Hey Michelle:

How did you convince the old guy to go? Out of hunting season right?

How have you been?

Hope you have fun. Won't there be a lot of spring breakers down there at that time.

Talk to you soon.

Ed, long time no hear. Things here are good. Yes, we are doing our annual March trip. We are hoping for better weather than last March. We will also be taking another trip in September or October. That will be a "play" trip. We plan on doing just water parks and pool hopping. Getting ready for DDs graduation? Where is she going to college at? What will you and DW do with all that free time and an empty house? Maybe more trips to the World??? Glad to hear you are doing well. Take care.

We will be at OKW for four nights beginning 3/18 in a 1 BR. I agree with you on the weather. We were there same time last year and the weather was rainy and cold.

:) We are headed home to OKW March 6-13. Ah to be "home again". My very first trip to WDW was in March a very long time ago (1980). On our first day at MK (the only park back then) it was 26 degrees out! I wore several layers of clothes intending to peal the layers as it got warmer. (It never got above 40 and I kept my coat on.) I had fun watching all those other northerners who had left warm coats etc. at home and were scurrying to buy sweatshirts! The Cinderella fountain at the castle had icicles haging down, Space Mountain was down because of power problems. Many area schools were closed because they had power outages. The orange groves were in crisis mode with smudge pots and sprayers going full blast. It was a unique experience. Since then I have had 80 degree weather in February, March and December and 40 degree weather anytime. I always bring layers and a bit of everything from shorts to sweats and raingear. That way no matter what the weather I can enjoy. :smooth:

My family and I will be heading home for the first time at Easter 2002. We will be staying at OKW from 3-22 through 3-30. We are looking forward to visiting WDW as a DVC member for the first time. To add to the fun our best friend's family will be joining us for their first trip to WDW. It is the topic of discusson when ever we are all togther. The months have just flown by.

We are planning on only spending a few nights together but what a time we are going to have. One night at "La Nouba" and for the girl's birthday we have booked a birthday fireworks cruise for "Illuminations" I'm not sure who is going to be more excited about the cruise, none of us have experienced "Illuminations" before.

We are looking forward to meeting some of our DVC brothers and sisters while on vacation.

53 more days........... So what if it snows here in PA

jjcollins,
The Atlanta Braves play their [home]spring training games at Disney's Wide World of Sports. You can get advanced tkts. thru Ticketmaster, but I bet you can just walk up and get tkts. at the gate for the less "popular" teams. We haven't seen the Braves yet, but we do love spring training games in FL in March. Last yr., we drove from WDW to Tampa to see the Yankees at Legends Field. When we were at VB, we saw the Dodgers vs. NY Mets at Dodgertown, a genuine spring training ballpark. I've been reading a little about Wide World of Sports. It is a state-of-the-art field w/ an amazing drainage system, so games rarely get rained out. I also read that they have a "Peanuts & Crackerjacks" stand. My whole family is looking forward to the game.

jjcollins,
I got my tkts. at approx 10:10 AM on the day spring training tkts. went on sale, in early Jan. I learned my lesson last yr. We only drove to Tampa to see the Yankees because we were totally frozen out from Braves vs. Yankees in WDW. Last yr., I called Ticketmaster (or Ticketmonster, as we prefer) in the early afternoon of the day the tkts. went on sale and even the LawnSeats were sold out.
I've never perfected the lime green ribbon thing, but maybe I'll give it a try! SGG
