I'm so hyper this morning! I went to bed at 8:42 last night in hopes the morning would get here sooner. :rotfl:
Yay Echo for getting a pediucre AND money back! lol That's awesome!
Linda-I'm so excited for you and your family. And I feel extremely priviledged to be sharing the Illumination's cruise with you and Echo's family as well. Do you guys realize you'll all be a part of possibly the BEST vacation Joe and I will ever have? lol
Here's my countdown:
1 DAY! 18 HOURS! 16 MINUTES! 34 SECONDS!!!!!!!
Linda-I know you guys are arriving before us, but how will I know if I see you around the resort? Are you going to be doing a door sign? I bet we'll bump into eachother a million times and not even know it. :)
Have a wonderful day, ladies!

I think I will be printing a door sign today. Most likely I will be in one of the Calypso Inn buildings but I could be in the Jazz Inn. Which building did you say you were in?
I am happy to be meeting you and Echo too. I'm sure you and I will be bumping into each other a million times too.
I can't believe that we are leaving for Disney tomorrow night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

What are everyone's last minute plans?
Skippy, which resort are you staying at again? I wanna say All Star Movies, but that might be wrong. If you *are* at ASMo, just know Linda and I will be over at Music if you need us! :)
Linda-We'll *hopefully* be in the Broadway building on the 1st floor. I'm going to make our sign tonight.

We're at the beach club. What do you guys typically do your first night? We usually have dinner somewhere on the boardwalk. So if you guys see a lady pushing a pink maclaren stroller on the 29th that might just be me. :)

Well we're arriving on the 29th too as you know. Our first night tradition is to always go to the ESPN Club and spend time at Jellyroll's and Atlantic dance. If I see a pink stroller, I'll yell! :)

Our countdown continues. My sister and her family (DH and 5 kids) are there now and have called to check in a few times. Tough life -- I'll remember to call her everyday in January when we are there. :)

So in the midst of my post Disney sorrows, I'm going to create a little poll about our last visit. Fill it out as you'd like!
Best Restaurant/Meal: Hands down, Kona!!! What a steal for just one table credit!
Favorite overall park: Our favorite is still MGM, but Magic Kingdom squeaked ahead only because of MNSSHP!
Favorite character interaction: We have many, but during the MNSSHP, we were in a picture line to see Captain Hook. As we were leaving after getting our pictures taken with him, he sneezed! It was a very manly sneeze but it would have been funny if it was dainty!
Favorite show: Fantasmic always amazes me
Worst Meal: Unfortunately, I'm going to say Yachtsman. The food wasn't nearly as good as I had thought it would be and it was a three hour experience. Much too long for us! We like to be in and out in about an hour! lol
Most cherished memory from trip: We have a lot of great memories, but the coral reef diver was very very special.
I've got tons of pictures so as soon as I get them loaded, I'll start to post them.
Can't wait to read your answers!!! Feel free to post new questions.
Marla-your boys are too cute!! I feel bad I didn't even get their name. They were cute though.
Linda-Your husband is super sweet. I loved his personality-so outgoing! I felt like I had known you all for years! :)

Ok Sandy, I will do a best of:
Our most magical moment. On Oct 1 we were at Epcot at rope drop, this was the 25th anniversary day. We had ressies for Garden Grill at 11am. We arrived about 15 min early and waited. The CM took us to our table and told us that we were Honorary Family of the Day for Garden Grill. The chef can out to meet us and he gave us a free appetizer and drinks with gloing ice cubes:cool1: Then our server told us that all of the charactors would come to meet us now and they would come back individually later on during the meal. :goodvibes This was so much fun, my dh told Mickey that I had a thing for him.:lmao: yeah I do.:rotfl2: My ds 9yr said this was the best day ever. At the end of the meal we were given a fast pass for 1 ride. The parks where slow so we really didn't need it. Getting there at robe drop we had ridden soarin, test track, and mission space and had FP for later by 11am.:cool1:
Our favorite meals in order are:
Garden Grill
Cape May
Hollywood and Vine
Whispering canyon
This is by food taste and quaity only. The atmosphere was good at all of them and we enjoyed WC and service was great.

Best restaurant meal: Whispering Canyon and Ohana's
Favorite Park: Magic Kingdom and the MNSSHP was the absolute BEST!!
Favorite Character Interaction: Hmmm....this is a toughy! Jasmine's favorite character is Pluto and she did get a kiss from Prince Charming at the 1900 Park Fare. All my girls thought he was hot :thumbsup2 Tiffany liked Donald Duck. Melissa liked Piglet. Steve's favorite was Buzz Lightyear. I think my mom liked Goofy best. I did get nose kisses and a kiss on the lips from Pooh
Favorite Show: The MNNSHP parade!!!
Worst Meal: I'd have to say the Hoop Dee Doo our last night there meal. I was not impressed with the food and wished I had just spent more time in MK instead.
Most Cherished Memory: I'd have to say suprising my whole family the at the Coral Reef with personalized menus and then surprising them for a second time when the diver held up the banner for our table.
How about a New One.... Favorite Ride : Haunted Mansion and Soarin
Sandi, Are you starting to edit your photo cd. I spent hours editing them. I ended up with 571 pictures and now have 907 with the edits. I can't wait to order it and get it. Then I want to print out some of the best ones. There are a lot of good ones. Steve took pics too but I haven't looked at all those yet.
Marla it was nice to meet you and your family. I think it would of been a fun cruise and there never another drop of lightening during the rest of the time after they canceled it. We ended up watching it in the world showcase.
Sandi, I'm glad my husband made you feel at ease. He does have a great personality. I am already trying to plan another trip. I'd like to go about the same time again but I don't think the school would let me do it again next time. Especially since the teachers have to take their vacations during school vacations. We'll see what happens but I loved the whole Halloween atmosphere and smaller crowds. My oldest daughter graduates in June of 2009 though and I'd like to do another trip before she goes off to college.
Not sure what I had but I was the only one that got sick and now I feel better. Glad it happened after I got home from the plane though and Disney. It would of rotted being sick there or on the plane. By the way, I enjoyed the plane ride!
Keep in touch,
Linda

I see you are going back next Sept. Sandy. Did you do the bounce back program? I didn't know about it and had to leave the resort early the last day there so I never stopped at the check out counter.
Marla, are you going back next year? I want to go back sometime in 2008 or 2009 before my oldest daughter graduates. I would prefer Oct. again but don't know if that will be a possibility.

I want to go back next year real badly. It's probably looking like it may be in mid August though if we do go. I will miss the MNSSHP for sure! I can't believe it's already been a month since we first arrived.

P.S. I did not hear anything about the bounceback program while we were there and wish I had!!!!!!!!!!!

Look at your ticker!!! So sad :sad2:
We talk about our trip constantly too. We got our photopass CD and "only" ended up with 280. :) They are so much fun to look at.
Where do you think you'll stay next year, Linda? We'll probably either do All Star Sports or Port Orleans French Quarter.
Did your girls have as fabulous a time as you did? Everyone's family was so sweet.
Take care guys!! And don't be strangers :)

Hey Sandy, all is well. The holiday was great. I'm occupied with my cruise for March right now. It's really close to the 99day mark. They really are not chatting that much over on CC. Wishing you all the best. :wizard:

Hi Guys!
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving and I can't believe how quickly Christmas is approaching. I still talk about Disney constantly and I was happy to get replies to this thread in my email box today.
Did either of you develop any of your photos from the Photopass Cd? I ended up printing 350 4x6's that are in a photo album and I just printed 10 8x10's today that I am giving out for Christmas presents. I printed out the group shot of all of us too. I have to say that the guy who took the picture did a terrible job though it was pretty blurry. Was either of your photo any better? LOL.
I have priced out going away for 7-8 days either next Thanksgiving week or during Christmas vacation. The only thing is that I know the crowds are heavier then and I'm sure the flights would be pricey. It may be a possibility though. I've mentioned going in August too although it is very hot! Nothing is set in stone though and I'm not even sure there will be trip in 2008, but I HOPE so!!!!!!!!!
Nice to hear from you guys.

Hey Sandy, I just got off the phone with WDW, we have changed it to the Contemorary Resort:banana:  After looking at the $$$$ I thought I would most like to stay there. The boys agreeded. My DH was not happy:scared1: when I told him we would be taking anothere vacation in 2008, we also have a cruise booked for spring break. I explained that he did not have to go:upsidedow now he's on the band wagon.:dance3: We will arrive on 12/21 the MVMCP will be over by then:sad2: unless they change the schedule for next year to include Christmas week. We had to book at rack rate so if you hear of any discounts let me know. This a blackout week for AAA(and othere online TA's) 9:headache: darn it.
Merry Christmas

Good morning!!! Did everyone have a nice Christmas? As expected, Joe "surprised" me with a 7 night Disney vacation for next year. lol We'll be at All Star Sports from 9/27-10/4. Naturally, our ADR's are pretty set to go...now we just have to wait for March 31st to get here so we can make them! lol
We're planning on two Not So Scary parties, the House of Blues brunch again, and the Fort Wilderness segway tour. Good times!!!
Marla, we stayed at the Contemporary for our honeymoon in '04 and really liked it. I'll keep my eye out for any discounts or codes or anything!
Have a great day!
