Last minute trip, oh my goodness!!!

DH and I were trying to figure out when to take a family vacation, and we pondered and pondered . . . and oh my goodness we're going to Disney in about 3 weeks! We'll be flying into MCO on 7/23.

I already had an August trip planned for DS and myself, so my head's totally spinning. I just booked everything in the last 90 minutes, which is totally unlike me. Strangely enough I got a good web fare from Air Tran, found a decent car rental, etc. And we had a time share swap option that was too good to pass up.

My head's spinning, I'm so happy, I'm so confused . . . eeeeeeeeek!!!

This was my first spur of the moment trip also.....my DH says why don't we go somewhere alone ..... with out kids?? really?? I should mention....we've never been with out the kids anywhere....anytime!! My kids are 12 and 8!!
He said book us a trip and I wasn't going to argue!! We go from Aug 11-16 and our 14 yr anniv is the 14th!! I'm so excited but so trying not to act it in front of the kids....they're a bit ticked that we aren't going to take them this time!! They dont know that we have a surprise trip planned after Xmas for them...they won't know till they open Xmas presents!!:goodvibes

My head's still spinning . . . there are a lot of stressful things going on actually and I'm completely stunned that we decided to book this trip. But I'm not complaining! Time to dance the last-minute-planned trip dance!

We'll get there on the 24th, but our trip is not so spur of the moment. It's been in the making for over a year. No better way to relieve the stresses of work and worries than to spend some time in the place that lets you leave all that at the door for a while! I hope you have a great time. We're hoping to send back live pictures and stories each evening for our trip report (see link below), if we're not too exhausted. So, if you have your Dis tag on something and we see you, throw out a hello and you can be in our pictures!

I've only done one trip spur of the moment, but planned or unplanned - a trip to Disney World is exciting! Happy planning...we'll see you in the crowds!
