Welcome to my TR. This is my 1st attempt at one so hopefully it will be interesting enough to keep some of you around. As you can see from my title that trip was celebrating something and surprising someone. Let’s start way back in 1991. That’s when DH and I were married…June 22nd to be exact. We honeymooned at WDW staying off-site. This was my 1st trip and I absolutely fell in love with WDW. Here is a picture of DH & I leaving the wedding and then the only picture from our honeymoon that we have of the 2 of us.

Then 5 years and 3 days later (6/25/96) our oldest DD, I’ll call her Jasmine, was born. Then 7 years and a week after that (7/02/03) our youngest DD, I’ll call her Cinderella was born. So at our house from 6/22 to 7/2 our house is one big celebration. Jasmine had been to WDW 2 times – 2/01 & 1/06. Cinderella had been once - 1/06.
Here is a pic of Jasmine on her 1st trip...

And both girls on Cinderella's 1st trip...
http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa48/sldwdw/DisneyPhotoImage60.jpg
After our trip last January our girls couldn’t stop talking about WDW. When it came time for their birthdays last year Jasmine wanted to eat at LeCellier and Cinderella wanted to eat at Chef Mickey’s. Of course we couldn’t do that since we had just been in January.
One night last August I was on the Dis reading about someone who had surprised their child with a trip to WDW for their birthday so I turned to DH and said why don’t we do that next year? Immediately he agreed!! So that’s when I started planning. At that point the 07 rates were not out but I came up with a budget. In September after much research on codes and rates I decided to book our trip thru AAA. Our original dates were to be 6/23 – 6/30. Then the more we talked and planned the longer the trip got. We ended up booking 6/22 to 7/1 at Pop Century with the dining plan and 9 day park hopper tickets. I spent months trying to decide where to eat and my 180+10 ADR date was supposed to be Christmas Eve, this had been confirmed 3 times by calls to the ADR line. The day before Christmas Eve about 2:30 in the afternoon I was doing my “practice run” since I was trying to secure a place at CRT and LeCellier. When the CM answered I played dumb and asked if I could make my ADRs yet and she said YES!! I was so excited…I immediately booked everything that I wanted with 15 minutes of the times that I requested.
Our original plan was to leave after work on Friday and drive straight thru to Pop…a 10 hour drive…not telling the girls where we were going and them waking up in the Pop parking lot in the middle of the night. Thank goodness DH ended up being able to be off of work on Friday 6/22. During the following months I spent hours on the Dis. Then in March I got a PM from another Diser who was starting a thread for people going to the World in late June. I joined and 5,300+ posts later we are all still keeping in touch. Thanks again Disneyolic!!! As our trips got closer several meets evolved and so did some fireworks cruises. So members of our group finally got to meet in person.
Well, the closer it got to our trip the more people would ask if we had told the girls yet and the answer was always not yet. There were so many times that we wanted to tell them but thankfully we held strong. While was Jasmine was away at camp in the middle of June I packed my clothes & Cinderella’s clothes, DH packed his clothes and I packed all of the extra toiletries that I had bought. We hid all of the suitcases so she had no clue when she came home. Cinderella asked a couple of times why we were packing but we just told her we were packing for our annual beach trip and being 3 she bought it!! All of Jasmine’s clothes from camp were finally clean on 6/19 so I didn’t feel too good that night (wink, wink) so DH took the girls out to eat so I could pack her. That was Tuesday night. Then on Thursday afternoon my mom took the girls to Chick-Fil-A and on my way home from work DH called and said why don’t we just leave tonight instead of in the morning? We won’t go to sleep until midnight and we want to leave around 5am, we’re all packed anyway. Of course I agreed and when I got home I started gathering up all of the hidden stuff. When my mom brought the girls home the van was loaded and we were standing outside. We told them to go potty and get in the van that we were all going to the beach for the weekend to celebrate our anniversary. So at 7:30pm on Thursday, 6/21 we pulled out of our driveway headed to the Happiest Place on Earth!!!

Ok well, the beach that we normally go to is only about 4 hours from home so we knew we couldn’t tell the girls we were going there. So we told them that we would be going to another beach and our room wouldn’t be ready until sometime on Friday. We had decided to drive to a town about 2 1/2 hours away and then find somewhere to spend the night. But everyone was still awake and DH wasn’t tired of driving yet so we kept going. That’s when a good friend of ours, also a Diser, Weluvthemouse, called and did some research for us which landed us at the Hampton Inn on exit 203 off of I-10 in Tallahassee.
By this time our girls were asleep and when we got into our room Jasmine said that the last sign she was for Quincy, FL so that’s where we must be. DH and I just played along. After a very restless night of sleep – insert “too excited to sleep” here – we woke up, had breakfast and checked out. DH and I were dying to tell the girls where we were going so when I got in the van from checking out I told them that we were not in Quincy, FL but we were in Tallahassee. DH told them that we were ½ way to WDW and that’s where we were going instead of the beach. They didn’t believe us until we gave them birthday cards with Disney Dollars. Then out of the blue Cinderella started saying that she wanted to go to the beach. But it didn’t take her long to get excited about WDW again. So for the rest of the trip we told them our plans for the week. For all of you keeping track of the days by now it is Friday 6/22 which is DH & my 16th anniversary. So we stopped in Ocala at the Olive Garden, thanks again to Weluvthemouse and her research, for our anniversary meal. (By the way that day is also Weluvthemouse & her DH’s 16th anniversary too.)
Then we continued our journey to Pop Century. We arrived there about 3:45pm. I didn’t have to wait at all for a CM to check us in and our room was ready. We got a luggage cart and headed to Building 10 room 0314. It was a great location. Even though it was not “preferred” we were close to the bus stop and parking lot. After unloading the car we all suited up and headed to the pool. This was the 1st time Cinderella had been swimming since last summer so she was very scared. We got one of the life jackets that they have at the Pop pool but she still wouldn’t let go of me or DH for any reason.
After we swam and cleaned up we went to the food court for dinner and then we walked around exploring parts of Pop that we had missed on our last trip. When we got back to the room I scheduled a 7am wake up call and we all went to bed. We planned to be at MK for opening in the morning. :yay:

WTG on the surprise. I did it 3 times to my DD...first we were going to the beach but when we passed the Nick Hotel she knew where we were (she is an old vet of WDW at 6 1/2).
I cannot wait to hear about your trip.

Our morning starts with a 7am wake up call from Stitch & Mickey. Everyone wakes up happy since it is our 1st day so with little hassles we are at the bus stop by 8am. Let’s go over the checklist…park tickets, check – sunscreen, check - little fans, check…looks like everything is here or is it? Guess we’ll have to wait till later to see. We are thru the turnstiles about 8:35 and see the opening at MK…this is a first for us. Here is a pic of me and the girls waiting for the show. I'm in lime green, of course! :)
http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa48/sldwdw/100_2754.jpg
We make it thru the gates and back to Dumbo in time to ride on the 2nd ride of the day. Here is DH and the girls waiting to ride.
http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa48/sldwdw/100_2758.jpg
We have a blast in Fantasy Land and run from ride to ride. We rode the Carrousel, Peter Pan, Winnie the Pooh & Dumbo. Here are the girls on the Carrousel.
http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa48/sldwdw/100_2771.jpg
The girls and I then decided to ride the Tea Cups and then much to our surprise DH joined us on our 2nd spin. You see he doesn’t like rides that spin but he decided to ride with us this morning. By now you have seen the pictures and I’m sure you can tell that all of us but Cinderella are Pooh size. We were all in 1 Tea Cup and Jasmine delighted in spinning us as fast as she could. DH regrets that ride to this day! We managed to finish FL by 9:40 just in time for the 9:45 opening of Toon Town. We’re on the 2nd ride of Goofy’s Barnstormer. Jasmine wanted to ride it again. Cinderella enjoyed it but didn’t want to ride it again. DH stayed with Jasmine. Cinderella headed over to meet some characters. She chose Minnie, Daisy & Donald. I was excited because in our previous trips we had never seen Daisy. When we got into the room there was a CM with a white vest counting people off. As soon as they closed the doors to the room she informed us that we had all just won Dream Fast Passes (DFP) for the day!!! I was so excited I even took a picture of “Our Dream Team”.
http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa48/sldwdw/100_2779.jpg
Needless to say DH & Jasmine were jealous of our passes! Would this be our only time seeing the Dream Team?…I guess you’ll have to wait and see. After a trip to the Judge’s Tent to meet Mickey we rode the train to Frontier Land.
http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa48/sldwdw/image20-1.jpg
http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa48/sldwdw/100_2783.jpg
This is where DH & Jasmine used “our” DFP to ride Splash. See since Cinderella wasn’t tall enough to ride Splash we decided to share the wealth with them. After that we ate lunch at Pecos Bills. Remember the checklist…well a couple of important things weren’t on there…some sort of breakfast and water bottles. It was now about 11:30 and this was the first food or drink that I had had all day. It was hot and I was feeling awful! I picked around on my hamburger and drank my Sprite. But I must forge on we are at the MK…so Jasmine and I rode Big Thunder while DH & Cinderella went to ride Aladdin’s Magic Carpets. Then we headed over to Tomorrow Land for DH & Jasmine to use our DFP again at Space Moutain. Cinderella & I rode TTA a couple of times...I love that ride...Paging Mr. Morrow, Mr. Tom Morrow. After that it was time for a break. As I said earlier I was not feeling good at all. When we got back to Pop, DH & the girls went to swim and I just stayed in the room & drank water and rested.

They finish swimming and come in just in time to get ready to go to Chef Mickey’s at 6pm. I’m feeling better and ready to go eat. CM’s is one of our favorite places.
http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa48/sldwdw/image532.jpg
As soon as we get to our table it is time for the napkin twirling celebration. We all twirl our napkins and then I head to the food bar to fix Cinderella’s plate…did I say I was feeling better? Well, I thought I was feeling better. I made her plate and went back to make mine. I got what I thought looked good but you see I was so far gone from overheating earlier in the day that I really couldn’t eat anything. Basically my dinner consisted of Sprite and 3 bowls of Beef & Barley soup (I love that stuff). Everyone else had a wonderful meal. The characters were great and spent a lot of time at our table. Here are a couple of pictures of the girls with Mickey & Minnie.

http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa48/sldwdw/100_2794.jpg
After dinner it was back to the MK for the night and to use those DFP.
http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa48/sldwdw/image31.jpg
http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa48/sldwdw/image43.jpg
After our Photopass pics we went straight to Buzz Lightyear then DH & Jasmine went to ride Splash & Big Thunder again. Cinderella & I secured FP for the Jungle Cruise and then rode Aladdin’s Magic Carpets. We met back up with them and all rode the Jungle Cruise. Then we all headed back to Fantasy Land. Then she and I were riding Dumbo when Wishes started…her little eyes were just sparkling with the fireworks in them and she looked up at me and says “Thank you for my birthday at Disney World”…that combined with the soundtrack for Wishes made me cry! Then we sat at the end of the exit ramp of Dumbo and watched the rest of Wishes…I cried again! Then we rode It’s a Small World, Pooh & saw as Cinderella calls it Mickey’s Feel My Magic…that just cracks us up!! By this time it was 10:45 and Spectro was to start at 11pm...since we had an 8am breakfast at Donald’s at AK we decided to skip Spectro and call it a night. When we got back to the room I placed a 6am wake up call and we all crashed!

How great about the "Dream Team Fast Passes"!! I feel like Charlie Brown in "It's the Great Pumpkin" episode.... "I got a candy bar! I got an apple! I got a ROCK." You would think, being there for EIGHT days, we would have seen the "Dream Team" at LEAST once? Nope - "I got a ROCK." lol
I'm happy SOMEONE we know got something!!
And I'm with your DH - I do not spin well. ;)

Thanks for sending me the link. I have not been on the Dis in a little while. I am being forced to plan an non-Disney trip to NY.:scared: I love the part about watching Wishes with "Cinderella" and I am crying reading it because I know how much you love it just like me. If I can't be there, at least I can experience it with you. If we keep staggering trips, maybe one of us can be there at least every year.

Mickey and Stitch call to wake up again. I get up first, then DH about 6:15 and then we wake the girls at 6:30. Getting ready goes OK and we are out to the busses by 7:10. We arrived at AK about 7:30 and headed toward the gate. Our ressie was verified and we were on our way into AK. It is very beautiful 1st thing in the morning with the dew on everything. We checked in at Donald’s Breakfastasaurus, decided not to do the picture outside the restaurant. We were one of the 1st families in, our server took our drink orders, told us that the characters would be out in about 15 minutes and sent us to the food bar. They only had 1 side of the bar open and by that time there was a pretty good size line, luckily all 4 of us had gone up together so there was no getting food in shifts this time! We got back to our table right at the characters entered the room. Now I had read reviews about how the characters seemed rushed here but I was hoping that this would not be the case when we were there. I hate to say it but it was the worst character interaction that we had the entire trip! The characters were so rushed that it was almost like they didn’t even stand still long enough for pictures…seriously some of my pictures are blurry because they were in such a hurry! The food was good and I’m not saying that we won’t eat there again but it’s definitely not on the top of our list. Here is a picture of the girls with Goofy.
http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa48/sldwdw/100_2811.jpg
We finished breakfast about 8:50. DH & Jasmine headed over toward EE to get Fast Passes and ride. Cinderella & I stayed in Dinoland and were on the 1st ride of the day on Tricera Top Spin all by ourselves. We rode again a 2nd time, walked around a little and then headed to EE. When we got there DH & Jasmine had already ridden once and were in line again. DH & I switched places and all Jasmine could talk about is how much fun the ride was!! She & I ride it and it was all she said it would be…it is a GREAT ride!! When we got off we all headed to Kali River, we weren’t sure if Cinderella would be tall enough but she was. We didn’t have to wait at all. The ride was fun but I thought it would be much longer. We all got pretty wet but not completely soaked…which was fine with me! When we got off we stopped by a gift kiosk across from the restrooms and met the nicest CM. She really took an interest in Cinderella and gave her a giraffe finger puppet.
http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa48/sldwdw/100_2822.jpg
We lost the puppet later in the day though and Cinderella was upset. Then we decided that it was time to ride Kilimanjaro Safari so we headed over that way. On our way we ran into DeVine. I love watching her but she creeps DH out so we didn’t watch her very long. Then the Jasmine played the drums. When we got to KS the wait was almost an hour so we decided to FP it and come back later. We went to see It’s Tough to be a Bug. We expected a wait there too but we walked right into the holding area and right in to the next show. That is such a cute show! Cinderella was a little scared but not too much. On our way back to KS we stopped in front of the Tree of Life for a picture.
http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa48/sldwdw/100_2832.jpg
I was a little worried about the amount of animals that we would see since it was around noon but we were not disappointed at all. We saw a lot of animals. I took a ton of pictures but I won’t bore you with those. I’m not sure why I always take so many pics on that ride but I do. After that we were all hungry so we went to Pizzafari. None of us got pizza though! Somewhere in there we rode EE again. Man, that is a good ride! And the girls played the bongos.
http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa48/sldwdw/100_2863.jpg
By that time the afternoon thunderstorm was headed our way so we decided that we would leave and come back to see Festival of the Lion King before our dinner at Boma.

We got back to the room just as the bottom fell out. No swimming that day which was good as we all needed naps. It stormed pretty good which made for good napping! I slept about 2 ½ hours. When I woke up it had stopped raining so I decided to go down to Classic Hall and look around in Everything Pop and then go to luggage services and pick up the fridge from one of the Pop Fridge Swap threads. While I was down there I bought the girls lanyards to put the pins on that I had bought on ebay for them to trade. Just as I got the fridge it started to storm again…lightning is popping everywhere & I am pulling a luggage cart with a fridge on it! I finally make it back to the room and everyone is still sleeping. At that point I knew our hopes of seeing Lion King that day were gone but that was OK we had Friday & Saturday to go back and do things that we had missed during the week.
I wake everyone up and we go to AKL to Boma for our 8:20 dinner ressies. We get there too early to check in so we walk around AKL and take some pictures. The girls really enjoyed seeing the giraffe, zebras and other animals up close. I took a ton of pics here too.
http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa48/sldwdw/100_2879.jpg
It was finally time for us to check in. When I did I told them that it was Jasmine’s birthday (well it was the next day). Boma was one of her favorite restaurants from our last trip and the only reason we went there this time was for her. See, last time DH & I didn’t really care for it. We waited about 10 minutes and were seated in a window seat. I fixed Cinderella’s plate and then mine…it was pretty good this time. DH was impressed this time too…Boma is now on our must do list. I was a little disappointed because the waiter had not said a thing about it being DD’s birthday even though she was wearing the button. Then when we finished with our food he came out with this…
http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa48/sldwdw/100_2889.jpg
The pic is dark but it was some kind of tray with Happy Birthday written in chocolate and all kinds of cookies and candy around it. She loved it of course and even shared some with her sister!! Then he took a picture of all of us at the table.
http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa48/sldwdw/100_2890.jpg
It was a great dinner!! Jasmine really enjoyed it.
After dinner we headed back to Pop. Even though we had all had a very long nap we were definitely ready for bed. The girls bathed and I placed a 7am wake up call and we all crashed! (I’m starting to see a pattern here)…

Our wake up call came at 7 and I was up first, then DH, then the girls. It was a little harder to wake them up this morning. This is Jasmine’s 11th birthday so when she remembered that she jumped out of bed. She was excited about Epcot and our dinner at LeCellier tonight. We all got ready, since we didn’t have breakfast scheduled I made sure that everyone ate either a cereal bar or a Go-Tart and that I had at least 1 bottle of water for everyone. We arrived at Epcot just as they were letting everyone thru the turnstiles. Once in I headed to the Land to get Soarin FP while DH & the girls waited outside. Then with FP in hand we headed over to the Imagination Pavillion and were the 1st people on Journey into Imagination with Figment. That ride is cute. After the ride we all played around in the ImageWorks Lab for a while. Then that’s where my girls started their pin switching (as Cinderella calls it). They really had fun trading with the CMs. Outside the pavilion the girls had fun playing around the fountains. We stayed here a little longer than we should have but they were having so much fun. They even found a little frog in the water of the large fountain. Here we are in front of the large fountain. And if you haven't noticed it yet my 11 year old daughter IS taller than me and delights in telling people that...
http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa48/sldwdw/100_2920.jpg
Next it was time to go to the Living Seas for the new Nemo ride. I was excited to go on this because it was new since our last visit. On the way we stopped and had pictures made with Nemo & Dory…
http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa48/sldwdw/image55.jpg
We waited a couple of minutes to board our clam mobile and off we go on the ride. Cinderella rides with me and Jasmine rides with DH. Cinderella was a little scared in a couple of parts but overall she liked it. The rest of us thought it was really cute. Then it was time for bathroom breaks and wandering around the pavilion. Jasmine wanted to get a picture inside Bruce the shark’s mouth and to our surprise Cinderella went with her. You see, last year she was terrified of Bruce and wouldn’t even go near him…I guess that’s the difference in being 2 ½ & 4.
http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa48/sldwdw/image64.jpg
After the pictures we headed over to Turtle Talk with Crush…Dude we LOVE this show!! We had new CM who was the host of the show and he did a great job!! Shout out to Dude Judson…I’m sure he will probably never see this but he did a really good job. Jasmine thought she was too old to sit up front so Cinderella sat up front by herself. A little girl sitting close to her asked Crush how he goes to the bathroom and then the bubbles started…ha!! It was great and worth the wait as usual. After the show on the way out of the pavilion the girls had to buy Nemo & Squirt at the gift shop.
Now it was time for our Soarin FP so we headed back to the Land. Cinderella was measured and she was tall enough…yay!! We went and lined up on our golden gliders and waited for the ride. Cinderella was a little nervous because this is a “big girl” ride. Once we were loaded and took off she was fine…she giggled all the way through it!! Of course she loved Tinkerbelle & the fireworks at the end! After the ride we decided to eat at Sunshine Seasons, another one of our favorites. Cinderella got the kids make your own sandwich, DH got a grilled veggie sandwich (this is not like him at all but it is what I had last year and he wanted to try it this time), Jasmine also got a sandwich and I got Chinese food. It was all very good and the desserts there…well, they were WONDERFUL!! This is one of the places where Cinderella actually got to get a dessert with her kid’s meal and she chose the dirt cup. Which she wore the rest of the day!! Here she is eating it…
http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa48/sldwdw/100_2925.jpg
After lunch we went to Ellen’s Energy Adventure. We like Ellen’s ride because you can relax for a little while. When we got out it looked like it was about to storm so we headed back to Pop for our afternoon rest. When we got back to the room there was a birthday card from Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, Pluto & Daisy along with 3 balloons on the bed waiting for Jasmine. It was a nice surprise for her.
It never rained but at least we had a good rest and I was able to change Cinderella’s clothes because we were supposed to meet my June Dis friends at the Off Kilter meet tonight and she didn’t need to be wearing her dirt cup from lunch. When we got back to Epcot we decided to take some Photopass pictures since we didn’t have time to on our way in this morning. There are some good ones of the family, of the girls and of DH & I. I’ll post these later when I get the CD. While DH & I were getting our pics made a couple of CMs noticed Jasmine’s birthday button and her pins. She traded with one of them and then the other one gave her a Happy Birthday pin that looked like a Pooh book…it was really cute! Then he said that Cinderella couldn’t go without a pin so he gave her a YOMD Tinkerbelle pin. They were so nice!! I don’t think I have mentioned how many times people told Jasmine Happy Birthday that day…almost every CM that saw her did…some of them even noticed it from pretty far away and yelled to her. She liked all of the attention.
http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa48/sldwdw/image75.jpg
After the pics and pins we did Spaceship Earth since there was no wait. Now Jasmine will ride EE, Rock n Rollercoaster and all of the thrill rides but what ride does she NOT like…you guessed it…SSE!! She hates the going backwards part. She decides that she wants to ride this one with me…lucky me…she squeezed my hand the entire time and kept saying is this where we go backwards? Finally after the ride was over she said “that wasn’t as bad as I remembered it”!!...well then why does my hand hurt?!?!
As we made our way to the World Showcase we took more Photopass pics in front of the fountain & got FP for Test Track. And now it was time to go meet my Dis friends and then go check in at LeCellier for our 6pm dinner. Wait it’s almost 5:45…we were supposed to meet at 5:15 so we could talk, take pics and exchange LGMHs before the show…somehow we lost track of the time!! We got to the Off Kilter show and of course the guys were already singing since we were so late. I looked around and I think I saw SingingMom but I wasn’t sure that was her and we really didn’t have time to stay anyway so I didn’t go over to her and say hi. It turns out it was her and I am so sad that I didn’t go speak to her…sorry Renee!! CrazyKanga and her family were also there but I didn’t see them. Well, like I said we needed to go check in to LeCellier so off we went. When I checked in I made sure that they had noted that it was Jasmine’s birthday. The CM said yes and asked if she had gotten her call yet…I said no and she took the phone out to DD and told her that there was a message waiting for her. It was a birthday call from Goofy…here she is listening to it.
http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa48/sldwdw/100_2927.jpg
Then here is DH & the girls waiting on the table. We always take a pic in this spot.
http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa48/sldwdw/100_2930.jpg
We didn’t have to wait long at all. But while we were waiting I talked to WeLoveTheMouse to fill her in on the trip so far. Our table was in a good location and that’s a good thing because we sat there for almost 2 hours!! I don’t know why dinner took so long but it did…no one else’s around us took that long but ours definitely did. Jasmine loved this meal because the last time we were there she was 9 and had to eat off of the kid’s menu eyeing DH’s NY Strip the whole time. Well, this time she was considered an adult and had a NY Strip of her own!! DH also had the NY Strip, I had the mushroom filet and Cinderella had a hot dog. Before my meal I filled up on pretzel bread dipped in cheese soup…yummo!! At the end our server brought Jasmine a birthday card signed by the employees of LeCeller. Everyone really enjoyed this meal…Cinderella got restless at the end and I had to take her out which was fine because that is a long time to sit there for a 4 year old. We ended up sitting by another member of our June Dis thread but I didn’t know it until we got back…hi yearbook50!
Once outside I wanted some pics with the LeCellier sign for DD’s scrapbooks as I said the girls were tired and silly…here is a pic to prove it!
http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa48/sldwdw/100_2945.jpg
At this point we had to decide what we were going to do…do we trash the FP for TT and watch Illuminations or do we do TT and then do Illuminations on Friday night since Friday is our “see what you didn’t see earlier day”. We all decided to ride TT since none of us had ridden it before. Again, Cinderella just made the height requirement. She and I were in the front & DH and Jasmine were in the 2nd row. We loved it!! Cinderella & I are in the front and DH & Jasmine are in the back.
http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa48/sldwdw/image94.jpg
The girls enjoyed looking at and sitting in the new cars at the end of the ride. DH enjoyed that too!
After this we decided to head back to Pop. Since we got “home” early the girls and DH decided to swim. Luckily Cinderella decided that swimming wasn’t so bad after all. She would let DH let go of her for a few minutes & she even jumped off of the stairs to him. I guess they swam about an hour, came in and bathed, I placed a 6am wake up call and we all crashed.
I forgot to mention that Jasmine must have thanked us 100 times that day for surprising her for her birthday! Of course her sister would echo the same thing. Every time they said it just warmed my heart...they were soo happy & so were we!!

It sounds like you had a very good day...not too rushed yet able to do a lot and have fun! Sorry that your meal took 2 hours. Ours took about and hour and a half there but it didn't seem like it.
I would have done TT instead of Illuminations too just to make sure we did it!

Check out the 1st post...I added some old pics...our wedding, our honeymoon and both girls' 1st trips. They are digital pics of pics so they aren't the best quality but they'll do.

Too bad you didn't have time to stop! But, I totally understand!
Time sort of "gets away from you" when you are in Disney... I was lamenting to Bob that we didn't get to do everything we wanted to, and we were there for 8 FULL days, not counting the travel days, and he said, "That's because there's just TOO MUCH to do down here!" :wizard:

There is too much to do...I guess that's what keeps us all going back!! I have mentioned on other threads before that my mother just doesn't "get" Disney...well, we were showing her the pictures the other day and she said well, it looks you did a lot and kept busy, everyone that I told how long you were going to be there (7 park days) didn't understand what you were going to do for so long. DH told her that there was so much that we didn't do & there's no way to see it all in 1 trip! She still didn't get it! Oh well, we "get" it and have a great time when we are there!!
Glad that Jasmine had a great Birthday at Epcot. She looks like her Dad and Cinerella looks like her mommy.
She has always looked like DH, from the minute she was born I have had people say that...that's a good thing though :) !

Same wake up routine this morning but we were a little later getting out to the bus. We got there about 7:15 and had to wait for what seemed like forever! There was another family there and the mom was very antsy. When the bus finally got there and we were loaded at 7:30…just the 7 of us…the bus driver was in no hurry to leave, that didn’t bother us our ADR at Hollywood & Vine wasn’t until 8 so we still had plenty of time. The other lady went to the bus driver and asked in a not so nice tone why we were waiting that they had to get to breakfast. When she sat back down I asked her what time their’s was she said 7:40 at the Beach Club. I have no clue what time they finally made it the last we saw them they were headed to the ferry at MGM.
On with our day…we waited at the turnstiles for a little while and they let us in about 7:55. I snapped this picture before anyone got in front of us…I love empty park pics.
http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa48/sldwdw/100_2961enhanced.jpg
We checked in at Hollywood & Vine and waited about 5 minutes.
http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa48/sldwdw/100_2963.jpg
We were seated just as you walk in the door to the right at the 3rd table along the windows not in the main part of the room. We all got breakfast and then finally the characters entered the room. Cinderella was so excited!! Leo & June started on our side in the main room and Jojo & Goliath started in the other room. Well just about the time that Leo was going to turn the corner to come down to our table they started dancing and singing. Cinderella didn’t want to go dance so she just sat at the table to sing. Finally Leo & June came to the table. They both spent a lot of time at our table.

http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa48/sldwdw/100_2980.jpg
Then it was time to sing & dance again. The characters changed rooms and we could finally see Jojo & Goliath!! Goliath came to the table for a quick pic.
http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa48/sldwdw/100_2974.jpg
Again just as Jojo was about to turn the corner to come see us it was time to dance and sing again! By this time it was 8:55. Jasmine was getting antsy to go to Rock n Rollercoaster so I sent her and DH on and we planned to meet up with them at TOT. Jojo finally made it to our table at 9:10!!
http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa48/sldwdw/100_2977.jpg
This was a good breakfast and when we go back I will definitely ask to be seated in the main part of the room where all of the action is. We sort of felt left out where we were!
That was breakfast, I’ll start the park touring in the next post…

Cinderella and I leave Hollywood & Vine and head toward ToT to meet DH & Jasmine. Along the way I decide that we need to get a Photopass pic made.
http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa48/sldwdw/image96.jpg
Jasmine & DH rode Rock N Rollercoaster and secured a set of FPs for later. Then we met outside ToT. Last year Jasmine stood in line for ToT 2xs and chickened out at the last minute both times. This time it took some convincing but she had decided to ride…I think it had something to do with the fact that her little sister said she was going to ride it this time! We stood in line for about 10 minutes and then we were taken into the room to see the Twilight Zone part…Cinderella got a little scared but she was still determined to ride. Jasmine still wasn’t so sure that she wanted to ride. But before we knew it Cinderella’s height had been double checked and we were in the front row of our elevator car. By this time Cinderella wasn’t so confident…poor little thing she shook the entire ride…she never cried though. Jasmine was a little scared but once we started the drops she started laughing. When we got off of the ride both girls said that they enjoyed it but did not want to ride it again. After the ride we had to stop and take more Photopass pics.
http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa48/sldwdw/image100.jpg
Since both girls rode for the 1st time I wanted a picture of them together…the photographer told them to pose and this is what we got!
http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa48/sldwdw/image113.jpg
From this point on our day at MGM could not have gone any better...the timing for everything fell right into place! We went to Voyage of the Little Mermaid and waited probably 10 minutes. The show was great as usual…we got wetter than we have in the past. I’m not sure what to attribute this to but I think it is because it’s the 1st time we have been in the summer in a long time. Even though it was still early, getting wet felt good when we got outside. As we were walking out Playhouse Disney was loading. Cinderella and I got a seat on the floor on the left hand side about ½ way down. DH didn’t want to sit on the floor so he and Jasmine sat on the benches along the wall. Cinderella loved this show!! I like the way they have so many of the Playhouse Disney characters in one show.
Then it was on to Lights Motors Action…this is another 1st for us. It was there last January when we were there but the timing was just not right. This time DH really wanted to see it. On our way we saw the Cars characters but the line was too long to wait in. The girls were satisfied with just seeing them from a distance. Then we saw a short line with no characters there yet…as we approached Kim Possible and Ron Stoppable came out and we jumped in line. My girls LOVE that show! This was one of the best character interactions we had the entire trip…they were great and took up a lot of time with the girls. Kim knelt down, hugged Cinderella and talked to her a long time. Ron talked to Jasmine…they stayed in character…they were great!!
http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa48/sldwdw/100_3007.jpg
DH was a little antsy that stopping to see Kim & Ron would put us too late to get good seats for the show but it didn’t. After a potty break we found some really good shady seats under the fans in the stadium. It was getting pretty hot and I don’t know if we could have made it sitting in the sun…my Disney misting fan came in handy here too!! This is a really good show…I didn’t expect there to be so much narration and setting up of the scenes but it was really good. It was neat to see how some of the special effects are done…if you haven’t seen it I’m not going to give away the secrets. At the end they tell everyone to get their cameras ready for the big finish…I wasn’t exactly sure where to focus but I got a picture of the car in the air!!
http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa48/sldwdw/100_3020.jpg
We decided that we had better go back for our afternoon rest after Lights Motors Action. On the way back to the front of the park we passed Muppet Vision 3-D and decided to do that. The timing here was great we walked right in to the loading theatre! This show is so cute!! And it felt good to be in the A/C after sitting outside so long!
Now the next part is where luck comes in, as I said, we were headed to the front of the park to go back to Pop for our afternoon rest when we hear the High School Musical Music. I had researched the best places to view this show but I just wasn’t sure that I could be where I needed to be at the right time. The float had already passed and I told DH & Jasmine to follow me and sure enough just like what I read the next thing I know Cinderella’s stroller wheels are on the red line & she has a front row “seat” for the show!! I was so proud that I had gotten my girls that close. They loved the show and we all sang the songs. When it came time for the audience to get out there and dance neither one of the girls would go…I couldn’t believe it…they do that dance at home all the time!! Oh well, we still had a ton of fun and they liked the fact that we were covered with red & white streamers at the end…in fact those streamers decorated the stroller for the rest of the day!! Here is a pic to show just how close we were to the cast…

Now it was time to go back to Pop. We had a quick bite to eat at the food court for lunch. We were all so tired and hot I couldn't tell you what any of us had to eat! When we got back to the room everyone but Jasmine fell asleep.

Sounds like you had a great day at MGM!
We sat in the direct SUN on those METAL seats for "Lights, Motors, Action"! Boy, was it HOT! Good thing I had the mister fans!
Last year we got rained out, so it was an important "must see" this year, because Bob rarely requests to see anything, and he really wanted to see this! It was good, but HOT! :scared:

Great installment!!!! Love ALL the photopass pictures! Especially love the Nemo one even though yall are squinting a little bit--- The colors are so vibrant and it's really pretty. And I love the picture of the girls in front of the Epcot ball!
Love the pictures. You are beautiful, btw, imho. Can I say that?
Your daughters are lovely.
Yes you can say that b/c I think she's beautiful too!
That show gets you saturated!!!! We were so wet when leaving there! And it was our first time to do it, so I didn't know what to expect, but it was a lot of water!

Love your trip report so far! What a wonderful surprise for the girls! I hope to someday surprise my two with a trip to Disney!
Talk about luck with the positioning for High School Musical! We recently found out about this show and DD wants to go see it so bad. We were not scheduling a trip to MGM this trip, but I think I might just see if my uncle can get us in one day so that we can go there after our cruise.

I think the bright sun was part of the reason why the colors in the Nemo picture was so good...squinting and all!
Thank you...you are so sweet.
I can tell you the last 2 times we went to the Little Mermaid show we didn't get nearly as wet as we did this time!!

Thanks for reading!! Surprising them was fun but it was SOOOO hard to do!! But it was definitely worth with. Good luck if you decide to surprise your kids!
HSM was a cute show...most of the cast looked like the real characters and they sang all of the songs...my girls loved it!

Since we've been home, Dana's become very interested in "Hannah Montana"! We don't watch much tv, so it is comical to see her enjoying it so much!

I woke up after a couple of hours and Jasmine was watching TV…she had not been to sleep at all. I could tell that Cinderella and DH were no where near waking up so I decided that Jasmine & I would go back to MGM to ride Rock N Rollercoaster and Cinderella & DH could meet us there when they woke up. They would just call us and we would meet up. This would have been a really good plan but my cell phone was dead and I didn’t know it!
I wake DH up enough to tell him the plan and off we head to MGM. On our way to RnR Jasmine and I get some Photopass pics made. The photographer was great…she was also from Alabama so we talked to her for a little while.
http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa48/sldwdw/image122.jpg
Jasmine was excited to ride RnR again…we ended up riding it 2 times. Afterwards more Photopass pics…I like this one of her.
http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa48/sldwdw/image134.jpg
About this time is when I realize that my cell phone is dead and I start to worry. How in the world would we find them if my phone was dead? I remembered seeing a public phone on our way to RnR so we try to find it. Luckily we find it and I make a credit card call to his cell phone…he doesn’t answer. Later I found out that this call cost me $5!! Then I decide to go to Guest Services to see if they have a house phone that I could use to call our room. I leave Jasmine outside where she can see the turnstiles just in case they came in while I was in Guest Services. The CM points me to a phone in the corner where I call the room and get no answer. Then she says that I can call DH’s cell phone with the same phone. Again, no answer. I decide that we will stay where we can see the turnstiles for a few minutes. Jasmine looks at some pins to kill time and in about 5 minutes I see DH & Cinderella coming thru gates!! I was so glad to have found them! Jasmine and I didn’t get to do as much as I had hoped but we still had fun just the 2 of us.
Our plan was to eat dinner at Toy Story Pizza Planet so we head straight there. On our way we see the same photographer from Alabama that took our pic earlier and I got her to take one of the family.
http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa48/sldwdw/image140.jpg
We go straight to Pizza Planet and eat. The food was good…not outstanding but good. While we are in there Jasmine’s glasses break and she gets all worried that we will be mad. I looked at them and she had just lost the screw that holds the lens in place. So I told her that we would find another screw if we had to go to Wal-Mart. She got down on the floor and started looking for it and I told her not to worry about it…it is so little it would have been next to impossible to find it in there. On our way out we took pictures at the Muppet fountain.

We were all tired and we had an early morning again tomorrow so decided not to stay for Fantasmic, we liked it last year but it’s just not a “must see” for us so we headed back to Pop.
When we got back I sent DH & the girls on to the room and I stopped at the gift shop to see if they had an eye glasses repair kit. They did and it was only $2…I thought it would be much more if they had it at all. I got back to the room, fixed her glasses, made sure all of us girls had a bath, placed a 6am wake up call and we all crashed.
Well folks, this is the last update for a while. We are leaving in the morning to spend a nice relaxing week in beautiful Orange Beach, Alabama :beach: . Hopefully my thread won’t get buried too far back! I’ll try to post another update on 7/30. Have a great week!!

Let’s see, where was I?…Wednesday morning Mickey & Stitch called at 6am. This time everyone was pretty easy to wake up because we were going to one of our favorite restaurants, Cinderella’s Royal Table, and we would be celebrating Cinderella’s birthday. She wore her Snow White dress and her birthday button. We didn’t have to wait on a bus too long and before we knew it we were thru the turnstiles and waiting to walk down MainStreet USA. They let us into the park shortly before 8am and we headed straight to CRT. We would have been the 1st family there but the blisters on my feet slowed us down greatly on this day. Never the less we were the 2nd people to check in. As we were waiting they called the 1st family in and their DD was Princess of the Day. She got to have a special photo session with Cinderella and lead everyone up the stairs to the restaurant. At this point I was a little jealous because if it had not been for my blisters one of my girls could have probably gotten to do that but I didn’t let it bother me too badly. After the Princess of the Day had her photo session with Cinderella the rest of us were let in. Cinderella was so nice to the girls and their picture was good.
http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa48/sldwdw/image523.jpg
And when I loaded it into my Photopass account we had an extra picture that I didn’t remember them taking. I think it is so sweet!!
http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa48/sldwdw/image527.jpg
When we got upstairs we were lead to a table by the window…I love sitting by the window and looking out at an empty park!! Our server brought Cinderella a placemat signed by the Princesses and some princess confetti for the table. Then he brought our food…we love the food here!! This is the 3rd time we have eaten breakfast in the castle and each time we have been in the 1st seating of the day. There’s just something magical about sitting there eating and the anticipation of the Princesses entering the room and then the look on the girls’ faces…oh it’s just priceless!! Well, I guess for our family it is $150…we were on the DDP but I did pay for this meal OOP…we love it but don’t think it is worth 2 TS credits.
About 8:20 the Princesses enter the room and Belle is the 1st to come to our table. She immediately noticed Cinderella’s birthday button and told her Happy Birthday. As you can see it was very bright by the window on this morning.
http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa48/sldwdw/100_3054.jpg
Then Snow White came to the table. She noticed Cinderella’s birthday button & her Snow White dress. She was so sweet and talked to Cinderella about how their dresses looked alike.
http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa48/sldwdw/100_3057.jpg
Now I hate to be negative about the next visitor to our table but I just don’t know why Mary Poppins is included in the Princess Breakfast. Neither one of my girls are big fans of hers. There wasn’t much talking just an autograph and a picture.
http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa48/sldwdw/100_3059.jpg
Sleeping Beauty was last. She was very sweet and talked to the girls a long time.
http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa48/sldwdw/100_3062.jpg
At some point in the meal our server brought Cinderella a cupcake. She really wasn’t interested in it though. Then it was time for the Wishing Ceremonly. The last time we ate at CRT was 3 days before they changed the set up so this time was our 1st Wishing Ceremony. It was kind of cute…the girls liked how the Castle sparkled at the end.
We were finished with breakfast and waiting at the rope at 8:50. Jasmine asked if we could go try to wake up Tinkerbelle instead of heading straight to Dumbo. I told her we would see if anyone else was going to do it and if not we would try. Because we came out of CRT we were on the extreme right side of the castle I didn’t think we had a shot. And sure enough just before rope drop I saw the CM tell the family at the extreme left side about it so we didn’t even try. We headed straight to Dumbo. By 9:20 we had also been on Peter Pan and Winnie the Pooh (2 times). So we decided to go over to Ariel’s Grotto. This was a 1st for us because we have never taken time to stand in line here. When we got there only 3 families were ahead of us so that made us very happy!! It turns out that the Grotto opened earlier than it usually does on this day. My girls were really happy to get pics with Ariel with her mermaid tail.
http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa48/sldwdw/100_3097-1.jpg
After this we headed over to the Mad Tea Party where we rode them about 3 times…DH did not ride them at all on this day.

Well, this was a trick that I learned here on the Dis...when you purchase the photos at restaurants or if they are included like at CRT they have an Event Number printed on them...usually in the upper right hand corner...if you type that number into your Photopass site it will add the pics that were taken there to your Photopass pics. I was surprised that they had a couple of CRT borders to add too.

Well, we have never been to the store to wake Tink up. There has always been someone else in front of us so we just head straight to Dumbo but from what I understand is that the 1st child in there can somehow wake her up and she flies around the room. There have been threads on this on the Theme Park boad so if the search function is working try looking it up.
Oh, something I meant to post on your thread when you were worried about not getting the correct Photopass card from the photographer that time is to take a digital picture of your card as soon as you get it. So if you do lose it or it gets mixed up with someone else's then you will still have the number to enter on the website...that would have saved Ryan a walk back to the front of the park! :rotfl:

We got to Toon Town just as it was opening and we headed straight for Goofy’s Barnstormer. Cinderella rode with DH and Jasmine and I each rode by ourselves. We rode it 2 times and Cinderella wanted to ride again but Jasmine didn’t. Jasmine went to Minnie’s house and Cinderella & DH rode again. I sat out in front of County Bounty so everyone would know where to meet. After the ride Cinderella wanted to go see the princesses again. So we stood in line for what seemed like forever. All the while I was keeping my eyes open for people leaving with prizes from the Dream Team. Remember it was here that Cinderella & I won our Dream Fast Passes on Saturday. Finally we were let into the room and no Dream Team…what was I thinking?...we couldn’t see them twice in 1 trip. The princesses were wonderful with our girls!! Jasmine decided that she wanted her own pics made and didn’t want any with her sister…so that is what we did. Let me say the photographers here were WONDERFUL…they took a ton of pics for us.
Aurora was 1st…she talked to Cinderella a long time and talked about her birthday & her princess dress.
http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa48/sldwdw/image172.jpg
Here she is with Jasmine.
http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa48/sldwdw/image181.jpg
Next up was Cinderella…she was so sweet, asking our Cinderella how old she was and telling her Happy Birthday.
http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa48/sldwdw/image184.jpg
Here she is with Jasmine…I like the way all of the princesses took up the same amount of time with Jasmine even though she is older than her sister.
http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa48/sldwdw/image194.jpg
Last was Belle…let me say she was absolutely the best princess we saw on the entire trip! Not only was she BEAUTIFUL she was sooo sweet and she took up a lot of time with both of our girls!! Sorry if you were outside waiting on us! These are some of my favorite pics of the entire trip!!

http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa48/sldwdw/image209.jpg
I told you she was beautiful and sweet!!
Now it was time to go for some big rides…Splash & Big Thunder but wait…
As we were leaving the princess room we passed another room where none other than the Dream Team was standing outside giving away Year of a Million Dreams Ears. Oh, the girls & I wanted some so much!! So we talked DH into standing in line for the other room…now which room? I remember from the other day that Cinderella and I had to pass all of the other rooms when we left Minnie, Daisy & Donald so that wasn’t it…it must be the other room. So off we went to stand in line for the other room…when we got to the line we realized it was Snow White, Goofy & Chip and Dale. We got in line and waited…were we in the right place?…would they be out of ears before we got finished?...so many questions but we had to wait and wait and wait much to DH’s dismay. Finally we were let into the room…was the Dream Team there? Would we get some ears? Were we too late? I guess this is where you will have to wait and see…

So if you do lose it or it gets mixed up with someone else's then you will still have the number to enter on the website...that would have saved Ryan a walk back to the front of the park! :rotfl:
Yes, I should have taken the picture of our photopass card! Rags gave me that idea too after I posted about that.... I will totally remember that next time! I was SO scared that the cards were mixed up, and would have spared some hard feelings from Ryan too =)
Glad the beach was fun! Hard to come back to reality, huh?

great update! Oh how I wish the Year of a Million Dreams promotion is still going when we go! :wizard: Even though i know the chances are slim, it would be great to know there is a chance. LOL
Thanks!! Maybe it will be still going on when you go...I read a post yesterday where a CM told someone that YOMD would continue thru '08. I wish you luck & pixie dust!!

Thanks!! I knew you would like these pics. Yes, it was hard to come back to reality. For several months now I have had trips to look forward to 1st Washington DC, then Disney, then the beach...I told DH at Target tonight that I just didn't feel right not going to the travel size section to pick up something for a trip!

As we were walking into the character room I was searching for anything that would indicate that the Dream Team was there or had been there but no luck, no Dream Team in sight. We were too late :sad1: …oh well, they were just ears anyway, they would have been nice to have but seeing the Dream Team 2 times in 1 trip was asking too much. So on with our character interaction.
First up is Chip & Dale, they were fun and playful as usual. We had pics of each girl and then a family pic made with them.
http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa48/sldwdw/image232.jpg
Next was DH’s favorite, Goofy. Again we had pics of each girl and then the family. I have no clue why I am holding the camera like that again!!
http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa48/sldwdw/image244.jpg
Last was Snow White…she was very sweet and talked to Cinderella a long time about how their dresses matched. She also talked to Jasmine a while.
http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa48/sldwdw/image256.jpg
http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa48/sldwdw/image247.jpg
DH was glad that the character meetings were over and we could head on to Splash and Big Thunder. As we walked out of the character room who was waiting on the other side of the door but our friends…the DREAM TEAM!! :yay: :yay: :yay: Yeah, we had not been too late they were standing outside the door with a big bag of Mickey Ears!!! We all got our Mickey Ears and proudly wore them out…well, DH claimed that his didn’t fit so he didn’t wear his very long. :rolleyes1 Here is a pic of the girls with theirs on.
http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa48/sldwdw/100_3114.jpg
At this point we headed to the train for Frontierland…the train was very crowded and it was extremely hot by now. I had the stroller, DH had Cinderella & Jasmine was walking along with them. A very nice CM saw me with the stroller and opened a gate for us so we didn’t have to walk all the way to the back of the train and then back to the front to get a seat. I went thru the gate and quickly found a seat all the time thinking that DH & the girls were behind me but they weren’t…they never saw the CM open the other gate so I rode all the way to FrontierLand at the front of the train on a seat by myself while they were at the back of the train sitting with someone else!
We quickly went straight to Splash for Fast Passes. And it was getting pretty hot so we decided to not to wait on Big Thunder, we would do it later. So we decided to do something that we had never done. We went to the Hall of Presidents…it was about 15 minutes till the next show but we didn’t mind waiting inside in the A/C. While in there Jasmine & I started reminiscing about our trip to Washington DC in April. She was telling things that she had learned about different presidents. Here is a pic of them waiting for the show…notice the “serious” look on Cinderella’s face. :rolleyes1
http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa48/sldwdw/100_3117.jpg
After HOP we decided that it was time to go back to Pop for lunch and a rest.

We were sitting at lunch today talking about my next installment and I was asking if they remembered what we did during our break on this MK day. DH couldn't remember but Jasmine did...that will come later but here is DH's TR...
We had fun on all of the rides, we ate A LOT of food, we sweated a lot because it was hot as crap, we took a lot of pictures and have memories to last a lifetime.

When we arrived at Pop we headed straight for the food court. I can’t remember what we all ate that day but whatever it was it was good. We love Pop’s food court. When we were finished with lunch the girls decided that they wanted to swim so we all suited up and went swimming for a little while. The water felt soooo good!! After swimming we went back to the room to get ready for dinner back at MK.
We had a 6pm ressie at Tony’s Town Square. So we hopped a bus back to the MK…this one was very crowded…this is the only time we had to stand on our way TO a park the whole trip. If we had not been so close to our ressie time we would have probably waited for the next bus. All of us but Cinderella stood and she sat on the stairs at the back of the bus. Poor little thing she was so tired from the morning at MK & swimming that she fell asleep sitting up!! I had to lean down and keep her from falling over a couple of times. When we got to MK I wanted to get a Photopass in front of the gates. As you can tell Cinderella wasn’t quite awake yet and did not cooperate!!
http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa48/sldwdw/image261.jpg
After the pic we headed to Tony’s to check in. We had not eaten there since 2001 and like it then but I was a little nervous about eating there with the mixed reviews here on the Dis but this is one place that DH really wanted to eat. After about a 5 minute wait we were seated in the center of the restaurant by the fountain with Lady & the Tramp. We ordered appetizers…DH had the Mixed Greens, Jasmine had the Tomato & Mozzarella Salad, Cinderella had carrots & celery with ranch & I had the Spinach Artichoke Dip. Jasmine did not like hers so I shared my spinach dip with her. The appetizers were good. For entrees we had the following…DH had the NY Strip, Jasmine had the Chicken Florentine, Cinderella had the Spaghetti & Meatballs and I had the Eggplant Rotini. I LOVED mine, DH said his steak was good but not as good as LeCellier & the girls both liked theirs. We had an interesting thing happen during our dinner…another diner walked over to our table and asked what everyone was having. She said that she couldn’t decide and she was surveying tables to see what looked good to her…I can honestly say that has never happened anywhere else before!! For dessert Cinderella had an ice cream sundae, Jasmine had pistachio crème brulee, DH had the ice cream bomb & I had the amaretto cheese cake. Dessert was yummo!! We had a very good dinner and we were happy that we had chosen to eat there!! Here is a pic of the girls by the fountain.
http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa48/sldwdw/100_3135.jpg
After dinner we rode several rides I can’t remember in what order but I know we rode Magic Carpets of Aladdin, Buzz Lightyear, Mickey’s Philharmagic, Small World, DH & Jasmine rode Splash Mountain. We saw something for the 1st time ever…the Enchanted Tiki Room…that was pretty cute…I’m glad that we didn’t have to wait long though. Then we ate a Dole Whip…we weren’t hungry but we were right there, it was hot and we had never had one before. It was also yummo!!
After our Dole Whip it was time to go to our Wishes Cruise. Now, I don’t think I have told you about our Wishes cruise yet. I had wanted to do a fireworks cruise but I just couldn’t decide if we should really do one or not so I didn’t book at 90 days out. Then several other Disers on our stalking thread were meeting for cruises. One night 1Andrea posted that she would like to go on a cruise. Well, I checked with DH and we decided that if we could share with 1Andrea and her family we would do it. I posted back and we agreed that I would book the cruise. I called and sure enough they had a Wishes cruise for the night that we were going to be in MK & had planned to watch Wishes. It was a regular boat with no sound that would leave from the Contemporary at 9:30pm. 1Andrea said that sounded good to her so we would meet at the marina. I was very excited because I was going to meet one of my stalking friends that I had been chatting with for a couple of months.
Well, it was time to head to the Contemporary for the cruise so we left MK and hopped on the Monorail. We were all so tired & my feet hurt so badly by this time that neither DH nor I paid any attention to which Monorail we were getting on. We ended up getting on the one that went to the Ticket & Transportation Center not the Resort Monorail. So at the T&TC we changed monorails and got on the resort one…well, the Contemporary was the last resort on the route. When we got to the resort we had to make a potty stop. We finally reached the marina at 9:25. We met our captain & 1Andrea, her DH & her DD & we got Cinderella a life jacket. Before long we were on the boat watching the Electric Light Parade. Cinderella & Andrea’s DD had so much fun sitting by each other and talking about everything they had done on their trips. Andrea & her family are from Liverpool, England and it was the last night of their 2 week stay. We had fun talking about the differences in England & the US. And for any of you that are wondering, we did have some accents going on…a family from England and a family from Alabama…yep accents!! After the light parade our captain positioned us for Wishes. Since our boat didn’t have the music I don’t think that we got the full effect of Wishes but it was still very good! This was fine though because I cry every time we watch Wishes but without the music I didn’t cry in front of my new friends! When our cruise was over we all decided that dropping us off at the Grand Floridian would be more convenient than going back to the Contemporary. We talked to Andrea & her family while we walked around the GF and then it was time to say our good byes. I couldn’t believe it but later that night I realized that we didn’t get any pictures with them!!
After the cruise we headed back to Pop. We were all exhausted!! NO wake up call set tonight…tomorrow was our MUCH NEEDED REST DAY!!!!
I’m sorry there weren’t any more details or pictures of our MK day but honestly our rest day was overdue. We were all exhausted all day long!!

Our rest day was finally here…:cool1: :cool1: I don’t really remember what time we woke up but we all slept late. We still had plans for our rest day but nothing set in stone until 6pm at Cinderella’s Gala Feast at the Grand Floridian. I had booked this meal for her birthday. I also told the CM at Pop when we checked in that we would be celebrating her birthday today. Our plan before dinner was to swim, to go to Wal-Mart and Downtown Disney.
We all ate pop tarts in the room and got ready to go swim. The computer pool was closest to our room so we choose that one this time. I swam for about an hour and then went in to take a shower and get ready. As I was going to the room I saw a CM on a Segway delivering balloons but when I got to the room there were none for Cinderella. I decided that I needed to put the latch on the door so I didn’t have anyone come in while I was in the shower. :scared1: Sure enough as soon as I get in the shower I hear a knock at the door and someone try to open it. When I got out I opened the door to a balloon bouquet and a card from Ariel to Cinderella. I put it inside where she would see it when she got in from the pool. She was so excited when she saw it since her sister had gotten some on Monday.
Everyone took showers and got ready. By now it was lunchtime and swimming had made everyone hungry. We decided to go eat at the McDonald’s that you can see from the bus on the way to Animal Kingdom. The girls had wanted to eat there everytime we passed it. Not gourmet or exciting food but right up the girls’ alley.
After lunch we went to Wal-Mart to get t-shirts. On Saturday when we were in the MK we saw a family and all of the girls/ladies in the group had on a bright pink shirt with 2007 and characters on it. It was so cute that Jasmine stopped them and asked them where they got them. When they said WM I knew we had to go, you see pink is my FAVORITE color and Disney is my FAVORITE place so I had to have a pink Disney shirt. The WM was new and very nice. We all got shirts there and then we headed to DTD.
Here is where I got a little peeved at DH…he decided that he didn’t need to read road signs that he could get us to DTD. We drove around for 30 minutes…we found Sea World & the new water park at Sea World and then finally we found DTD!! I tried to tell him early on where to go but he wouldn’t listen to me. :confused3
When we got to DTD our 1st stop was Goofy’s Candy Shop. We had never been here but we had heard a lot about it and seen it on the Travel Channel so we just had to go there this time. It was neat and we spent too much money in there. :rotfl: Even though we were on the dining plan we didn’t use any of the snack credits here. We found a table outside and ate our goodies. After Goofy’s we wandered around in several shops in that area. Then we headed over toward World of Disney…my feet were hurting so much by now that I just didn’t really want to walk around too much more. DH had the camera and wanted to take pics of/in the Lego Store. He took about 20 pics. If you want to see them let me know & I will post some of them. While he did this Cinderella played on the playground and Jasmine & I sat there and watched. After this we quickly went in World of Disney. We didn’t have much time because it was about time to go to the Grand Floridian for dinner.
I will post that separately and there will be tons of pics in that update.

Thanks!! This is the 1st time we have ever done a rest day. But with the heat we had to have one. It honestly came too late in the trip...we should have rested either Tuesday or Wednesday...I'll know better when to plan it next time.

Well, thanks to BabyPiglet I was inspired to go ahead and do an update tonight...
We were running very close to our 6pm dinner at 1900 Park Fare but we were in dire need of gas. So DH stopped at the Hess station at DTD. As he was getting out of the van somehow he hit his head on the door jam. I was worried about him because I could tell that it really hurt. He had a headache for a couple of hours afterwards. Since we were so close to our ADR time luckily I had thought ahead and packed our Cinderella’s Cinderella dress, shoes & crown. We quickly left DTD and drove to the GF. DH decided that he would just park our van himself and not pay for the valet. This was a decision that he regretted. He dropped us off in front of the hotel and then he went on his journey to park. Apparently the self parking lot is a long way away from the hotel. When he dropped us off we went straight to the restroom to dress Cinderella. She was so excited that it was hard to keep her still enough to dress her. After she was dressed we went out to the lobby to meet up with DH…he still wasn’t in yet. So Jasmine & I sat there and watched Cinderella dance around in her new dress. Here is one of the many pics that I took…
http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa48/sldwdw/100_3162.jpg
DH finally made it in and after a quick pit stop we went to check in to the restaurant. The girls went over to meet and have their pictures made with the Fairy Godmother.
http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa48/sldwdw/100_3169.jpg
We waited about 10 minutes total and then we were escorted to our seats. Man they pack people into this restaurant!! We were seated at a table along the right hand wall where one side was the long booth and the other side was 2 chairs. DH & Jasmine sat on the booth side and Cinderella & I sat in the chairs. There was hardly any room between the tables on either side of us. It was very uncomfortable for us and the other diners. Jasmine & I went to the buffet 1st then DH. The first visits to our table came from Suzy & Perla. Jasmine decided that it was too crowded for her to get up every time a character came to the table so most of these pics only have Cinderella in them.

Next was Prince Charming…
http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa48/sldwdw/100_3172.jpg
Finally Cinderella made her way to our table. Our Cinderella was very excited to see her again!!
http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa48/sldwdw/100_3182.jpg
This time Jasmine decided to have her picture made…
http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa48/sldwdw/100_3184.jpg
Suzy & Perla came back by the table…we didn’t take pictures with them again though. Then Prince Charming came by. This time all of us girls wanted our picture made with him.
http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa48/sldwdw/100_3187.jpg
That was the end of our dinner. It was good but not the fabulous meal that I had expected. Maybe it was because I was worried about DH hitting his head or the fact that we were packed in like sardines…I’m just not sure but I just wasn’t wowed with it like I had wanted to be. Don’t get me wrong it was a nice meal and the food was good but I much prefer CRT to Park Fare.
After dinner we decided that we wanted to ride the monorail around the resort loop. I had read several posts about riding in front of the monorail so we decided that’s what we wanted to do. We talked to the CM on the platform and told him that we wanted to ride in the front. He warned us that we might have to wait for a couple of monorails before we found one with a vacant front car. We ended up waiting thru 5 monorails before we finally found one where the people in the front were getting off. Just as they got out some people waiting to board ran to the front and got in the car. Asked the CM if they could do that because he didn’t see them…well, he went down and made them get out. He said that they have to take people from the platform that are waiting first. They were not happy but we had waited patiently and it was finally our turn to ride up front. The view from up here was beautiful!! When we got back to the GF we were all presented with monorail drivers licenses. Of course we took pictures. The first ones are of us and then the next one is of an on coming monorail.

After our monorail ride we walked around the resort and took pictures…a lot of pictures. Here are a couple of the girls with the vehicles outside.

After this we decided it was time to go back to Pop. Tomorrow was Epcot at rope drop again. I set a 7am wake up call and after everyone got a shower we all went to sleep.

I loved riding in the front of the monorail. I am trying to decide if I should do a Princess themes meal for the 2 girls I am taking. Me and my cousin will not be interested but hey how long can it be. We shall see. Will not be CRT, I will not pay that much for it.
Great update.. :thumbsup2

That was our first time to ride in the front and now we will try to do it each time. I would love to see everything from the front at night.
I would suggest the Princess Storybook Breakfast at Norway if you decide to do a princess meal. We did lunch on our trip in 06...the character interaction was great but the food was a little bit to odd for our tastes and you can tell by the way we look that we're not too picky when it comes to food!! :rotfl: I have heard that breakfast there is great...we just didn't have time to do it this time.

It is so good to see your reports again. I have been having serious withdrawls...............lol I just love the pics.
When we were there this past Feburary we were able to wait for a ride in the front of the monorail but, only 8yo DS got the drivers license. And the driver was not the friendliest either. Ok I am not ready for the rope drop..........:rotfl:

Stitch and Mickey woke us up at 7am again. We were all a little slow getting ready but we still made it to Epcot for rope drop. Actually we made it all the way in to the fountain…this was a first for us!! The plan was for me to go to Soarin’ to get a set of Fast Passes and DH and the girls to go to Test Track and then we would all meet up at the Living Seas. So I was on the right side of the fountain and they were on the left side. When they dropped the rope off to Soarin I went, along with everyone else!! With the blisters on my feet still hurting I was not one of the fastest guests that morning. By the time I got to the FP machines there were already good size lines and of course I picked the one that had some FP challenged people in front of me. I finally got my set and decided to go ahead and ride. I waited about 15 minutes…while in line I met the nicest ladies. It was a lady with her 2 little girls and her mom. They were from TX and just some of the nicest people…we had a good time visiting and passing the time. As we were headed down the ramp they called for a single rider and off I went so our visit was cut short! Soarin was wonderful as usual!! Since it had taken longer than I expected I thought DH & the girls would be waiting for me so I called them as soon as I got out of the building. DH didn’t answer his phone so I tried again about 5 minutes later. He still didn’t answer so I went on over to the Living Seas and sat out front. They finally came…they loved Test Track again. The plan was to go back over there when our FP window opened up and get a set for all of us to ride later.
We went in the Seas and rode Nemo 1st thing. There was a very short wait. We like this ride too!! After the ride we decided to explore since we didn’t really have time to on Monday. We spent a lot of time in the area with the real fish from the movie. It is amazing how many Nemos they had…ha!! Then we went to the part with the video games. Cinderella found her one to play…she did pretty good 2 out of 4…the funny thing is she can’t read and she chose Chinese (I think as the language)!! Here is a picture of her playing…

http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa48/sldwdw/100_3226.jpg
Now it was time for Turtle Talk so we made our way over to the waiting area. Before long we were let into the theater and both girls sat down front this time. This show was great again!! I would love to know how they do this…the facial expressions on Crush crack me up!! After the show we spent some time in the gift shop and then headed to the World Showcase.
On Monday we didn’t spend a lot of time in the World Showcase so that was to be the focus today. All of us love fried fish so we wanted to eat at the Yorkshire County Fish Shop. On our way we stopped and took this…
http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa48/sldwdw/100_3231.jpg
We got to the Fish Shop about 10 minutes before it opened so we just sat at the tables beside the lake and talked about our favorite things from the trip so far. When it opened we were first in line. The fish here was OK but I doubt that we will eat there again. It was very greasy. So we were disappointed with this meal. After the meal we took some pictures with the lake in the background. Here is a pretty good one of me and DH…

I don’t think I have mentioned that this is the day that we were celebrating our anniversary. I had gotten us anniversary buttons on our way into the park.
After the pictures we walked over to Great Britain and explored some of the sites and shops there.
Well, it’s getting late so I’ll stop here…thanks again for reading and sorry it has been so long between updates!!

Dana loves "fish & chips", too, so our first night we ate at the Rose & Crown - outside on the patio.. She really enjoyed it and it didn't look too greasy... I wonder if they cook it differently than at the Fish Shop?
We LOVE the shops in Great Britain. I always buy some twinning tea and a spoon or something. lol ;)
Very nice photo of you and DH. :)

From Great Britain we traveled across the International Gateway Bridge to France. This was the first time that we had ever spent a lot of time in France. We took our time exploring. First we stopped at the fountain…
http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa48/sldwdw/100_3252.jpg
Then it was getting time for the next showing of Impressions de France. We went ahead and went in the waiting area. The cool air inside was a welcomed change from the heat outside. While we waited our girls decided to do their own impression of a gargoyle…
http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa48/sldwdw/100_3257.jpg
The theatre was less than ½ full so we choose a seat right in the middle. The movie was very good. France is beautiful. On our way out we looked around in the shop. DH loved the music from the movie and also the music that was playing in the shop, he checked to see if they sold a CD with that music but sadly they don’t. The girls decided to try on berets. I should have made Jasmine wear something other than black because it hardly shows up in the picture. They looked really cute though!
http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa48/sldwdw/100_3258.jpg
One more stop by the fountain and we were on our way to another part of the world.
http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa48/sldwdw/100_3264.jpg
http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa48/sldwdw/100_3265.jpg
Now it was time for a potty break on our way into the restrooms DH spotted this gorgeous tree. If you will notice the huge gray cloud you will see what is coming our way.
http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa48/sldwdw/100_3266.jpg
Next up was Morocco here is a picture of DH & the girls at the fountain.
http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa48/sldwdw/100_3267.jpg
We went in hoping to meet the real Jasmine and possibly Aladdin. But they were not in there. I did take a picture of our Jasmine with this cute hat on. Again I should have been more aware of the background…one day I’ll get better with my photography skills!!
http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa48/sldwdw/100_3271.jpg
As we were leaving Morocco there was a short line that had formed along the lake with a PhotoPass photographer. We asked who would be arriving and they told us Jasmine if it didn’t start raining. Well, we could tell that the rain was just around the corner but we decided to wait anyway. It wasn’t long before she came out and we were 3rd in line so we would get pics before the rain…yay!! The girls had their pic made with her and then DH wanted one of just him…well no one but me understood that and Jasmine made me get in there. Here is some of my wonderful editing…I took me out of the pic but you can still see my camera…ha!!
http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa48/sldwdw/image270.jpg
On to Japan…we found another PhotoPass photographer and had some more pics made.
http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa48/sldwdw/image275.jpg
We watched the Japanese drummers and then the bottom fell out. We quickly made our way to the main building. DH really wanted to see the tin toy exhibit. On our way in the girls decided to do some origami. Then a really sweet CM from Japan painted their names in Japanese on a strip of paper.
http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa48/sldwdw/100_3274.jpg
http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa48/sldwdw/100_3275.jpg
We spent a good while in the toy exhibit where the girls worked on masks at the KidCot station. We could tell that the rain had let up so we decided to move on. We stopped at the pool with the fish and stayed there a little while.
As we passed America it was about 20 minutes before the next show and we decided not to wait because we wanted to see as much as we could before the rain started again. Of all of our times at Epcot we have never toured America…we have to do this next time!
As we approached Italy it started pouring rain again and I put my camera up. We took cover on a bench outside a shop for about 30 minutes along with several other people.
I’ll stop here for now…up next a snack in Germany.

Hi LizAgna! I'm glad you posted on my Disneyland TR because I saw your signature and simply had to check out your TR too!
All I have to say about America is that if Wishes makes you cry, brace yourself for Golden Dream at the end of the American Adventure. I'm about to sniffle just thinking about it. If we ever go to WDW at the same time, I'm sure we'll be a boo-hoo-ing mess!
Anyway, I thoroughly enjoyed your TR. Hope to see another one real soon! ;)
