I am planning to be at WDW 4/24-4/29 & am chopping at the bit to book already. :yay: I am looking at 2 rooms at Pop but haven't decided for sure yet. That's why I have been crazy-reading the resorts board trying to decide where to stay.

We haven't told our DS10 that we are going, most likely we won't be telling him until after the trip is well paid off (most likely not until 3 weeks before we leave) and we are hoping not to tell him that his favorite uncle is going until we get on the bus to go to the airport. I can't wait to see his face when he realizes his Uncle is going :cool1: . Right now we still have to get our airfare, so until we get that I won't breath easy. But man I can't wait. After what a horrible year it's been we really need this vacation.

So our plans have completely changed!! Still driving down April 20-26, but instead of staying at ASMovies we're getting a timeshare for 5 nights for free!! All we need are tickets and food. So the cost of three adults and three children for tickets and food will be $2500 that's a savings of about $1800 from our original Disney hotel cost. I'm not crazy about not staying on-site, but we're saving so much money you can't walk away from it.

jdarl - we have been at WDW in April a couple times and have always found it nice and warm (80s), not too warm, and not too humid, which I think is the key for Florida, esp. inland in Orlando. Now, please keep in mind that we are coming from the Buffalo, NY area (yes, we've heard all the jokes!), so 50s are "warm" for us in April, but you should enjoy the weather at WDW in April...

I'm not sure how this works but when I called to order the tickets for one of the April days, the woman told me that they are only selling them for 1 week.
She was not sure if they would go on sale on-line and that they were told that they were selling for 1 week only...I don't know if that is true or not.

We are almost 45 days out from our trip. I decided to do one last check for a package with the upgraded hopper passes before paying off the trip. The CM in reservations told me every hotel is fully booked for our dates (23rd to the 27th). The only thing she had to offer was the YC, club level with lagoon view. I am getting a little concerned about the lines at the parks!! We have always gone in early March but had to do a school vaca week this year due to dd workload. We just couldn't pull her out for a whole week this time. Yikes! :scared1:

We just switched from CSR to Pop. The pool slide will be closed at CSR, so we may as well stay at a value resort. We'll do CSR next time.

I've never been there in April before, but- when we went in December, the same thing happened- there weren't any available rooms during our time period close to our departure, but when we arrived, nothing seemed bogged down- AND, we were able to stay an extra night at POP even though before hand they had claimed to be *full*. It definitely didn't seem full at the hotel- so I wonder if at certain times Disney sets up the illusion of busy just to trick people? Or they don't release all of their rooms until right before the dates?

I am keeping my fingers crossed that it will be like December when it was illusioned to be packed, but in reality, it wasn't! :cloud9:

We are going to be at Coronado Springs March 30 to April 2 then over to Wilderness Lodge until the 5th.

I went to Disneyland as a solo and met up with a great family and spent the day as their adopted sister. One of my favorite memories of Disney.

We're booked from April 7th to the 16th at the POFQ. First time for me, we have stayed at Old Key West and at the CBR. Changed our plan's which were originally from the 10th to the 19th but found out about the Senior Nights at MK.

We are going to be at Coronado Springs March 30 to April 2 then over to Wilderness Lodge until the 5th.

I went to Disneyland as a solo and met up with a great family and spent the day as their adopted sister. One of my favorite memories of Disney.

I'm sure that you and your boys are going to have a great time. I remember the same excitement when my husband and I went to Disney with our four young boys. Now, we only go with our youngest who just turned 15. Actually we are leaving this Thursday (3/20). I would have preferred to go after Holy Week but made a mistake with the reservation. So, we'll go to church on Friday and to the parks on Sunday. You guys will be there the week after. Have a great time!

We all understand your excitement. We'll be there the same time only at OKW celebrating our 30th wedding anniv, :hug: WITHOUT KIDS! We are tooooo excited to sleep! Who says Disney is just for kids? I booked today finally, after agonizing over how much I'm spending on the trip!! We'll be at Pop from April 27-May 1. I made my ADR's for 3 character lunches! Wasn't able to get Chef Mickey's, but I'm thrilled at the fact that we'll be at 3.

I had an awesome CM, who almost had me convinced to but an AP, but I chickened out because I don't know if I'll be able to get back within an exact year. My husband got a 40% off code, but we weren't able to make the dates work. I was bummed. But, my little one will be 2 on August, so I'll have to pay her airfare after that, so I guess it evens out for now! I'm not going to tell my almost 4 year old yet, because I don't want to be asked every morning "Are we going to Disney World today?!"

I have 10 days to go until I fly into MCO and hop on a DME bus! I have lots to look forward to also! I get to go solo for the first time. I get to stay at POR for the first time. I get to meet some really cool DIS'ers that I have come to know and love on these boards. I get to have Lunch with an Imagineer. I get to meet Deb Wills! I am truly blessed to have been fortunate enough to take this trip. I am really looking forward to it.

Is anyone else planning to meet Deb Wills on the 20th? I am dying to know who else from the DIS that I might get a chance to meet.

we leave on thurs. This time I am ot going nuts packing. I am bringing the minimum. it is a 4 day trip. I am bringing 2 shorts, 4 shirts for myself. 1 sweat shirt and 1 long pair of yoga type pants, bathing suit. I always over pack this time I am going with under packing.

What do yall pack ahead of time. Right now our weather is crazy. Friday it was hot 84(plus humidity) then tomorrow it is suppose to be about 57. I really can't pack clothes since we will need pants and long sleeve early in the week and then toward the end we will need t-shirts and maybe shorts. If your wondering where think Master's (Augusta, GA). During the day it can be hot and wear shorts and at night pants and a jacket.
