What view at BWV would I have to request to possibly see Illuminations from the balcaony? I know nothing is a guarantee but It can't hurt to request it.;)

When we had a Boardwalk view, we could see fireworks. They were over the YC/BC.

Boardwalk Views and Standard Views almost all have some limited view of fireworks. Preferred views almost never do. So if you want a fireworks view, start by requesting BW or SV (which are guarenteed views - you book them when you book your room - they are also the most popular views - preferred being an oxymoron in this case - generally you need to book fairly early to get them). Then, the higher you go and the further away from the elevators you get, the better the view of the fireworks is. That's where the request comes in.

Thanks! I would have guessed the opposite.

If you don't get a room with a good view, I suggest you just walk down to the boardwalk and stake a spot near the Atlantic Dance Hall / Jellyrolls area - down at the end of the boardwalk going towards the Swan & Dolphin. We went out there on a couple nights during our vacation in October and had great views of the fireworks!!

there is a bench over closer to the courtyard that allows you to see the mK fireworks - 'wishes' - between the yc & bc....:goodvibes
