...what did you order?
I just thought it would be kind of a fun thread. We actually got a package in the mail with a code, so I figured we might as well.
We got:
Hercules,
Aladdin,
Atlantis,
Who Framed Roger Rabbit,
A Wrinkle in Time
How about you?

Well, we've been looking to add some older ones to our collection, so I caved and joined.
Ordered Stitch The Movie, Dumbo, Bedknobs and Broomsticks, Pete's Dragon and The Parent Trap Original.
Anxiously awaiting them, and we'll see what happens over the next 2 years. I hope it's worthwhile!

I just opened up to "join" page and can't seem to get in. Do you need a code to join? Where can I find a code?

If you go to the home page and select #2 (don't have a code, they'll create it) you should be able to choose your movies and follow the rest of the process.

I tried that. I keep getting an invalid code message. There doesn't seem to be anything else to try. Am I missing something?
Here's the message - although I hit "Start Now" under #2 this shows up under #1
The promotion code you are using does not exist. Please check your typing and try again. If you continue to have problems, please call us (800) 362-4587 since some promotion codes are not available on our website.

Are you using Firefox, Safari or Internet Explorer? It works for Firefox, but not Safari. IE may have the same problem as Safari.

That explains it - I'm on Safari. If I discover a way around this or if anyone has any options please post!
Thanks!!

Firefox is free to download and install, and is available for the Mac. Or you could try the 1-800 number.

I'm in!!
I ordered The Muppet Movie, The Great Muppet Caper, Sword in the Stone, Holes and Robin Hood.
Can't wait to get them - we have a few road trips coming up so they'll be great for the kids (and me too!)

You driving to WDW in August? That's our plan.
Muppets fan, huh? I almost got Muppet Treasure Island instead of Wrinkle in Time, but TWGH likes A Wrinkle in Time better.

We're still thinking about it because we already have so many of the movies. One strange thing. We received two offers to join. One that include three movies in the initial offer and the that had four. The interesting thing is that the four movie came to me while the three movie deal came to the family. The latter is how DVC mailings always come. I'm a little hurt that Disney figure that since I own DVC I should get an inferior offer.

Nevermind, apparently I can't read.
We only got the 3 movie offer.

I really liked the idea of this but thought the prices for the 'regular' movies we would have to buy seemed really steep. Being the frugal, WDW crazy folks I know you are, how did you do the math, or did it even matter?

Once you factor in the 5 movies @ $42, another 3 at $30 still gives you 8 movies for $132 - less than $17 each, and you don't have to spend gas money or transit fare to get to the store to buy them.

When I joined my offer was 3 movies for $19.00, one for $9.95, one for $14.95 (this one counted towards membership requirements) and free shipping.
I ordered
The Princess Diaries Special Edition
Toy Story 10th Anniversary
Pirates of the Caribbean Dead Man's Chest
Pirates of the Caribbean Curse of the Black Pearl
Cars
Total $32.72
At the beginning of July I used the Canada code which is good for 15% off and free shipping.
Muppet Christmas Carol
The Santa Clause
Princess Diaries 2
Total $62.94
So the total is $95.66
I have 8 movies, therefore the average price is $11.96 per movie. Which is not bad at all.
At $24.95 per movie it's expensive. But only 5 have to be at that price. So if you take advantage of special offers, free shipping etc and then average the price of each DVD it's a good deal.
