VDI=Villas at Disney Institute
I hope they reopen Seasons too. It was an excellent restaurant!

:rolleyes: Oooh somehow that acronymn doesn't appeal....neither does DIV. :rolleyes:
I hope they come up with a new name for this resort. The whole "institute" thing always seemed odd. I always remember when they were building it and the boat captain from OKW pointed it out and said, "That's where we are all going to be institutionalized." :rolleyes: :rolleyes:

Since, as far as the average vacationer is concerned the institute is defunct, they could go back to the old WDW village name, and call them the Villas at the Village. Somehow Marketplace Villas sounds like some telemarketing company, and Institute Villas sounds like a medical campus. Golf Villas would be confused with Eagle Pines....Maybe Lake Buena Vista Villas, since they'll near LBV golf course.
Oops, sorry, Rich to get off topic :) Where exactly was Seasons located on the property? There is a currently unused dock where a boat from OKW could drop off passengers on the way to/from DTD...is that near where Seasons was? I 'd read several glowing reviews of the restaurant.

I was thinking the same thing when I first read about it, I hope they come up with a new name. Since it will not be connected to an existing resort, I don't think they need to include "villas" in the name to separate it.

How about VDD ( Villas at Downtown Disney ) or does that sound too much like a STD?:D

Based on many comments I've heard here, I think maybe the name should be
Disney Institute Villas = DIV(e)

So is Eagle Pines gone for now??
VDI just does not seem appealing. Watch it end up being my favorite

I talked to my DVC rep about adding onto to my VWL add-on ;) , and I was told that the DI project has nothing to do with Eagle Pines. EP is still a go, and slated for 2004 opening.
