I am not able to book a package since we are going on a Disney Cruise and then going to EPCOT and spending a night in a hotel the night before we head home. We really won't be in the room much except to sleep, but it would be nice to stay at Disney. We will need 3 EPCOT tickets and 1 room for 1 night for 3 adults. Any ideas about how to get a Disney room at a discount for Oct 6 07 or can recommend a hotel near Disney off property?

You can always call Disney and book a room only, or a room and tickets. You could even ask them about a Good Neighbor Hotel and see if that could save you a few $ or even be worth your time. (Disney does book GNH stays for guests too.)

What is a Good Neighbor hotel? I haven't heard of those? Could that prompt a deal?

Good Neighbor Hotels are various hotels that Disney has contracts with and meets Disney standards.
Personally I would be hesitant to stay at any non-Disney hotel that was not a GNH.
And if I did and the hotel was not up to par, I would let Disney know, as GNH standards are important to them.
GNH include Holiday Inns, Doubletrees, etc. And many sell park tickets in their lobby too.
You could call Disney and ask what Disney has available and pricing, and inquire on Good Neighbor Hotel options and availability too. One stop shopping. :)
Like any hotel, some offer more perks than another. It is all depending on the hotel.
