we are taking our kids and grandkids for a birthday gathering in Dec, we booked the fantasmic and candlelight shows now the kids say that is more then they can afford so if I purchase the DDP for hd and myself and keep the reservations I made for the 9 of us can I just use my ddp to cover all there meals. We will all be eating together and they are staying on my points at SSR?

No, the DDP credits can not be shared with people NOT on the DDP.

Sorry!

No, the key that has your DDP credits on it say how many adults would be on the plan and you can only charge that many at a meal. So 2 adults on DDP only 2 TS credits will be taken at the meal.

Not only can't you share with people not on the plan, but I think you might have a bigger problem than that. You and DH can't get DDP if the other people on the ressie are opting out.

If the other seven people are on separate ressies from you (ressies, NOT separate rooms), you'll be okay. But if it's all one confirmation number, you'd better call MS and try to get it split into those on DDP and those who aren't.

Depending on when you're going, splitting the ressie up could be an issue, because it is essentially a cancellation and rebooking...and therefore subject to availability.
