All right gang, I'm sweating this answer.

I just read somewhere that smoking is not allowed in the cabin?

I'm a non-smoker, but my mother smokes and if the above statement is true, I'm gonna have a problem...I suppose I could just forget to mention it until the ship leaves port (lol).

Can you smoke on the verandah if your cabin has one?

Yikes!...anxiously awaiting replies.

Smoking is not allowed in any stateroom. Smoking is allowed on the verandahs.

You do mean the verandah of the cabin, right?

Yes, you can smoke on the verandah of your stateroom.

Smoking is also allowed on open decks and in all the nightclubs/lounges (except the Promenade Lounge). It is not allowed in dining rooms, theatres, staterooms or any other enclosed area.

Enjoy! :)

And tell her to NOT try and get away with smoking in the cabin. It IS a fire hazard --- BUT, she may also set off the ships alarms and/or sprinkling system.
:D

I love my mother, but...

If I'm in the cabin, hair and makeup done for formal night and the sprinkler system went off...

Well, let's just say a chair at Palo's would open up right fast;)
Splash!...(did I just say that outloud?)

On our 12/1 Magic trip, smoking was allowed in Rockin' Bar D, at the bar only in Sessions, and not at all in Off Beat. This may have changed since this was the last trip during which smoking was allowed in the Promenade Lounge. We were told that the Promenade would be non-smoking beginning with the 12/8 sailing. I don't know if they have changed Off Beat to allow smoking since it is no longer allowed in the Promenade Lounge.
