Im going to grad school and want to do a semester down in WDW doing the CP. I'm going to be either 25 or 26 when I go down. Is that too old? How old are most of the kids in the CP? Are there alot in the 23-26 range? What do you guys think?:confused3

If you want to do, just go ahead and do it. Two of the CPs I worked with were about 27.

thanks guys for your input.

I guess if there are CP's that are 27, then I guess I can do it when I'm 25 or 26...

I've just heard so much about college freshmen going down and not much about older kids, either in their senior year or grad school. I'm not worried about parties (i still do plenty of that), more worried about getting down there and having everyone be 18-21.

How old were you all when you did the college program? :upsidedow

I turn 20 on my first program and was 21 when I did my second.

Wow, I'm 34, a senior and I'm going to apply for the Spring '08 CP. I know, I know, I'm a bit older to be finally finishing college, but that's what 10 years in the military does to you.
My wife wants me to apply for it. It's been a dream of mine to work at Disney World ever since I first visited when I was 8. I applied for Spring 07 and got accepted, but I didn't find out I was accepted until a month before I had to report and it just wasn't enough time to get everything situated.

So if anyone wants a mature, clean person to room with, let me know! Also, my family lives in Florida, so you'd have the room to yourself some nights!

You wont feel out of place here. My roommate is 36. Across the hall are 4 females from us. 1 is 20, 1 is 23, 1 is 37 , and 1 is 51. Yes, the majority of people are 18-21ish, but you will fit right in. There are quite a few prior service here as well. You will recognize them as soon as you arrive lol.

Thanks for encouraging me to apply. I have to admit I was very nervous about applying again, being 34, married and a senior in college. I was afraid that I would stick out and not enjoy it.
Thanks again for the replies.pirate:

From what I understand, nobody is too old, as long as you're in college.

If your in your 20s then no worries... back in fall 05' we had a guy who was 70 something, I took a class with a lady in her 50s. During the arrivals this last year I've seen more than a few who were over 40 and at least two married couples in their mid 30s.

OH my gosh...I was thinking it would be siilly as a 25 year old married Grad student to want to do the CP! I SO want to. I always have.

Now I just have to convince my husband...hmmm...

y'all have given me something to really think about though!

I did the CP at 27, and several of my roomates were 25ish and had just graduated....IMHO, it's much better to go after 21...more fun, less restrictive, fewer worries about one person's mistake causing you to get kicked out...

Just wanted to chime in: I was 19 when I did my program, but friends with people 25, 26... up to 45! I worked with some older CPs, too. Don't worry about it--if you want to do it, I say do it! :) Age is just a number!

I saw a few older CP's on my term, and they seemed to fit in alright.

i was 25 when i was a CP, back in '97. i remember there was a lady that was in her 50's that i would see in the vans sometimes on her way to epcot from vista way.

the only thing i would caution is to maybe request international roomies. they are generally in their mid 20's when they do the international program.

i highly encourage anyone to do the program!! i loved it and made friends for life there! i love my disney peeps!:thumbsup2
