What happens if you have ressies and don't show up on your check in day? Let's look at this situation. Flying from Boston in Feb. with a connection in Pittsburgh. What if you miss a connection and can't call the hotel? What if you get snowed in? Can they give away the room, even though you have in a sense prepaid?

TIA

Since the reservation points will be considered spent on check-in day, I'd assume the room will still be available for you. I'd also STRONGLY suggest calling the resort to confirm your intent to come (or not)- even if you will lose the points.

Hopefully, you would be able to find a telephone at the airport in Pittsburgh if you miss a connection.

Good Luck with the flight!

HI,
Nothing to do with ressie but noticed you fly out of logan. If you are planning on going to orlando (MCO) after 4/23/02 - then I suggest you check out American Airlines website - Flights from 4/23/02 until at least 12/07/02 are $110./pp RT nonstop (this inludes taxes etc) We got 6 tickets (3 for mid jul and 3 for 1st wk dec) total cost $660.

They hold the room and they charge you the points. You should keep the front desk number handy and call if at all possible should there be a problem. DVC considers things on a case-by-case basis so if there were some catastrophic event like a major blizzard and you called, they might consider reinstating your points.

Just curious...I just checked the AA site and the cheapest they gave me was 220 rt bos-mco in September. Was this a special promo?

I had this happen to me on my first DVC trip. We were on the last flight of the night and it got cancelled. When we got back home that night I call BW, MS was closed, and told them. I lost my points for the night but the good thing :) was that our room was ready when we arrived early the next day.

To all that may have read about American Airlines great deal on roundtrip nonstop boston to orlando - I am sorry to report this fare is gone. I purchased our tickets on 1-27-02 and thanks to another DVCer rechecked the fares on AA website and the lowest fare RTNS was $220. I posted a new thread on this board and as stated in that one I check the airline websites often and if I see any deals I will post them from now on the same day I see them
Sorry
