I know this question has been asked a million times, but for the life of me, I can't find the answer. What is the difference between a standard and value villa at AKV? Will the standard villas (for the sake of argument, studios) be the same size as savannah view studios?

It's been said that the value rooms are smaller...that's the reason for the lower point cost. The Value may actually have parking lot, pool or savannah view. So, from what has been said, I think it's safe to imply that the standard are the same size as the savannah.

Here's a thread that I've bookmarked that I find very helpful.

I just got back from Disney and we asked that question on the tour of the mock AKL villas. The difference is in a value room there will be no pull out chair........the 5th person bed. So if you are a family of 5 you can not stay in the value room....because they offer a room that can accommodate 5.

The point chart only says up to 4 for the studios...is that true only of the one bedrooms?

The point chart only says up to 4 for the studios...is that true only of the one bedrooms?Value studios sleep 4, Value 1BRs sleep 4 and Value 2BRs sleep 8. The Standard View, Savanna View and Concierge villas at AKV sleep 4/5/9. So a family of 5 needs a Standard, Savanna or Concierge 1BR or a Value 2BR.

One must realize that in one case the room is being defined by it's view and in the other case, the name is describing the unit itself independent of view. The value units are simply smaller and/or odd shaped and can be ANY view. Standard vs Savannah should be pretty similar and consistent in terms of size and set up. It's the unit size that dictates the sleeping capacity of 4 vs 5.
