Meant to post sooner and forgot.
We rented up National car (EA) on 01/05/02 and dropped it off at the Car Care Center outside of MK on 01/07/02. We only wanted a car for a few days of our trip.
Didn't have any problems at all. We just picked the first car in our aisle and it happened to be a Mitsubishi (sp) with less than 4,000 miles.
It was clean, smelled and drove like a new car.
And we thought it was VERY handy dropping it off by the MK. The line was long when we went to drop it off and we stopped and asked someone if we had to wait in line to just turn in the key.
A very nice employee said no, showed us where to drop off the keys and asked if we needed a ride to a park. We said YES :bounce: and he promptly wisked us away to MGM. :D
Great service. Our price wasn't so hot. But we paid for the convenience.

Thanks for the info! Renting from them for the first time Thanksgiving week. We actually got a great deal for 8 days $185 (total) for a full-size using DC and Entertainment coupon.

First time using EC, so I'm excited! Did you notice what type of full-sized vehicles they have?

Sorry I didn't. But I am one of those women that do not know one car from another unless one is a Volkswagon and the other is a Hummer! ;) So it has to be PRETTY OBVIOUS for me to know what it is. :)

Thanks for the info. Do you remember about how many cars were in the Aisle? What made you pick the Mitsubishi?

Read a mini-trip report where they were allowed to pick any car....so they picked a Buick Rendezvous SUV. I'm new at this car rental stuff (we are EC members). How often are you allowed to just pick any car you want?

With EA (Emerald Aisle) you just cross the street and go to the area of the type of car you rented. (Intermediate, etc) You pick whichever one you want that is in the area you chose.
The Mitsubishi was literally the first car we walked up to. It was the nearest and we wanted to dump our luggage! ;) But it was a nice car. It drove real smooth.
The aisle was VERY long. But even then it was about half empty. But there was still a lot of selection.
The only complaint (and it was minor) was that every car rental (National included) always provide a local map. They didn't and DH forgot to ask for one. I had Yahoo maps I had printed prior to leaving and they were of no help.:p
So my only suggestion, if you haven't driven the area, like us, make sure you get a MAP!

Thanks I'll make sure we ask for a map since we are CLUELESS!
