Why thank you! I do visit WDW a lot, and when I am here the main thing I do is character-hunt. Meeting characters (as well as do character meals) is my hobby. :blush:

So any tips from the expert? ;) My DW and I went in Dec 07 and did more character pics than usual and did charater autographs for the first time. We ended up with about 89 autigraphs over our 6 day trip. :thumbsup2 It was a lot of fun.

Unfortunately all I can say is keep your eyes open. It takes a lot of work (and luck). Sometimes you need to be in the right place at the right time. Good luck to you!

So this might not be high on anyone else's list but my two yr old loves Little Einstein's. We went to the Playhouse Disney breakfast at H&V the first day of free dining and there were about five other tables occupied and that was it! She got tons of one on one time with the characters. The played with her toys and played games with her etc.. The look on her face was priceless. She just couldn't believe she was meeting "her" Leo and June.

I like this one simply for the story leading up to the result!
When DD was posing the first time, I was just about to take the pic, when "Mary" held up one finger and said, "No, this will not do. Ladies to not stand with their hip jutted aside. Don't you remember? You must stand straight as a rail; ankles together with your feet just so (i.e. slightly outurned)."

Once DD did this, then I was given permission to take the pic.

Jan 08: Goofy and Pluto decided to steal me from my friends after we took a picture, and then Pluto got to one knee, then cried when he had to leave me! :lmao: I was so giddy and excited, I swear it looked just like a commercial! We ended up with a whole group of parents/kids around us watching.

These pictures are great, but hilariously funny! There's something so demented and amusing about how perky the characters look, knowing that it's 2 in the morning.

This was Marchish of 2007 or 2006. My grandmother is disabled, so we had to enter Star Tours (her favorite ride in DHS - but can't stand the movies :rotfl: ) in a different line. All of a sudden, Darth Vader came up behind me :lmao: It was just one of those "what?!" moments that I laugh at to this day. :rolleyes: (The same thing happened to my grandmother around 1994 - when she was able to walk. We were waiting in line, and someone put their hand on her shoulder. She figured it was my mother, she turned around and it was Chewbacca trying to get through the line and she SCREAMED. Everyone around us was laughing :lmao: )

I enjoy this one too, just because the person I was with, we actually celebrate the same birthday (she's a year older than me, however). And we both absolutely adore Disney (yay for her actually coming up to visit me!) Ariel was really sweet, not to mention a great sport. We waited in line at the Grotto in MK for quite a while, and when we got there she spent quite a bit of time with us, even though we're "big" kids. She listed off all her sisters, who were listed in my autograph book, and then all of Snow White's dwarves just for fun. Also, when she signed my autograph book, she started to write "Belle". She got the BE out and then started laughing and blushing like crazy!

Yeah, Bolt and friends have been out for a few months now (although Mittens disappeared for a bit, and came back out for the dvd release).

The wait for the fairies is interesting. For one thing, they don't show which fairies are out (so you don't know who you will be meeting). That makes it tricky if you have some of them already. When I went there, the posted time was 75 minutes. But I only waited about 45 minutes. And the characters came down because the castle show was canceled. Otherwise, they still don't do meets at the castle.

Oh my goodness Joanna!! She was the sweetest, most beautiful and perfect Belle we've ever seen! Meeting her was truly a magical moment for my DD. She was so wonderful with Gabby at the PSB and she asked her to come and see her in France in the afternoon. Sure enough, we saw her in France later that day and she called out to my DD, "Princess Gabby, you came all the way to France to visit me!" It was the best and when the Beast came out, I nearly lost it! Belle and the Beast created such a special memory for us. I'll never forget her! :goodvibes

We had stayed around till after the Kiss Goodnight, it was probably around midnight. We were just strolling around the Hub area and this little tuckered out kid went up to Chip. Chip sat on the ground and the little guy promptly lay down, snuggled up in Chip's lap. And Chip was rocking back and forth a little, and I bet might have even been humming a really quiet lullaby. :cloud9: I always think that this picture has 'Disney' written all over it.

Unfortunately all I can say is keep your eyes open. It takes a lot of work (and luck). Sometimes you need to be in the right place at the right time. Good luck to you!

The biggest "tip" I have is that be on the lookout for Secret doors around buildings. One time we were shopping in Adventureland when all of a sudden a wall opened with Alladin and his handler. We got a quick pic and autograph. If you see a big blank wall near a shop or some other place, just look it over for a door seam.

Well, we visited WDW from 05/04/09-05/14/2009. One thing that we wanted to do was get our pics taken with all 5 fairies, and guess what, we pulled it off. We only waited about 30 mins total both times too. Here they are:

Funny story behind the Captain Jack pics, he kind of literally stalked me all night, in line, in the POTC gift store, on the ride in the line, little kids kept yelling "Mommy! It's Captain Jack Sparrow's girlfriend" thankfuly I had a pirate persona cooked up. Dread Black Jenny.

Ok TECHNICALLY not a chac pic but I was acting so much like one let's let it go on a technicality. I was eating and this little girl was CONVINCED I was Capt Jacks girlfriend, she kept pointing and shyly waving as I went all in character and proceeded to yell about how my coke wasn't rum. I finally just swaggered over to give her some of my treasure from my pouch and she wanted a pic with "Cap'n Jacks pretty girlfriend" so bad. Almost made me cry.

Ok there's a looooooong story behind the Captain Hook pics. Let's just say I am a Captain Hook fangirl to the extreme, and I han-made a Captain Hook shirt and it got me more attention than I ever bargained for culminating in Hook grabbing me by the hand and dragging me across the park to taunt Peter and Wendy because the back of my shirt said "Peter Pan is a codfish" I have it on video to. Then we danced......soooo cute! One of my fave Disney moments. I'l spare you the whole story.

Ok these are super-special. I took my Dad and Step-Mom to Disney for their first tripn in MANY years. I made ressies at Chef Mickey's all the time in a panic thinking they would hate the screaming kids, hate the characters. Let's just say I was pleasantly wrong.

I'm a sap. I love Silvermist SO MUCH I CRIED when I met her. Also much fun since the Faeries decided I looked like Vidia but was much nicer so I had to be a flying talent fairy, but then Silvermist decided I was a water-talent, then Rosetta said since I had obviously painted my hair I must paint flowers so I was a gardening talent, then when I told Fawn how many pets I have I was an animal talent. Let's say I'm a multi-tasking talent fairy. But yes I sobbed.

This picture just makes me laugh! My DD was wearing her Tink tank top and needless to say, Capt Hook and Mr. Smee didn't like it! Here's Capt Hook handing Mr. Smee my DD's autograph book like it's worthless trash.
