I just made a ressie for Teppanyaki for December and was told that they are planning on getting a slight name change. Once renovations are done, they will reopen as Teppanedo. I don't know why the name change, except that maybe they will now be run by someone else. The CM just wanted me to know that it will have a different name when we arrive, and I wanted to pass this new bit of news along for anyone who wanted to know.

Has anyone else been told about this?

Maybe because there many Teppenyaki restaurants already out there. Not as original as it once was.

I was told that too today when I was making my ADRs.

Same here.

At first, the CM, said he couldn't book it as the new name was not in the systems. After asking him few questions he did manage to find the new name and got the ADR booked.

Any Japanese language speakers here who know why they might change the name from Teppenyaki to Teppanedo? Just wondering.

I thought the same thing when I first heard about the name change! :rotfl2:

I am not even sure if Teppanyaki means something, but it would so interesting to find out if the names mean something in Japanese. Anyone know?
