Well we are all (or most of us anyway) are assuming that CRV is the next DVC resort on property. Let's get more wishful thinking underway. What do you think will be the next one, or what do you hope will be the next one on property? If you choose 'not attached to a current resort', then tell us what you want the next DVC resort to be like. Maybe we can give Disney some ideas!

Omigosh! Never expected to be in the majority of anything, and here I am!:thumbsup2 I guess my days of "marching to a different drummer" are numbered! :rolleyes1

(Oops, does 1 of 2 count as a majority?)

I think the next WDW DVC resort (after CRV of course!) will be a whole new resort, not just an add-on at an existing resort.

Dixie Landings........ Oh yes...

Damn... something tells me I should check out the Poly. Never been there.

Poly also for me!! If Disney is monitoring...there seems to be a lot of Poly interest!!! I'm sure it would sell out very quick. Although I will certainly buy CRV first!!!

I voted "not connected" but what I really wanted to say is none of the above as I am hoping for a DVC at Disneyland next or some other non-WDW location.
Sorry, I voted before I read the full post asking for the next on-prop DVC. CRV is my hope for the next on-property after that, I guess the POLY. I just read the poll title: What do you hope is the next DVC resort?

I am going with something in Anaheim - I'd love a justification to spend a week at DL since I've never been. Technically, that's still "on property", right?

For a WDW resort I'd like to see something with an international theme - I think Asian (aren't there plans for this somewhere?) or European (storybook villas?) would be really cool.

On property at WDW I want to see one developed colocated with Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach

Who says the next DVC property can't float????:dance3:

What if they had a dedicated DVC cruise ship??? I would love to cruise with Disney, but the required point amounts are prohibitive. So that part of my membership isn't really usable. In fact, I think that would be a BIG plus for new members--and those of us they have already reeled in! Knowing you have more obtainable options--options that no other company offers. Perhaps they would have to structure it differently for the DVC cruise members--using a different point scale only for them...?????

I just think that would be completely different and extremely popular!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:yay: :yay: :yay:

You didn't include a DVC at the Grand Californian in Disneyland so I didn't vote, but that's where I'd hope for the next one!

DL is cool... The rides are a bit better and some of the closed favorites, Mr Toad and the rebirth of Nemo's subs, are there. But my biggest complaint is that the illusion just isn't as strong... mainly because on tall rides like ToT you can see the interstate... you don't feel lost in your own little world... which to me is the BRILLIANCE of WDW. I don't get that feeling anywhere else... Universal, Sea World, etc.

I hope it is the long forgotten "Eagle Pines resort". I like the resort idea next to a golf course-hey, it worked for OKW and SSR!!

Another vote for Hawaii here. I don't think we need any more WDW resorts unless they build more parks.

After CRV:banana: , i believe that for DL DVC will convert the Paradise Pier (all or portion over)

On-site, think a great idea would be a small-ish POC themed area @ the CBR in the more far-flung buildings. As in a lower point requirement per night to entice those on a budget/entry-level buyer. Perhaps even with restriction as to exlusive usage only @ that entry-level resort?

I'm with dianeschlicht and dizzneebabe on this one, give me Hawaii or a cruise!!! (I wouldn't complain about something in the Caribbean either, I'm not picky!):rotfl2:

Voted unattached but had not read the on-property requirement. I was thinking of DL probably attached to GC. As an on property Poly would be fantastic and it is the only MK resort that might have the ground to build one.

Sorry but that project is now a Four Seasons. The development will include a luxury hotel, 18-hole championship golf course, single- and multi-family vacation homes and fractional ownership vacation homes. They indicated in the press release that work could commence this year and open in 2010.

I would love to see one at the Poly and my guide surely knows this. It really would be cool but I just don't see it happening anytime soon. The Poly is to popular for them to take a bunch of rooms out of commission to turn into DVC.

I think the Poly has plenty of room to add on instead of just turning rooms over to DVC. If you look at 'on property' DVC resorts, the BCV, VWL, AKV (except for the renovated part), and the "CRV" are all an add on.

I will probably buy additional points if CRV becomes a reality. But beyond that, I would strongly campaign for offsite DVCs. I would take Hawaii, the Bahamas, the USVI or any other island. Being the beach lover that I am, I would jump at the chance to add-on for a tropical home resort. :beach:

Although I see your point, for those of us west coasters it would be nice to be able to get our disney fix without having to pay in my case at least $1200 for a family of 4 in airfare to get it. I would also be able to go more than once a year too!

Disneyland DVC, then Hawaii.
