Hi still working on the planning for the July 2001 trip and I have two questions.
1-I am planning on taking my nebulizer with me, I do not need it all the time but on occasions it is a huge help, is it possible to take it to a first aide station in a park and leave it there while we visit the park?
2-Recently my husband has been having great difficulty with movement, he had a stress fracture in his left thigh bone brought on by the fact that his right leg is 1/2 inch shorter than his left leg. This has meant around the house he has been using a cane, we would like to take the cane with us to WDW and we are looking to find a cane that folds to put in our bag that is on the back of my manual wheelchair. Has anyone ever seen or know of where I can find a folding cane?
Thanks so much for all the help

I am sure there will be no problem with keeping the nebulizer at the First Aide Station. They are happy to keep meds refrigerated if needed as well.
Have you tried the medical suply stores in your area for the folding cane? And, may I suggeset that he consider using a scooter rather than trying to do the distances on a sore leg? If somebody else can push you, that is...

Thanks Teri for the response, I have not been able to check the medical store due to car problems but will try this week. I actually suggested the scooter idea to him and he kinda shrugged and said he would think about it...which is his code for I don;t know if I would feel comfortable using one.
Thanks again

I was able to get a folding cane at our local medical supply shop. And you're right! They are great when using a wheel chair, eating in a restaurant - easy to get out of the way. I needed to have mine shortened a little to get the right height, so I was glad to find it locally. However, my mother had ordered one - either by mail or over the Internet. She's not home tonight, but I will try to find out for you where she got hers. ;)

The nebulizer question sounds like a good one for WDW RESORTS/SPECIAL RESERVATIONS

They should be able to tell you for sure whether you can leave it at First Aid. I know people have psoted that they left the nebulizer in a locker, but those are near the entrance of each park, not very centrally located. Someone also posted about a small, battery operated nebulizer. Don't know if that would work for you or not, but it did sound more portable.
