If you'll go to the thread Orlando Hotels and Resorts I'm sure you'll find answers to all your other HIFS questions there! In the mean time, call them at (toll free) 1-877-387-5437 and they'll send you a free brochure and yes, there is free transportation to the 4 Disney theme parks! Also free breakfast buffet , all you can eat, free puttputt, etc!
Also, check Mary's site for discounts.
Good luck!

Hi, Daisy!
I think HIFS is on 192, not in the DTD area. I'm going to move this over to the Orlando hotels board. HIFS isn't a Disney resort so you might find the answers to your questions there.
Good luck! :)

Holiday Inn Family Suites isn't located right at DTD, but it is not on 192, either. It is Lake Buena Vista and is just outside of the main gates on 536. It's a fabulous place for families and my own (5) kids prefer it to onsite.
I can't help with the transportation questions because we had our own vehicle. But I can tell you:
~pool is zero entry and there is a wading pool for the little ones. My kids enjoyed the pool games played in the afternoon.
~karaoke in the evenings is a blast, along with Bingo
~kids eat free
~free breakfast for all (and you can eat in the dining area or take it back to the room)
We appreciated that the food for the 6/7 was a real bonus. We found it to be plentiful and basic (ie not fancy-the kids wouldn't eat it) cereal, toast, eggs, hash browns, sausages, pancakes, coffee, tea, milk, juice, biscuits, bagels, oatmeal . . .
~lockable king room for parents, with it's own tv, telephone, etc.
~Nintendo for the kids
~arcade
~check in for the kids includes a couple of tokens
I know that some people don't like HIFS, but for us, it was an ideal bridge that allowed us to stay onsite later on the trip. We wouldn't hesitate to stay there again!
