stopped raining for about, oh, five minutes? really miserable and cold too, fed up to the back teeth with it.

have friends over from Oz and its rained constantly since they got here, reminds them why they emigrated in the first place. :sad2:

It has stopped raining here, but during the night and earlier this morning was awful.
Both of my boys schools have closed due to flooding :eek: .
Really hope it doesn't start raining again, just hoping DH can come home early today as he said going to work this morning was really bad.

Rain here too - but not as strong as it was an hour ago.

I think this bad weather may be my fault as we decided that last summer we didn't sleep very well due to the heat so this spring we bought an air conditioning unit and haven't had any prolonged nice weather since.

I hope it gets better soon though as we have a wide game evening with the Brownies tonight.

We have heavy rain again :umbrella: . The school my oldest son goes to is closed tomorrow as well - due to flooding. Youngest sons school think they might be open, although that will depend on how much rain we get before tomorrow morning.

Don't worry Nat we had sports day last Thursday and it was forecast rain and it didn't :banana: actually we all got burnt :confused3 Also I've got my first golf comp tomorrow and I don't want to get wet so it won't rain :thumbsup2

Well, we've had no electricity since 3pm yesterday and still nothing now :confused3

DD's school is shut, no landline and I'm at my parent's, with Eve, the other side of Sheffield, re-charging mobiles, dvd players etc and wondering if I've got enough candles....;)

Rumour has it we may not get power back for another couple of days..:scared1:

Thinking of leaving DD here tonight but got to get back for DH who wouldn't leave the dog.....or, maybe, something to do with the pub being up the road...........;)
