On the March trip we will be at All-Star Movies. We'll be at Pop soon, though. We leave one week from tomorrow! We plan to put pictures up every night, so keep your eyes on the link in my signature for some Pop pictures (and many others) to keep you going.

I agree, it's never too early! I'm not going until June 1 and I'm already in full planning mode! And we're planning to do the 7 day land/sea combo with the DCL so I'm excited! I think we'll be staying at POFQ (if I get my way ;) ) and other than that I'm not sure but I can't wait to plan it! Oh how I love Disney, some how they make planning fun!

My wife and I just booked our next trip for March 28th-April 8th at Pop Century! We absolutely love Pop which is strange, as it is one of the cheapest to stay at. We could stay at most of the other places, but Pop Century is the place we call home. We are thinking of maybe grabbing a night or two at the Animal Kingdom Lodge though, it's the only one that tempts us. :)

Just a little update, I managed to get ALL our ADR's earlier today!! :banana:

I'm so excited now, can't wait!! So I got us:

14/04/08 - CRT for breakfast (this was my biggie, I cannot tell you how excited I am that we've got this one! It'll be my dream come true!)

17/04/08 - Le Cellier at Epcot

19/04/08 - Fantasmic Dinner Package @ Hollywood & Vine (another I'm excited for, as I've never seen Fantasmic!)

And last but no means least,

22/04/08 - Chef Mickey's for breakfast

I don't think we did bad there at all, was on the phone for exactly 12pm (here in the UK) and managed to get through pretty easy. The chap was really nice and helpful and managed to get us booked in for them all. I got off the phone and was totally made up, I can't get over that I'm going to dine in the castle, even if the food ain't great, I won't mind, I'll be in MK for 8.05am, before park officially opens, it'll be great to see it like that!! :dance3:

awesome call for the fantasmic Package... it is much better that way rather than just fgoing up and staying in line for 2 hours if you want to get a good sit...

I always book CP if we want to be in early at MK... they do have as early as 8:00AM and the food is awesome...

Working on ADR's...this is a trip sponsored by my wonderful parents, who have gotten the DDP for everyone, so I'm trying to make sure I use up available credits appropriately. So many places to eat, so little time! So far we've got Coral Reef for dinner with all of us (6 adults and 6 children, oy!)...a bit of a family tradition to eat there. I have to get working on the rest of it soon!

Our home resort is Vero Beach. We rarely have any problem booking at the 7 month window as long as we go during off peak times. Sometimes I have to split stays to get what I want, but we love them all.

hello all we will be at alstar music in a family suite for our 1st family trip to wdw...i haven't been since 1972* so i know it will be great! we will eb going with our dd and her family...prepre planning trips with other dd & her family and ds and his family in 2009 and 2010 as their children get older!
we have booked our room/made adr's and been getting things here and there as we run across them on the cheap. gotten so many wonderful tips & ideas form these boards and am having a great time planning. i have even learned thinsg on here that my ddil ddidn't know and she is a seasoned veteran with 26 trips under her belt at the ripe old age of 21! she didn't know about the coral reef divers sign/menues...or about waking tink and a few other things ..so thanks for the disney points disboards!
anyways we will be leaving home early in the a.m. on :woohoo: 4/4/08 to drive the 500 or so miles { i think } to the magical world. we will check out the outlet mall for the store that sells disney stuff,get a room at a hotel and rest up so we can hit dtd and eat lunch at cap'n jacks and do disney quest and then later check in our room and maybe go see that castle we have eheard so much about...not on the plans to go to mk until the 9th but will see if i can twist some arms for a sneek peek! we got the 7 day base ticket so might as well use it right! all we gotta do is tell the g'kidsprincess: pirate: to ask pawpaw.:love: ..works like a charm...:rolleyes1
we have adr's at coral reef,crt,goofy/liberty tree,playhouse disney @ hollywood & vine and the rest will be fly by the seat of our pants about cs except we do wanna try flame tree bbq and kids want toy story pizza...we wil do a water park /lazy day midweek and then check out on the firday and hopefullydo a park with our last day ticket and stay in hotel and then back to the real world...:sad1:
my dd has been busy painting t'shirts forthe kids in their fav charaters for the different parks..thye may have 2 outfits some days! dh/dsil htnk we are nuts and we are:lmao: ...so far she has done tink and minnie mouse for elli on t's,minnie is too cute wiht her lil winking self and she has painted flora,fauna and merriweather on some capris too and will do a shirt for that. blaze is getting goofy,pirate mickey& leo form little einstiens for now..they will add ad we get the shirts to paint on... i am very frugal and am gathering thinsg from clearance racks and consigment sales to paint on.
we have been buying rain poncho's just in case,dsisil got use some at a thrift sale for $1 each and they have mickey on them and were new in the pack! we have gotten glow sicks,anything disney i can grab to use ofr an idea i got here for hanging up a bag or setting up a treasure box for the kids and at night tink or whomever comes in and gives them a gift while they sleep...spreads magic and helps with the gimme's!i am hoping cinderella givesprincess elli some gloves to go wiht her cinderella dress...
we are doing many things to make this trip funa nd the planning and watching these boards makes it all the better...dgk's and i play a game called ' i lov eyou more than?' where we tell each other each day we love each other moe than...mickey,donald,101 dalmamtions...you name it...we try to out do each other and try to not repete ,really fu!

:welcome: hey Disneyjazz... reading your post got me excited even more in going back... I am looking forward ne seeing pictures of your outfits... it sound so cool... I dont have any kids.. so our trip is usually me dsis (35) and mom and dad (in their 50's and 60's)... and so I thank all the friends I met her at the boards who had shared their kids at the park with me... it was the best feeling when you see a child get so excited as soon as they see a favorite character... I know you will be making so much great memories that your kids.. grandkids will be treasuring in their heart forever!!!

We are going to WDW Apr 19th - 26th (surprise trip for DS10) and I haven't had a chance to make our ADR's yet.. We are only going to make them for dinner (except for Sci-Fi for lunch).. hopefully we won't have any problem.. This will be my BIL's first visit to WDW so we are letting him make the decisions where we go for dinner. I know the only place he really wants to go to is WCC, so as long as we get into there all will be good. We usually go the 1st week of April, but with DS10 in 4th grade this year it's harder to pull him out of school for a week, so we decided to go during his actuall vacation week.

we will be checking in at music on the 5th of april. can't wiat...had the oldest grands spend the night last night after we went to a family halloween party with all 7 grands...what a blast and what noise! anyways,elli and balze spent the night and of course had to have disney books for their bedtiem stories,elli chose little mermaid and blaze chose a story in a pooh book.then thi smorning after breakfast i got out thier disney rain poncho's to let them take home to " pack in the box in mama's closet with the udder disney stuth!" elli's is a pink princess poncho and blazer's is yellow with mickey ont he back ,dd & i will have the same as him,my dsil got them fro us at a thrift sale for $1 each,new in the pack! someone musta had a dry disney trip! heehee....sent home elli & blae's dada's poncho too,he and pawpaw get red nascar poncho's i got on clearance for a quarter each!!!! go me!
not done much else in the way of planning just looking at cheap hotels for the night of the 4th....can't wiat to come in here and see what you all are up to next....princess hugs and pirate arrgghhsss....

We have a family trip planned for June so this makes it all the more exciting knowing that I will be there twice this year :cool1: We will be staying at the Swan from April 6th - April 12th. We will be going to OKW 4/21-4/26. I'm getting ready to do my summer/winter clothes switch in the house now and want to pack for our April trip so I won't have to go up in the attic come April (still too early for summer clothes here in NJ). We've never been to FL in April before so I just wanted to confirm that it will be hot enough for tank tops, etc......... Does it get humid in April?? Will I need to pack some long pants/sweatshirts for evening??? HELP PLEASE!!!

We were there last April and the weather was beautiful. It was warm/hot during the day - tank tops would definitely be ok - but it was never humid. Also, we needed sweatshirts some mornings and evenings, but we didn't bother with long pants. It was perfect!

Thats a shame that your DH doesn't like to plan so far ahead, although, if I hadn't found the DIS, then I wouldn't have planned my ADR's either!

Don't forget, you can keep checking whilst your in the parks/hotels to see if there's anything available for that day, that way you might get the odd dining experience, without the planning! :thumbsup2

even at the peak of FD... we never have a problem when we needed a switch for ADRS... as long as you are not pickie with time and place you'll be fine!!!

G'morning peeps... I know I know I have been out of the loop... I am at the mercy of my niece pc wise... My pc died and will be able to afford to get one by May 08 ... since I have to go see the mouse 1st before I buy a pc...priorities priorities!!!

Now I am back on my feet.. 2 more weeks and my 6 weeks LOA is over... Surgery was great I cannot complain everybody was awesome !!! Now let the planning begin!!!;)

We will do dtd and cap'n jacks and disney quest then check in and i am hoping to head to mk for soem fun and either wishes/spectromagic:wizard: ,we will catch the other on weds. when we go back for a full day.:thumbsup2 we will go to epcot on sunday { coral reef for lunch}and then i think we decided on ak for monday { cs here}.tuesday will be water park and whatever we decide to do...{ i say go back to mk!,i think we will have the most to do here w/ lil ones!} weds. will be mk all day! we will have lunch with cinderella { elli's choice] and supper w/ goofy { blaze's choice } thurs. is hollywood studios and lunch at hollywood and vine and elli all excited about hsm2 show... firday is check out day :sad1: but we wanna get the most bang for our buck { if we have any energy left :rolleyes: } so will do a park i htink and stay in cheap hotel again and drive home on sat. to rest up on sun. to head back to work...we'll need a vacation to get over our vacation...:laughing:
i just this morning got out my suit cases and all the goodies i have been getting here and there fo rht etrip.every thing from rain ponchos { got lucky and dsil found brandnew mickey ones for $1 each! for me,brendi & blaze. elli has a disney princess one i got on clareacne! and the men have nascar one's i got for a quarter each! i am a budget-a-holic...i have gotten things to give them each a small gift form tink each night and also will do a gift basket from minnie/micey.their great grandparents were at disney in nov. and sent them post cards form m & m and they went wild...so i will continue the magic with nanna made baskets.use the old 'while they look at the bedroom in the suite there is a knock at the door and the baskets are there!' trick:love: .

They're hard ticket events, which means the Magic Kingdom (MK) will close early (7pm) on the selected evenings. With regards to how busy it will be during April, I keep hearing mixed reviews. Some posts I've read say that with Spring Breaks and Grad Nights throughout the month, then it's most likely going to be very busy (but not as busy as peak summer time). Others I've read come across that most schools will be back by then, so the crowds may not be as bad. It's all a little confusing if you ask me :confused3

We're just going to show up and wait and see what happens!

Either way, we're at Disney, so we're going to have a great time - I'm sure of it! :thumbsup2

My guess is that if MK/AK close earlier, then most people will head to either HS and possibly more so Epcot (if those are evening magic hours).

My guess is that Epcot will be the busiest park that evening, followed by HS. Maybe better to try DTD or Quest (if you've got those planned in your trip). Other than that, you'll have to just knuckle down and march your way through the crowds at either HS or Epcot :)

Hi there, Im new to the board , we have just booked our family trip. This year my Parents decided they would take my 2 older girls to disney, my DH decided that sice he had not ever been we would join then and make a family trip!

So April 29th to May 6th 2008 we will be staying at all stars movie resort!

We are so excited as this is a huge trip for us! Last time I was there I was 7 so a very long time ago lol!

So far we have booked the Bibbity Bobbity Boutiqe and the Cinderella castle dinner, both on the same day so the girls will be all dressed up for dinner, I can wait to see them.
we also have booked the storybook lunch in epcot.
not sure if we will be doing any other bookings , we dont have the meal plan so we will probably just see what there is when we get there.

Hi there, Im new to the board , we have just booked our family trip. This year my Parents decided they would take my 2 older girls to disney, my DH decided that sice he had not ever been we would join then and make a family trip!

So April 29th to May 6th 2008 we will be staying at all stars movie resort!

We are so excited as this is a huge trip for us! Last time I was there I was 7 so a very long time ago lol!

So far we have booked the Bibbity Bobbity Boutiqe and the Cinderella castle dinner, both on the same day so the girls will be all dressed up for dinner, I can wait to see them.
we also have booked the storybook lunch in epcot.
not sure if we will be doing any other bookings , we dont have the meal plan so we will probably just see what there is when we get there.

Sounds great - we are staying at Old Key west also from 18th to 24th April. It's my 5 year old DS's first ever trip to the 'World' and he is mega excited. There are plenty of pics of us in my previous trip reports - if you see us around the resort please say 'Hi' :)

Hi everyone! This is my first post on the board. I have been lurking while waiting on my account to activate.

I am going April 13-19. Staying in Fort Wilderness at an RV hookup.

This is my first trip to DW. My husband is coming (he has been a few times) and my 5 year old daughter as well. It should be a very magical trip!!

I have been able to gather so much info from this board. I have made all of my ADRs and even managed to get into CRT for lunch! I must have won the lottery!

I can't wait to go.

I went single in Feb of last year. After 3 days I was lonely. (kept calling DH) Luckily on day 4 DH's friend and her family showed up so I hung out with them a couple of days until I headed home.
Solo for me would be a 3 day trip max.

What DBF doesn't know is though, I've ordered two t-shirts for us from Laughing Place! A 'Grumpy' (I'm only Grumpy on days that end in a 'Y' on the front! :rotfl2: ) one for him, and a new '2008 Mickey, Minnie, Donald & Goofy' one for me!! I'm having them shipped over to us, so they'll hopefully arrive soon and I can suprise him!! But shhhhh...he doesn't know ;)

Well, I had my first Disney dream in anticipation of our upcoming trip. So I figure I had to share it with those who like me were Disney obsessed.

So we land at MCO and head to ME. Our luggage gets loaded and we get on the bus. DH slides into the drivers seat and says, "Let's go!" I asked him where the bus driver was and the bus driver was sitting in the 2nd row, just behind us. I asked DH if he knew how to drive a bus and he said, "Of course!" So off we went and I was actually really nervous about him driving it. I was worried he would drive to fast on the on ramps to the highway and take out other cars. He did fine and the next thing I know is we're at our resort and he's having the bus back over to the driver!!!

I've been having some weird dreams lately so I'm not surprised I had a dream about WDW. I want April to get here fast!

Our ADR's are booked - not many TS meals but I was able to get everything at the times I wanted except for 1 and decided we'd just have a late dinner.

Trip is almost completely paid for - will be by middle of Feb.

Still haven't decided on whether or not we're doing P&PP. We did MNSSHP the last trip and loved it. Plus I think it's OK to allow your kids to stay up past their bedtime everyone once in awhile.

You can pre-order the photopass on the website, which is http://www.disneyphotopass.com/
If you pre-order it you get the CD for $99, instead of $125. I do believe there’s also Grand Floridian Photo shoots available now too, for an extra cost. On the photopass website you can find maps which show where all the CM photographers are found in the parks, so you hopefully can get plenty pictures!

Have any of you been to this before? I am trying to decide if I should make arrangements to go with my 11-year old son who is not sure whether he wants to or not? I already have paid ALOT of money for this trip and do not want to spend anymore if he is not going to have a BLAST!!!
