Ssr 12/21-23

We are thinking of buying into DVC and I was wondering if anyone knows off hand how hard it would be to get a reservation at OKW or SSR for Dec 21 - 23 (checking out the AM of the 24th) for a studio?

You're almost 6 months out now, so I would guess that while you may find yourself wait/listed, it's more likely than not that the W/L would come through for a studio at SSR for your dates...but of course there are no guarantees, and as I understand it, Christmas week is the single busiest time of all at WDW (or maybe it's the week between Christmas & New Year's?)...I know we got Thanksgiving, after about a month of W/L'ing, at an SSR studio last year, when we bought at 5 months out...

However, I've read about a number of folks telling their guides that they'd like to buy in, and would do so "now" if they could be assured of a specific reservation...you might want to try that (if you're willing to buy "now," of course) w/your guide...just tell him/her that if you knew you could get an SSR studio 12/21-12/23, you'd put your deposit down right now...if not, well, you still need to keep thinking for a bit longer...

I've read that guides can sometimes make these kinds of "accommodations" happen...not sure it's true, but all it would cost is a phone call to find out...
