Fast food on ships...does it compare to WDW fast food in terms of quality?

I, for the most part, think the quality of fast food at WDW is good. One exception is the pizza from Toy Story Pizza Planet. It absolutely has to be frozen and most likely a rising crust type that you can buy at the supermarket. Hot dogs at Magic Kingdom are very good and french fries remind me of what you would buy at a Dairy Queen (pretty good, but not McDonalds). My question is would fast food be comparable to say Cosmic Rays at Magic Kingdom or is it not as good. Is the pizza made fresh?

I can't compare it to what you have...but I can give some opinions. I think it is fantastic that they have burgers/dogs/pizza available all afternoon....when my ds 2 was hungry, he could eat. No having to wait until dinnertime. The burgers are big. The fries are good. My dd 10 got pizza during the day once, but raved how good the pizza was at the evening meal. I think she ordered pizza for dinner in the restaurants 5 out of 7 nights!:rolleyes:

The pizza is made in small batches as needed. I've had to wait while they made a new one, especially at night.

I liked the veggie burgers and the hot dogs but wasn't very impressed with the french fries. I also liked the bratwurst.

I didn't try the hamburger or cheeseburger.

We tried the pizza one evening at Beat Street and it was good, but that was within 15 minutes of when they started serving it. It was kept in a warming oven and they were only serving between 11pm and midnight, so I would expect it would have been good all along.

We don't eat a lot of the fast food on board, but the pizza is quite good, and I love the fries! They are thick, steak fry-type fries, and I love to dip them in the honey mustard sauce. A real taste treat!

Just got home yesterday and we thought the pizza, burgers and fries were very good! We miss our midnight Pizza run!

We like the brats and the fries. The fries taste like Red Robin's. (if you have that chain) We felt the pizza tastes like frozen. Wouldn't do that one again.
