Yes. Spending 8/26 to 8/31 at ASSports. It was a quick decision(we usually plan our trips months/a year in advance!). But couldn't pass up the free dining plan. Didn't even tell my 2 boys until all arrangements were made. So we are getting very excited! Last went to WDW in April of '05.

I'm definitely the most excited about the trip and I do all of the planning. I have to go to these boards and check out the postings so that I don't talk my DH's ear off about Disney!! The kids are excited, but they don't seem to interested in all of the planning. They just figure it will be lots of fun when we get there!

I hope the frozen coke machine is fixed by the time we get there! That's one of the things I told my DS 15 about--he loves Slurpees and is looking forward to a week's worth of frozen cokes in his refillable mug!!!

We were there at that time last year and actually had decent weather-grey and cloudy and cool! I got the magical email that at first I thought was a marketing scam...or at the least I would have to use one of our days to sit in a meeting for DVC BUT when I called and at the same time was on this board more people were writing in saying they got the same email and it wasn't a marketing ploy I got excited and we were able to get a 1 bedroom villa. I guess what happened was they sold out of all the rooms for free dining at POP (I am not sure of the other values) and upgrade a group of reservations (if you wanted) to either SSR or OKW and that in turn opened up our old rooms for more $$$ for Disney. I have never been upgraded and I didn't ask for it, it just happened! I can't wait to see OKW, the kids aren't that excited because they like the big icons at POP but we would never be able to afford OKW (our trip cost me $1100 and would have cost $5000 to stay at OKW with dining) so we took it and know that we can always come back and stay at POP. 33 more days but whose counting!!!!

Well i did not get the email but i called and the code was attached to my name. I still see a few people say they were still able to get the upgrade. Maybe some one else canceled and they got the room at OKW or SSR (studios or 1br) It never hurts to make a phone call. My group made many calls to find the right person at CRO who had the answers and one person with the code could upgrade up to three rooms.
