ellison thick cuts??

Does anyone know if you can use the ellison thick cuts on the regular sizzix machine? and if so, do i need anything special to go with it???

They are same thickness as the big red Sizzix dies, so whatever do you do for them should work for the Ellison.

Oh I hope you didn't order any yet!! I did that a few weeks ago when they had their warehouse sale thinking it said they were compatible. They're not! They're the same thickness, but they're wider & won't fit through the opening on the regular Sizzix machine. :headache:

Originals are 4.75" x 5.5" and the Thick Cuts are 5.5" x 6" - but you put the original in the narrow way.

oh thank god i have not ordered them yet! i just like the ones that you can make cards and it cuts out the hole for the inside of the card. if ya know what i mean.

I am so glad I didn't buy any the other day too. One of the stores had them 60% off and I was tempted to buy the bookplates one. That would have really stunk to get it home and it not fit.

Except for the one Thick Cut I got the other week, that's what I did! Only mine were $1.75. I kept thinking "I'll only ever use this for DS's photos from the World Cup next month. Oh wait! It's cheaper than stickers or die cuts." :rotfl2:
