As for pirate night dressing, we've all got skull and crossbone shirts. Nothing too fancy; just a way to get into it a bit more than plain dress.

We searched for pirate t-shirts this weekend for me and DH but no luck. So we decided to go for it and we both brought pirate costumes. I was hoping we wouldn't be the only ones wearing it. We thought we could also wear them for MNSSHP on the 16th!

Hi Guys,

I just had the weekend from heck, had to work all weekend. I am so ready for this vacation! 3 more days of work.... a mantra I keep saying to myself over and over again! 3 more days, 3 more days. I did finish packing, but now my DD asked if we could just leave now instead of waiting until Thursday.. I was so tempted to say lets just hit the road. LOL 3 more days!

Everyone that is leaving soon be safe and see you on the boat!

Did anyone watch America's Toughest Jobs last week, they showed The Magic in the LA port. I had to pause it just so I could look at it!

The countdown has begun. Only two and a half more work days.
We are dressing for MKNSCHP on the 9th, nothing drastic. Since being fr Canada DS will be wearing Toronto Blue Jay Tshirt and I will be wearing something orange and plan to have something painted on face. DS says there is someplace in MK that will facepaint.:cutie: :wizard:
Nearly all packed..have to get refills on meds today.. :headache:
Sure hope I don't forget anything:rolleyes1
I must get back to work or get fired:surfweb:

DH and I packed most of our stuff last night. I know I packed too much, but....oh well! We fly out Saturday. This will be the longest week of work! Good thing I work for a Mental health facility!

We're dressing for the pirate thing too! We figured what the heck. We have Palo that night though at 6:30 - so we hope we have time to change and get up to the party!

There is free face painting in Toon town, or at least that is where it was 2 years ago when we went. Be prepared to stand in line for about 1 hour. DH took the kids on the barnstormer about 3 times whilst i stood in line.

Welcome to the boards. I just started myself a few months ago. It is fairly easy to get around here. I found it very organized!

The cruise should be a great time! In the Cruise line forum front page there is a FAQ thread that is pretty useful you may want to check that out for any tips you didn't think of!

Today is my last day at work!!! Leave in the morning. See everyone on the boat!

To post a picture you have to upload to a site like flickr, shutterbug, etc. then copy the URL where it is hosted to the request box here to show the picture.

I am here at work staring at a clock that won't move... 4 more hours and I am out of here :cool1: Just a few more things to do at the house and then I can pack the car and head out. For those leaving tomorrow, good luck.. the waiting is torture ;)

We're getting ready for our last night in our bed!

I've been pretty productive at work this week because I want to make sure I'm caught up on everything so I don't end up having to put out fires tomorrow afternoon. Staying busy has made the time go faster. I even cleaned my desk!

I think if you go to the DIS technical board there is a thread that gives instructions on posting pictures. I haven't done it for awhile but that is where I go to get a refresher on posting a picture. I use photobucket to host my pictures. Hope that helps.

It's 4:00 am and we are our of here and hitting the road. I certainly was the "I am too excited to sleep" gal last night.

I have an aircard so I will check in from the road on my laptop.

That's funny, we also left at 4AM this morning except from New York. It is 6:45 now and we are just about to hit Baltimore (and hopefully not the morning rush hour). We also have an air card so if you see and traffic or trouble spots on the way down, give us a heads up. We plan on stopping in either SC or Georgia.

I was watching the Orlando news last night and some gas stations are selling gas for $2.88 a gallon lets hope this trend continues.

Also the weatherman is saying high winds off the Atlantic for the next few days.

Thanks for the gas tip. We stopped near Richmond for breakfeast and filled up there. I think we paid $3.19. Were just about to South Carolina now so we are making good time.

Hmm, high winds in the Atlantic may mean the seas will be a little rough, we'll see.

Keith -

Traffic has been a breeze. We just drove thru Jacksonville. The cheapest we have seen gas since we left VA is in Brunswick GA at $2.86.

There is about 30 miles of construction on 95 in GA but the speedlimit is between 55 and 60 so not really a slow down. Cops everywhere with radar guns throughout the construction zone so just watch your speed.

Enjoy the rest of your drive. We should be in Port Canaveral by 5:30 barring no traffic.

I am so jealous---I am still here working :headache: --we will be leaving out sometime in the morning---we live in lower alabama and gas here is around $3.25 right now---it was $3.50 earlier in the week---it is usually less once you hit florida. The place where alohabob suggested meeting up---is it kid friendsly?

Hi everyone.. We are back home in VA safe and sound.

What a great time we had. I am sorry I didn't get to meet everyone but it was great to meet all those who we did meet. I didn't do a real good job of keeping my trip report up to date but did get one more day added today and hope to do the rest in the next day or two. Will share the link to my pictures as soon as I have those as well but give me a few days, I need to weed through them all as I took over 1700 :lmao:

Hope everyone else is safe and sound in their homes now.

I'm sorry I had screwed up the time to meet up, I should have made it earlier and not just before the boat drill......SORRY!!!
I was happy to have met up with a few of you during the trip, I kept an eye out for a Steelers shirt but never did see one. I should have just yelled out anyone from DIS boards here?

We pulled in the driveway at home around 3:30 on Sunday (just as the Vikings finished giving away another game:headache: ).

After debarkation we drove to WDW and spent a great (and exhausting!) 3 days in the parks.

A week ago at this time we were enjoying brunch at Palo!

Today; no ocean, no palm trees, no four course meals  ... and we returned home to find that someone spread leaves all over our yard. Time to start working on my raking callouses!

It was really great to meet several of you! Definitely one of the highlights of the trip!

Is anyone doing a trip report? I'm going to give it a try. Feel free to correct me if I get anything wrong!

We just got back yesterday after following the cruise with 3 days in Disney. We had a great cruise and are looking forward to doing it again in October 2010!

I think i saw tears in DH eyes as we took off from Orlando!

I think i saw Steelernut on the first day! He had a Steelers shirt on, so i am pretty sure it was him and the family.

Well it is cold here in NJ and someone also spread leaves all over our lawn too!

10-27-2008, 01:01 PM
Cheermm! How odd we were in the same place at the same time so often!

We enjoyed the boat tour but then again, we didn't pay for it. My dad bought a certain number of tickets for it and we just happened to tag along. I really don't know how much it cost, but I wouldn't have paid very much for it. It was nice to see the island from a different angle, and the fish were neat to feed, but there honestly wasn't much to see in the glass bottom at all. The best part was listening to the boat operator talk and feeding the fish... but if you saw my picture you saw the best of it right there.

I'm jealous! I guess we should book another cruise, even if it's in the distant future, so we something out to look forward to. I've recently broken out the DCL shampoo I brought home last fall. When I smell that scent, I can almost feel the ship rocking!

Kelly, have a blast for me!

We're going to WDW for a quick five days; 11/11 - 11/16. That's our Disney fix this year!

Bob, this has been a really tough football season for me. I LOVE the Vikings. I REALLY don't like Brett Favre. My head is going to explode!
