Phone numbers for restaurants?

There was a thread here somewhere about aging kids for the dining plan (paying for an adult as opposed to a child). I have a 7 year-old who doesn't really like the typical chicken nuggets, pizza, mac & cheese - he likes trying all different foods. I would like to call the restaurants directly and see if they have any opposition to this but can't seem to find any of the numbers (except for Kona). Does anyone know where I can find a list of the numbers, or has anyone done this and what was your experience?

Disney Dining should be able to give you the phone #s for the restaurants. DD has food allergies and they always give me the #'s so I can call ahead and speak to the chefs about her allergies.

Am I missing something? If you want your child to be an adult just tell Disney he's 9... they don't check. (They check the other way but not if you want to pay MORE!)

We go every year so he is in the computer so they have his age.

I managed to find this web page for the direct phone numbers of the WDW resorts and a few other common places (like the kennels) ( http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/wdw/common/phoneList?id=PhoneListPage ) but I was wanting what the original poster asked as well: does anyone know of a list of direct phone numbers for the WDW restaurants?

If you are on the dining plan and he is listed as a child, there is no way around it, he will have to order a child's meal, short of you just paying out of pocket. However if you upgrade him to an adult ticket and adult meal, he can order whatever he likes on the menu.

Not all the restaurants are just chicken nuggets/mac and cheese on the kids menu, btw. Some offer kid-sized steaks and fish as well. Instead of calling the restaurants directly I'd check out the menus online and make dinner plans accordingly. Buffets are also a good idea since he would be able to sample all of the food offerings.

I don't believe it's up to the individual restaurants as to whether you can "age" a child for the DIning Plan (if this is what you're asking - I'm a little confused). When you purchase the DDP for a child, that child can choose items on the child menu (where available - and the only TS restaurants without a kids' menu are Bistro de Paris and Victoria & Albert's, which don't accept the DDP). You cannot use a child credit to purchase an adult meal, period - again, if this is what you're asking. Any Cast Member who overrides the system and does this, even if the meal is really FOR a child, risks losing their job.

Now, if what you mean is can you explain at the individual restaurants that your child won't eat anything on the directed menu and can he instead have a child portion of an adult entree... the answer is "maybe, it depends on the restaurant". But an answer you get on the phone today isn't binding even at the table tomorrow. You might want to consider a lot of buffets.

On the other hand, if you're NOT using the dining plan and are asking if your child can order from the adult menu when you pay out of pocket - sure. Absolutely. It's your money.
