I think I read somewhere that water shoes were recommended at DC, but now I can't find it. Does anyone know? I need to purchase some for everyone before we go if they are a good thing to have. We have flip flops for walking around the park, but we can't swim in those .... :)
Thanks!

I was wondering this, too! We'll be there very shortly and I did find DD some cute ones at Target, but can't seem to find DH and I some. May try Dick's Sporting Goods.

My Walmart is packed with them! I believe that I got mine for $2 on clearance. Maggie

We went in June and only my youngest DD had watershoes. She ditched them pretty quickly, we even left the Crocs by our chairs. We were fine without anything. The only somewhat rough area was in the snorkling pool with the coral. I did't get cuts or scrapes though. I won't bring any next time I visit either, the feel of the sand and water between my toes was just heaven.:hippie:

Just in case you do want water shoes but not the 'traditional' kind, I bought some tennis shoes that are for the water. I absolutely love them. They are so cute and so comfy! :cutie: They look like tennis shoes but are made to get wet. They are Land's End and I purchased mine at Sears but you can also order them from the catalogue or online. I think they were around $25-$30 (which is a stretch for me!) but I really liked them and they have come in very handy. You don't have to just wear them in/for water. I wear them when I want a 'tennis shoe' but don't want my traditional tennis shoe. I think I got them before our last Disney cruise. Love them!

I guess my question is was it recommended that you wear water shoes? We don't generally wear them -- I found some for DD and DH .... should I keep looking for me or do we need them??
Thanks.

DC recommends it but you don't need them. We didn't wear them last week and we were fine including the kids. Maybe half the people there were wearing them. You do want to have a pair of flip flops to walk around in.

i honestly think you dont need them at all, all the walkways are made so you can go anywhere in the park, incluiding the aviary, restraunts, everywhere, without any sort of shoes on.

I forgot my watershoes at the hotel last year, and bought some faux crocs there. They were $17--not that bad of a price for a touristy place, and I love them.
