Having read all the info about lots of people being moved from AKL free of charge (on this site and others) due to the construction I called my TA(going places). They phone Thomas cook and the TA told me TC said we were being moved and would have to wait for a letter with details of where we could move to. anyway.. phone again today - no joy from TA so called Thomas cook directly. They told me the letter was sent out 17th april originally to TA (we never received it from TA) and it was informing us of the construction at AKL. However, that aside the lady at Thomas Cook explained about the construction and that Thomas Cook were not moving anyone. If we wanted to move we could do but would have to pay the difference. For the time being we are staying put but I just wanted to know if anyone else was booked with Thomas Cook to stay at AKL and had been moved due to construction free of charge.
Thanks in advance for the replies. Sorry to bore people with more about AKL but just want to make sure I was not being given the brush off and I can relax in the knowledge that we are going to AKL as that is where we want to go (construction included - as we will not be in the hotel durin ghte day)
