Well what do you like in a hotel?
I was under the impression that they're pretty much the same resort. I could be wrong, though. It's advertised as the Yacht and Beach Club. The Villas, however, are strictly Beach Club.
At least, that's how I've always heard it.

room service, pool, good themeing, nice castmembers, (I tend to dislike kids running around and there parents just smoking and not even caring)

Well it is now a like rule or something that you can't smoke at a Disney resort. Anyway, Yacht Club.

Ok so the Yacht Club is my favorite, it has the feel of a seaside mansion to me. It's lots of polished wood and lush carpets, all with a nautical theme. I've stayed here like 5 times and it's my second favorite hotel. We've always done concierge here and it's great. The Beach Club (which I've never stayed at) is more whimisical. It has lots of pastel colors and reminds me of like someone's beach house. Lot's of shells and all that. Looks good, never stayed there. The plus side to both of these resorts is their pool. Stormalong bay. Which is an amazing sandy bottom pool. The resorts are connected, but I guess they are techincially two different resorts. My personal favorite is the Yacht but I've never stayed at beach. They also basically have the best location so clost to EPCOT you can walk and same with MGM and theres boats to both parks.
Hope I helped!

I voted Yacht Club. I stayed there last winter for christmas. I think it feels a bit more upscale than the Beach Club does. Even if there were screaming children in the lobby...well I didn't notice. My room overlooked the "not-so-quiet" quiet pool. It was a great view...during the day. I basically loved the lobby and the cast members. There was this one older man who worked there who gave me a bandaid for me blisters (darn croc ballet flats...no there not as comfy as the origional crocs!). He then asked me how I was feeling later in the trip....I was surprised he remembered me!!
Good luck on your decision!

Was he dressed up like a captain? If so that was Capitan Bob, he's an older man who greets guests. I see him every time we go and he always rememeber me!
Yeah our room always overlooks cresent bay and the light house. It's gorgeous.

I have several pics of him AND his autograph. He wrote To Tracy, best wishes captain Bob. Then he drew a boat on it. It was so sweet!

Trails In is a family like buffet. It is at the cabins and is quiet and relaxing and has great people working there! They remember us every time. (The food is awesome!)
