I will be staying at the wilderness lodge from 8/31 - 9/5.
I was told by disney that my cost is 160 a night for a standard room. I see on this web site that a Deluxe hotel is available for 140. I am a seasonal pass holder and florida resident. I told them to use code FDV like this web site says but the price still shows 160 in their system...I was told by a friend that it should be 140. what should I do please help

Thanks

Do you have more than 2 adults on the ressie? I believe Disney charges extra if you do.

If you are calling in, try the BUL code. Also, just keep trying every few days, people cancel and you might get lucky.

The folks quoting a 140$ rate are booking using the summer codes offered at the Disney website and also at Expedia.com.

Good luck!

I just went to disney.com and your dates come up 140 per night before tax. Total $787.50 with a deposit of $157.50

I am a Florida resident.
I am a Seasonal Passholder.
I want to stay at Disney 8/31 - 9/5.
The discount board says $140 Deluxe Resort.

I booked with Disney last night and they told me they do not have FW available for 140 a night so I booked for 160. ( after tax it was 180 and change for deposit)

Can someone please tell me what code to use or where to book to get this rate. I asked them to try codes FDV, BUK, and FDS. I am exhuasted and don't know what to do.

Other threads say they got FW for 140 but I can't get an answer on the proper way to do this. I am not a DIS board expert or a code expert..I'm still earning my ears and need help. Please can someone take the time and tell me step by step on how to get that 140 deluxe rate??

Thanks

I am guessing standard view is $140, and you either received woodsview or courtyard view for $160 because standard was no longer available for your dates.

Canadian guy can you provide a link to the summer codes?
I did get quoted from expedia for 140. I have never booked through them before. Seeing I have a reservation already with Disney would they honor the price quoted by expedia?
Should I book with expedia then cancel my old res at Disney?

Lisa, I'll beat you to the punch...I did go back and try putting in 2 adults and 1 child and the rate did come up 140. So they did charge extra for a third adult. Thanks for your help. One last question..When I checked with Expedia I got a 140 quote and I'm pretty sure I put in 3 adults when asked. If I booked through expedia and I got the 140 rate I should be able to cancel my other disney res now without any problems correct? Thanks for your help and cluttering the boards in different places.

Radosevich, FW is Fort Wildernes Cabins......WL is Wilderness Lodge hotel where I believe the $140 room was. They are next to each other but very different places. Usually the FW cabins are more as they can sleep 5 or more, I believe.

What type room did they say you were booking? Standard, Woodsview or courtyard? That probably is where the difference is coming in at. Standard views for discounts usually go quick, so chances are they is no availability in that category. You can call back and ask them what you booked if you don't know.

I checked on there website and there is availability for standard view with code BUL (which may be online code) for $790 for your dates. I would call back and ask if you are not happy with you have. You can always cancel and book online.

OK, I replied to your other post on the budget board. You can get WILDERNESS LODGE for $135 night (pre tax) with your seasonal pass discount for you dates (it is currently available). This is for a STANDARD room. You will need to login to the DisneyWorld.com website under passholders to book this rate, OR call up Disney again and make sure you tell them you are a passholder and want a standard room at Wilderness Lodge for your dates. Total $759.40.

If you are wanting the Cabins at Fort Wilderness, this would be a different rate.

You probably got the woods view. Only the standard view is for $140.00 and there is very little available at that rate because the inventory is very low. $160.00 is a great rate for a woods view room. It will be very nice. You actually are lucky to get woods view also. Often Courtyard view( most expensive) is only available and many times nothing is available with AP rate at WL because it is a somewhat smaller resort..

So this special price at WL is because you are an AP holder OR because you are a Fla resident? I am a Fla resident - not a passholder - and never saw this one.

Actually, its available to the general public, under the SUMMER Discount pricing.. (Room Only 7/29 - 9/29)

You can check dates/availability on the WDW site... but GENERALLY, I'm seeing this rate available at WL starting around 8/29... I tried many dates/combos in august before then, and no availability (excepct Club Level at $410/nt)..

You've just got to give it a spin and see what falls out!
