Hello,
I just purchased my husbands ticket (kids & I have AP's) from the gay days website on 6/23 I but did not receive a confirmation number or email confirmation. I just checked my bank account and the funds havent cleared yet. Would it be safe to assume I did something wrong and didnt complete the order? For those of you that have already ordered, did you get a confirmation and have you been charged yet? If so, I will go back on-line & make the purchase again, but I would hate to do that if my original order did go through since the tickets are non-refundable. Any info would be great. Thaks.

I don't believe you will be charged until they ship the tickets in September. I have ordered these in the past and don't recall getting email confirmation right away.
I always print my confirmation page after the order has processed. You could call the # listed on the bottom of the website if you really need to know your order went through. But they might not have weekend hours.

Dangermouse,
Thanks for the info. I bought these a couple of years ago but couldnt remember if I received a confirmation or if I was charged right away. I did send them an email this morning to verify, but they do not have weekend hours. Hopefully I will hear back in a couple of days.
ZacharyBsmom,
I bought these a couple years ago and had no problems receiving the tickets and they worked just fine. I would go for it since it saves so much money. The only problem is that you have to sign for the delivery of the tickets. If I recall, I left an approval on the door for fed ex to leave the package since I wasnt able to be home to sign for them.

we are going later in october would it be acceptable for us to use these even though they are "convention tickets" or is that not allowed by disney?

anyone can use these, not just convention attendees. We have used them in the past with no problem. Just be aware that there are no EE privileges with the convention hoppers.

That may be the case if you stay off-site but if you stay on-site, all you need is your ticket and your room key to show you are a resort guest.

Actually I think they ask for your charge slip (or at least they're supposed to) since that has the dates of your stay printed on it.
Too many room keys floating around out there. ;)

Hmmm, I've never been to Disneyland before but here at WDW (I live in Florida) our room keys have our check-in and check-out date printed on them. Isn't that how Disneyland's are?

Nope
No info printed or stored on room keys.
Unlike on the cruise line, or at WDW, at DL you don't use your key for identification or charging priviledges, it opens your door, that's it.
Instead they give you a little slip of paper you have to keep track of for charging, early entry, etc.
And while they have been allowing EE for DL resort guests for quite awhile now, the last time I asked a CM about it... they said that since it is an unadvertised perk, not to count on it, because it could be discontinued at any time.
Go figure

Thanks for the info! I'll keep that in mind for my upcoming trip in 2 weeks. I think we'll be OK with EE, we have 4 day park hoppers AND are staying at the GC so I'm not sure what else they could want from us, lol!

are the gay days tickets upgradeable? For example, if we decide we want to add a day once we get there is that possible with those tickets?

That's a really good question. In my case, we are going to be there 4 days, 3 nights. The difference between the 4 day park hopper and the 3 day park hopper was less than $15 per person so I went ahead and bought the 4 park hopper. That way we can go into the parks in the evening the day we check-in, 2 full days, and 1/2 day on the last day when we check-out.

If anyone has already ordered tickets from this website in the past couple of weeks, can you please let me know if you received an email confirmation and if you have been charged the payment yet?
I placed my order on 6/23 and would have thought the money would have been pulled from my account by now. But it has not, which leads me to believe that maybe I didnt complete my order succesfully and stupid me didnt print the order confirmation page. I emailed the "contact us" from their website but have not received a response. I am thinking about ordering the tickets again but if my first order did go through I dont want to end up with extra tickets and be charged twice. Can you please let me know your experience?
Thanks,

Hi everyone,
I just wanted to give an update. I spoke with the company that sells these tickets and confirmed that they did have my order and that the charge would not be processed until about a week or so before the tickets are shipped. Just in case anyone else has ordered these, this may help set your mind at ease.
Thanks.

I was wondering if they will be upgradeable as well. My kids and I have annual passes but my husband didnt go on the last trip, so he didnt get one. I purchased a 4 day discounted gaydays convention ticket for him. I am wondering if the face value of that ticket will reflect the discounted ticket amount or if it will show the full amount of a normal 4 day hopper pass amount and if it will be upgradeable to an annual pass? Does anyone know?

It will show that it is a convention ticket and the price you paid. You can upgrade them, and pay the difference between the cost of the hopper and the AP you are purchasing.

Dangermouse,
Great and thanks for the info. I was hoping to be able to upgrade them. Paying the discounted amount now and then upgrading the difference in October, for whatever reason doesnt hurt as much on the budget even though overall I will be paying the full amount for an annual pass anyways. I guess just breaking it up over time doesnt pinch so much.
I see you are in AZ as well. I am in Gilbert and cant wait for this heat to end!!!

so what do you pay if you just want to add on a day? The price between a 3 & 4 day convention ticket or the price between a 3 day convention ticket and a regular 4 day ticket?

My DD had to buy a convention pass as part of a package deal when she went to DL with a group. Since she has an AP and didn't need it, I sold hers on e-bay.
(I know, I know - they can't be transferred - my bad) :guilty:
Anyway, I listed all the verbage from the back and I'm pretty sure it said it could not be exchanged for other admission media.
I'll defer to others in the know on that though since maybe in practice they do allow it. I don't see why they wouldn't. They can tell exactly what the original cost was and that's the value you would get to trade toward something more expensive.
I'm willing to bet that you would be required to pay the difference between what you paid and full gate price though.
So if you bought a discounted 3 day and then decided to upgrade to a full price 4 day... you just lost any savings at all.
