Is there anything we can do if we decide to go back this year, I'm dreaming we can retrospectively upgrade them to annual passes....

I have a funny feeling you have to do it before you actually use them. I'm not sure about the Ultimate one, I think it has to be a US bought one. I'm sure someone else will be able to confirm.

If they have been used, they do expire, eg the 14 day one expires 14 days from first use, 21 day one expires 21 days after first use.

We have to have these every year even though we always go in November as we cannot guarantee DH getting a certain date in November off work, so annual passes would not work for us as it would run out half way through the trip! MYW tickets would not work for us either.

I've been asking the same question.
We went in April with Ultimates and we are goign back in Decemeber and I wanted to up grade to AP's.
But I've read and read and searched you have to upgrade from magic your way passes bought in the US.

Maybe no help but we buy 10 day non expiry tickets that way we usually have enough days to do 2-3 trips....
