Hello all!
Our trip is mostly planned but I do have a couple of questions.
First question
Regarding places to eat. I've already booked us at Goofy's Kitchen for a character breakfast, Ariel's Grotto for the Princess Lunch, and Blue Bayou for lunch. Anything else we should hit in the parks food-wise? Anything else that needs a PS? We have 4 day Park Hoppers this year. It will be me, my so, and my girls, 11 and 7.
Second question
Our trip is the week after my DD turns 11......any thoughts on something special to do for her?
Thanks for your help!

For the birthday, book time at the birthday party at DL. They charge $10 pp and each person gets their own cake, frosting, sprinkles to decorate and a glass of fruit punch. I think it lasts about 40 minutes and Mickey and Minnie show up at the end of the party for photos.
You can also get your DD a birthday button that she can wear around the parks. If you are staying at a DL hotel, they should have them there otherwise ask at City Hall on Mainstreet.
For my next trip in October, I want to try Wine Country Tratottoria (sp?) in CA. The reviews here have sounded great.
We went to Ariel's for my DD's 1st birthday and we thought it was great! I loved being waited on after spending all day on my feet! I had the salad and pasta and they were both really good.

Thank You, do I need to make a PS for the Birthday Party? Any other input from any other DISers?

Yes, make PS for the birthday party. They may take a few walk ups but not 100% sure that. I believe the party is only offered once each day sometime in the early afternoon.

Wanted to add that when we went to the b-day party the seating was assigned so no point in showing up early "to get a good seat".
They did seat us right infront/under a VERY loud speaker and so we asked to move to a less noisy area.

Mickey and Minnie show up at the end of the party and then they start a dance line so anyone that wants to participate can. Everyone danced around the restaurant and then they had everyone line up for photos with Mickey & Minnie with a photographer.
I posted pictures of the cake on the food photo thread back in November so look around Nov 06 and you will see what the cakes look like.

We have similiar PS for our upcoming trip. One other thing that I added was a PS to Wine country Trattoria at 8pm and requested outside viewing. It is a nice way to see the Electrical parade in DCA.
FYI - Cafe Orleans and Blue Bayou have very similiar menus.

I already book BB, I'm looking forward to that. And last night we checked the menu for Cafe Orleans and we decided it was too close to the BB menu. Thanks JustLikeTink, I think I'll do the Trattatoria for outside viewing too! That sounds GREAT!
And yes, I heard the Bengal BBQ was closing in August, we will be there in July so we will be able to grab some of the skewers! YAY!

Just have to second the recommendations for Wine Country Trattoria, the food is wonderful, and it's not very expensive. If you're a wine fan, the wine tasting on the patio is a lot of fun, and last time I was there they were *very* generous :-D
