireworks. If it is too crowded, we don't stay. Since we live so close it isn't a big deal. There is no pressure to get things done.
Four to five times a year we'll go ahead and stay on property for a long weekend. The passholder discounts are sometimes too good to pass up! DH and I are also teachers, so there is always the special at the Swan.
Our friends think we are nuts, except for those that are passholders too and go just as much as us. Ds8 doesn't understand just how lucky he is. I have students that have never been to any park. Ds8 does make loads of friends in the parks and has comforted a few kids that were scared to ride the bigger thrill rides. People come to our house expecting a Disney shrine, but no. :rotfl:
