Please forgive me if this is a dumb question. I'm new here! I have AAA and am reading that the 2008 AAA rates aren't available yet. Do they come out the same time as the regular 2008 rates? And can I book myself, or do I need to have AAA do it for me?

Also, are there only a certain number of rooms allowed for AAA rates at a certain time? Or do I get the discount if I'm a member, no matter what?:confused3

Thank you!

AAA

AAA rates usually become available shortly after the yearly rates are available.

There are only a certain amount of rooms designated for AAA discounts, so it's first come-first served.

You can reserve a room-only AAA rate directly with WDW reservations. If you want a AAA package (ticket and dining) you'll have to use a AAA agent.

Another question. If I book a room-only before AAA rates come out, will they flag my reservation to have the AAA rate applied when they're available? Or do I have to keep calling back to check and see whether they're out and I can get one? I really don't want to miss out.

No, it doesn't work like that.

If I were you, I'd just wait to reserve my room when AAA rates are announced. There is no advantage to reserving at regular rate beforehand.

From what I've read the 2008 resort room rates should be available in August. Since that is later than usual, I'd think the AAA rates may be set around the same time. Keep your eye on the boards for info.
