My absolute favorite thing is a Dole Whip float. SO GOOD!!!

The Mainstreet Bakery has ice cream cookie sandwiches and they are HUGE!! You pick out what cookies you want and they put three scoops of ice cream on them.

We usually use our snacks for breakfast, so I haven't had a lot of snack food.

:upsidedow That's what I hear about the Dole whips. You can only get them at MK, right? What is best at the other parks?

My DS9 would say "Itzakadoozie".
This is a rainbow striped BIG popsicle.
You can find them at ice cream carts & some resort food courts.

Yes, these are excellent and not over-the-top sweet, although they may sound that way. We got one last year and really loved it.

We found the best bang for your buck on snacks was at the Resort Gift shoppes....for one snack credit, you can get an 8 pack of entiemens (?sp) doughnuts or a BIG (regular store size) of Potato Chips...etc...pretty much any snack $4 or under....that way we had snacks that lasted longer than 2 seconds ;)

My vote goes to Norway's school bread. It's so delicious and big enough to share.

The breadsticks at AK's Pizzafari are good also.

I like the cinnamon pecan at Epcot but we couldn't find them last trip so I'm not sure they're still there.

I think I would buy chips and things like store brand boxes of donuts at the grocery store at home where it is cheaper and take them with me to have in the room if they are needed and save my snack credits for the yummy stuff you can only get at Disney. The pasteries and dole whips etc. just sound too good to pass up, but that's just my thinking.

Don't forget World Showcase in Epcot, some example of what we got were:
Cheesecake in Norway
Candy Bar in England (note these are candy bars that are not generally available in the U.S.)
Candy bar in Germany
A German chocolate bar (I think that's what it was called in Germany)

Also don't forget Goofy's Candy Co. in Downtown Disney will custom dipped treats that are on the dining plan (all except the apples).

We had a hot day at MGM last March, and while waiting for the Power Rangers to appear, we shared a banana and a blue raspberry cooler (slush) from Herbie's drive in (?) snack cart.

They were really good and just what we needed right then! They would have been $3.29 each had we "paid" for them.

MGM - Waffle cone at Gerties, Slushies (they have them in a lot of places), Smoothies from KNNR. We thought the big pretzels were too dry.

MK-Made to order Ice cream sandwiches from MK Bakery, Raspberry Lemonade Slush in Fantasyland, Fruit Smoothies from Auntie Gravaties, Rootbeer floats (from a few places-anywhere they have soft serve). Cheesecake from the Bakery... it depends on what you feel like... also baked sweet potatoes from Liberty Square (maybe only in the winter?) are good.

AK- Haven't found anything great. Tamu Tamu has the floats and smoothies but we are never near it when we are looking for a snack.

Epcot- gosh. Great snacks every where you look. Lots more at Sunshine Seasons then listed on the confirmed snack list. The bakery in France and the one in Norway are both good. Germany. Oh heck. I could live off Epcot snacks for a week.

Ice Cream sandwiches from Sleepy Hollow in Magic Kingdom. Under the dining plan. It is made with two big, fresh, hot choc. chip cookies and a large scoop of vanilla ice cream. The cookies start to melt the ice cream because they are still warm. SOOOOOOO good. We could not believe it was only one snack credit! It is a steal!!!!!!!

hey guys,

Man I can't wait to get there to try some of these snacks. This is our first time with DDP and want to try all kinds of new and more expensive things we wouldn't on our usual budget. The good thing is that my kids will try most things at least once. So we will get something and share or split and try other new things too. SO excited!:cheer2: :yay: :dance3: :thumbsup2

Another vote for the Ice Cream Cookie Sandwich at Sleepy Hollow - a fantastic treat. In 11/06, a family snack-attack occurred in Liberty Square near Sleepy Hollow and we partook for the first time. More consumption is planned for mid-September.

We have scheduled time for this treat when we go in October. It cannot be missed.

Oh, it and cannot be consumed on the run. Must sit down at the lovely tables over looking the castle to fully enjoy the sandwich. My hubby tried eating it on the go last December and it did not work out very well due to the melting factor.

We usually use snack creds for breafast so we could save the CS for lunch or a late dinner. CBR and AKL has individual cereal bowls and milk that count as only one credit. Other places also have bagels, croissants, danishes, yogurt and you can even get a 6 pack of thomas's english muffins or bagels at the Boardwalk for one cred.

You can also get 2 liters of Coke or other soft drinks, or a half gallon of milk at resort gift shops for 1 credit. The soft drinks were great to have in the room when we wanted a drink after getting back from the park but didn't want to walk back to the food court. And we'd send DH out for milk and donuts in the morning. Fed all three of us breakfast for 2 credits.
