We met Sylvester Stallone at Pleasure Island many years ago. He was in the area filming Oscar. He's very short !

We saw Aerosmith checking out of the Beach Club as we were checking in a few years back. They were there for the Rock 'N' Roll Roller Coaster.

We ate breakfast at the Cape May Cafe next to MLB pitcher Frank Viola many years ago as well.

Since I wasn't allowed to ask, I went and looked it up myself:rotfl: . I haven't seen anyone famous in my 2 visits. I probably wouldn't recognize most of them unless there was a really big crowd around them.

2004 a football player (can't remember which one) coming out of ESPN Zone on the Boardwalk.

Rode on Buzz Light year in the car behind NBA Detroit PIstons star Rasheed Wallace. After the ride, I tried to just say hello to him and maybe hopefully shake his hand (I'm an NBA fan and would have loved to meet him).

However, he was a complete jerk and refused to speak to me. I said "Mr. Wallace, as a fan, I just wanted to say hello to you". He then gave me a dirty look, which my wife has from standing off in the distance (she actually has a picture of him giving me a dirty look), and then he walked off. I admit, I wasn't all that shocked considering the way he acts when he plays basketball games, but I figured he was at WDW and would be nice.

Later I realized it wasn't just me when hilariously a guy happened to see him and the guy just happened to be wearing a pistons jersey. The guy went up to him and Rasheed even gave him the cold shoulder. I just laughed like crazy. When I saw the guy in the Pistons jersey walk by me, I said "Nice guy huh?". The guy just shook his head.

So, just FYI, Rasheed Wallace is just as much of a jerk in real life as you see on TV.

In May (I think the 10th or 11th) we seen Tony Siragusa (NFL--Ravens & Colts) and his family going onto Big Thunder Mtn Railroad (escorted through the VIP entrance, of course)....my husband wanted to wait outside until he came off so he could get a pic (to PROVE it...you know how men are!!)...we did get a pic from a distance but did not speak to him out of respect...we felt he deserved it since he was spending private time with his wife and child.

At Disneyland I saw The Olsen twins years ago, and Tia and Tamera Mowry getting on It's a Small World. I know there's a couple others but I can't think of them now....

That's so cool to be on the plane with one of the Myth Busters. We LOVE that show! Even my kids would love to meet one of them. We're less than 2 hours from San Francisco, and I've though so many times we should figure out where their "garage" is so we can drive by it while we're out there! That would be neat :D

Great pic to have! But jerk or not, if I was approached by people ALL day long on my vacation trying to enjoy Disney, I might get cranky. How could you enjoy your vacation time? For you it was only a few seconds, but constantly all day could be irritating. Although I wouldn't give dirty looks...

Over the years I have seen. Oprah, Regis Philbin, Walter Cronkite, Donny Osmond, John Glenn and Cuba Gooding. Some astronauts were staying at the Beach Club when they were having a special ceremony but I don't know who they were. My husband loves anything to do with space and NASA. I was in the lobby with all these people and that was the year I went with my mom and he stayed home.

Agreed that it would be hard, but really, for the $$ they get paid, they should deal with it! It's par for the course, want the big bucks b/c you have lots of fans, treat those fans well! It's not like they are forced to be popular. I teach, and when I see my students outside of school (sometimes multiple times a day) I can't ignore them, just because I'm trying to relax. . . and I don't get paid lots of $$$ like they do to keep doing what the fans like!

Just my two cents. . .

Haven't seen a star, but would love to see many that I've heard others have seen!:goodvibes

Richard Seymour Defensive Lineman for the New England Patriots My sister and I shared a table at teppanyaki with he and his incredibly delightful, exceptionally polite family. My friend constantly reminds me of the time she met "Doogie Howser" at Disneyland (Neil Patrick Harris now, but because of the time she saw him he's still Doogie Howser in the story) I've never seen a celeb at Disney, but Dennis Rodman was on our flight to Hawaii once...wouldn't have bothered him even if there was a chance, but he was definetly recognizable even in brief passing. Recently, I saw Glady Knight waiting at the exit of EE with a VIP Host. No, I didn't make a fuss!

Our "supremo forever" has to be Dec 2001... We stayed in the room next to Julie Andrews and Blake Edwards (they had one of the suites, we didn't!) at the Boardwalk. Rode the elevators with them, walked the halls with them and stood with them out on the concierge balcony, waiting for a rocket launch that never happened. Julie was there in a dressing robe and wet hair (very, very short!), while Blake and I discussed the fact that nothing was going to happen. Finally, he said to me, "I feel like an idiot", and left, with Julie following behind. Days later, we did take some pics as they were leaving and climbing in to the limo, and I was amazed at the way the VIP treated them! Like they were saying good bye to their best friend.

She is an incredible personality!

WE saw Mick Foley of WWE at the Mexico pavillion. I did not know who he was at the time only that he was a huge slob with a beautiful wife. It was funny b/c all the people around him were looking at him and I thought it was b/c he was dressed in a red and black flannel shirt and looked huge. I heard people say MICKFOLEY was there and I thought his name was McFoley.

Donny Osmond is a very down to earth guy. I met him about 2 years ago in Vegas and he was exactly as I had imagined. He was very polite and seemed to be interested in what I was saying. I actually don't remember what I said to him as I was so nervous.

ok, I have to say first.. I would never think to see Slash on a disney cruise!! haha.. it just seems too um.. non -rock n roll to me! :rotfl2:

secondly.... to the people who saw johnny depp and Vincent D'Onofrio .. did you get to talk to them? what happned? what did they say? OMG, I am IN LOVE with both of those men... someone would have to hold me back so I wouldn't jump on top of them! :hippie:

and for my celebrity encounters...

I used to work at celebrity eyeworks studio in downtown disney...

1. once a co-worker said jennifer lopez was eating at house of blues... some of my other co-workers ran over there to see her but I didn't.

2. The lead singer of REO speedwagon came in the shop one night and I could tell by his conversation on his cell phone that he was someone in the music biz so I struck up a conversation with the guy...

me: are you having a nice vacation?
him: actually i'm here working. my band is playing house of blues tomorrow night.
me: oh cool.. what band are you in?
him: REO speedwagon.
none of my coworkers heard of the band besides me - they were all in their early 20's, I was about 27. I think the guy was just happy that I knew who they were! He ended up giving me free tickets and backstage passes! :woohoo: (not that I'm a huge REO speedwagon fan. it was a good show though!)

3. A woman walked into the store and I could tell she was someone famous just by the way she was walking around and looking self important.. I helped her in the store... she tried on at least 15 pairs of sunglasses. :3dglasses she would take the sunglasses to the mirror and kinda suck in her cheeks at herself and pout her lips and pose with the glasses on her face  .. she ended up buying like 6 pairs of sunglasses and they were all in the 800 - 1200 dollar range. As I was walking behind her in the store to get the glasses for her.. she FARTED  (yes! farted!) and acted like it didn't happen. After I made the sale (and got great commission off of her) I asked my manager who she was...

it was Carrie Fisher of Star Wars fame! haha.

4. Once I heard that R. Kelly  came into the store to buy a LOT of sunglasses .. they were supposedly going to be given to his backup dancers and used in a video they were shooting... I didn't get to see him though, I just missed him by like a minute or two!

5. A co-workers boyfriend met Steven Tyler on Buzz lightyear and said he was a really cool guy, not stuck up or mean at all! :hippie: :thumbsup2

I think that's it!

I met him at 50's Prime Time and he even posed for a picture-very nice. I told him I loved his new show (How I Met Your Mother.) I have also met Joe Rhode (have a picture/autograph) at an Imagineering talk and Ming Tsai at Food and Wine. We have seen a lot of the stars here for the 50th and the Christmas parade. Page Davis (Trading Places), Diana Digarmo (American Idol), Patrick Warburton (Puddy, Kronk, The Tick), Alan Cumming (Nightcrawler-X2), Giada Delaurentis (Everyday Italian), The High School Musical kids, Kelly and Regis, etc..

I have always loved watching her in anything she has done and now my kids do, too! I would not go up to a celeb at Disney as much as I wuold probably want to. It's their off time and one little picture could lead to them being SWARMED.

That said, I had lunch with the oldest son from Home Improvement and his family and we did take a picture with him. What happened was, we were at ESPN cafe in boardwalk the day it opened and it was just a clusterXXXX all around. We waited over 2 hours to get our lunch. They were at the table next to us and we just bonded. We didn't even realize it was him until he said he was there for a disney promotion (all the ABC stars of the Friday night line up were there at the time). When we finally got our food and ate, we asked if we could take a picture.

That same week we saw Corbin Bernson on Tower of Terror and all the kids from Boy Meets World.

Another time, we saw Evander Hollyfield and his family coming out of The Living Seas. This was right after the Mike Tyson incident and I sooo wanted to make a joke but I was a good girl.

OH! I just remembered that we saw David Copperfield coming off of ToT! actually.. my mom, sister, and I rode it and my dad was waiting for us when we got off.. he told us he saw David and filmed him.. and we got to watch the video back..

david was getting on an elevator from down in the basement going up and my dad yelled at him "YO DAVID!!" and david copperfield waved at my dad just as the doors of the elevator were shutting and got it on tape! haha. it was pretty funny to watch it back later.

that dude is SOOO TALL and SKINNY (we saw him in magic kingdom later on our trip) and he always wears his signature black pants and black shirt! (maybe he had on a black leather jacket, I can't remember!)

I feel the same way. I would feel like I'm evading their privacy. It would be a different story if they were there for some publicity event. But if they are with their families, I think they are off limits.

Back in the mid-80's we were staying at the Disney Villas (miss them!). You could rent a golf cart to drive back and forth to DTD - well one afternoon we were on our patio and saw a golf cart coming towards our villa with a long haired guy driving, as he got closer I could tell it was ALICE COOPER and his family. ex-DH wouldn't let me say anything so I just waved and he waved back. I did watch to see where they went - they had a villa in the building next to ours. We saw them a couple more times that week and each time just smiled and waved.

Also during the 80's at MGM we saw the Mickey Mouse Club while they were taping - the one with Britney, Christina and Justin, et al. - back then they were just a bunch of kids on the stage singing and dancing.

I saw Dan Marino going into the Tent in Toontown. We happened to be going in and I approached him. His wife and kids had just been escorted through a VIP entrance to see the characters and he was waiting for them. I said " Mr. Marino, I am a big fan and was wondering if it wasn't a bother, could I please have an autograph?" He said "Sure, no problem." Of course, the only paper I had was my DS Disney autograph book. I used it. Then I left him alone. He went out and sat on the curb out front to wait and when we came out, he was still there so I took a picture (on the sly) and so as not to bother him again. I still have both of those items. I love Dan Marino, the best quarterback ever.(not up for debate):thumbsup2

Donny Osmond is a very down to earth guy. I met him about 2 years ago in Vegas and he was exactly as I had imagined. He was very polite and seemed to be interested in what I was saying. I actually don't remember what I said to him as I was so nervous.

I was almost run over by his limo when I was 14...

Okay, at Disney, I've seen Michael Jackson (who had brought a group of 25 kids with him and had taken over 2 floors at either the Swan or Dolphin, I forget which. It was a HUGE pack of people moving together everywhere!)

I try hard not to bother celebs if I see them because they deserve a vacation too!

We just seen Scotty Pippen(sp) walking down the Boardwalk during our last trip a couple weeks ago.
I'm not a basketball fan so I didn't know who he was. I knew he was someone important though because he was well dressed and about 2 feet taller than anyone on the BW. Plus everyone was staring at him.

A little kid, yelled Hi Scotty. He looked over at him, waved and said, Hey Bud, his voice is very deep!

Plus when DH and I were at the MK a couple years ago, they were shooting Extreme Makeover Home Edition. Its the one where the MK was open during the night for all the kids who can't be in sunlight. It was pretty cool to see the cast, but Ty wasn't there. :sad1:

I'll share my best one..

When I was a CM in the College Program way back in '88 I worked in The Chapeau Hat Shop on Main Street, MK (was I not the luckiest person in the world???). Each day during the 3 o'clock parade I would spend the time cleaning the shop because typically the guests were watching the parade and the shop was vacant. One particularly beautiful Spring day I was tidying up and enjoying myself. I was singing along with the music (yeah, you get to know every word!) and dust-busting around the Mouse Ears when I suddenly saw a man standing there. He startled me a bit because he seemed to come from nowhere! At that time there was only the entrance from the Camera Center (now the Candy Shop) and there was a wall where the DVC area is now.

He said, "You seem to be enjoying yourself" and I laughed and told him that how couldn't I? I got to spend every day in the most magical place on Earth. We exchanged a few more words and then he said goodbye and walked away. Only he walked through the CM entrance!! I was shocked and didn't know what to do (never had a guest do that before) and while I was frantically thinking about my next step a Main Street CM came in and asked me if I knew who that was. I said, "No!" and that I was sorry that I didn't stop him from going through that door. He just laughed and said he had every right to.

"Didn't he look familiar," he asked?

"Well, yes, as a matter of fact," I said, thinking all the while that he DID look familiar but I just couldn't place HOW he did.

"Want to know why?" he asked?

Because that was Roy Disney.

I met several famous people while working there but NONE could have impressed me more. It is one of my fondest memories. I will never forget his smile when I shared my joy of being there. :cloud9:

We were just there........and I am pretty sure I was face to face with Michael J. Fox on fathers day in the magic kingdom.
He had a few cast members with him and got a boat on small world to himself and his family. He had on a hat and glasses, like the rest of the crowd, and was a bit scruffy, but I am pretty sure it was him.

Two years ago I saw Kelly Ripa pushing her two youngest kids in a stroller in Epcot. I heard her say to the Guest Services CM who was with her that they were going over to Test Track to meet up with her husband and her oldest son.

I've also seen Susan Lucci and Deidre Hall.

She was walking thru with a small group while we were in Philharmagic...Dh stayed out with our toddler(who's afraid of the loud noises in there). He didn't bother her, but couldn't get a picture either because I had the camera with me. He did say she looks smaller in person than she does on the show. A few months later, I saw Raymond from Everyone Loves Raymond and his family being escorted up to Goofy's Barnstormer. He seemed like such a down to earth guy chatitng to people and not getting upst if anyone wanted an autograph.

Plus, while working in the Farmer's Market in toontown, I got to wait on Puff Daddy...boy did he have a huge Entourage(sp?) and there was a lot of little kids with him.. one guy asked for an autograph for their kid and Puff was like.....first go and get him an autograph book and I will sign that......

Well, I'll add mine. This is a fun thread....

I must have been 12 or so, this was back in 1987 or 1988. My mother, brother, sister, and a friend of my mother were in the elevator at the CR. We got on and had 10 or so flights to go. A group of three guys were on the elevator already, so it was a tight squeeze. Well, here I am, shorter than everyone, and I was staring down. These three guys had the coolest cowboy boots on that I had ever seen. I was going through some sort of cowboy phase myself (had just gotten my first pair of boots recently). These boots were some sort of alligator or snakeskin, either way, they were really cool looking. I don't know what made me say this, but I blurted out, "Your boots are cool." One of the guys said, "Thanks little man." He then mussed my hair, and with that we all exited the elevator. As they were walking away, the same guy tipped his hat to my mother and her friend and said, "Have a nice day folks."

My mother and her friend were both looking at each other, and finally my mother said, "That was Alabama!"

I had no idea who they were at the time. And I don't really listen to country music now, but I know the group Alabama.

To this day those boots are burned into my head. They seemed like real nice people.

me: are you having a nice vacation?
him: actually i'm here working. my band is playing house of blues tomorrow night.
me: oh cool.. what band are you in?
him: REO speedwagon.
none of my coworkers heard of the band besides me - they were all in their early 20's, I was about 27. I think the guy was just happy that I knew who they were! He ended up giving me free tickets and backstage passes! :woohoo: (not that I'm a huge REO speedwagon fan. it was a good show though!)" Luna99

REO speedwagon, I am old enough to remember them. May have even been one of the first concerts I went to. I would love to see them at WDW.

May 03' we waited forever to ride TOT, why the wait?? Good Charlotte was there getting VIP treatment. I had no idea who they were, then we went to RRC, yep long wait there too. We had young adults in our group, they were pretty excited to see them.

We were in line for Space Mountain, right when they give you the numbers to stand on. This beautiful, and very tall woman, entered from the side with a CM along with two children and a man. They were placed on the line in front of us. I had seen her from the side and finally it clicked: Uma Thurman. This was a couple of weeks ago and she managed to pull off a beautiful long, flowey type dress in the heat without looking soggy like the rest of us. When her ride left, the guy behind us said, "Hey do you know who that is? She was just on Splash Mountain ahead of us." By the time we pulled in to get off, she was just slipping away, but not before the group ahead had pulled out their cell phones to take pictures. The CMs seemed pretty excited, too.

We were in line at the bus stop at DHS this past January, and some teenage girls were all excited. Apparently, the had seen Miley Cyrus on RNR. The ride had been temporarily closed so she could ride. However, the girls' father had some sort of job where they were able to get passes to go on. So, while they were in line, Miley and some others with her came out and got in the cars in front of them. She was taken out a back exit. The girls got pictures of her ride picture with their camera. Apparently she was in town for a concert the next night. (We never saw her ourselves, just the picture of a picture!:rotfl: )

I haven't seen a celebrity at Disney in awhile but there was only a couple....

in probably 2000 we sat right next to Sisqo (the singer) during Fantasmic. Someone we were with got VIP seating through their work and he was sitting directly next to me. Said hello when he came to sit down but that's it.

Then in 1992 or 1993, when my friends and I were in love with the Mickey Mouse Club...we were in between tapings at MGM and Ryan Gosling and another of the mouseketeers walked into the candy store with us. We talked and took a pic with them and then they left.

Pretty much if they were on the Mickey Mouse Club, we met them at one point during our Disney adventures. I also have pictures somewhere of Justin Timberlake, Christina, Britney, JC, etc... from when they were walking around the parks. At the time though we were also 12 and 13 so I think it was more 'acceptable' running up to them and asking for pics and stuff. :)

Oh my...eons ago (1990's) we met some soap opera stars. We talked to them while we were at Pleasure Island.

Cord Roberts (character name) I think was one. The other was the guy who played Tad from All My Children. Both were very nice...especially Cord.

We arrived in Orlando the day of Super Bowl XXXV, which was played in Tampa.

We were on the ferry to MK the first day and happened to be up at the front of the boat. I turned around, looked behind me, and started laughing. Other than our lily-white, out of shape family, the rest of the front section of the ferry was filled with HUGE muscular men and their families. Ummm... wonder who THEY were? ;) The man standing next to me, holding his teeny tiny baby boy, looked at me, looked behind him and started laughing too and said "we're quite a sight, aren't we?"

Oh wow, I've seen so many celebrities at Disney World I can't even count them.

I saw Mickey Mouse once at Magic Kingdom.

Then we went over to MGM to ride Rockin' Rollercoaster, and the guys from Aerosmith were actually in there recording an album! They couldn't stay long, though, they were on their way to a concert downtown.

I could swear I saw John Wayne and Clint Eastwood hanging out in some Chinese movie theater somewhere.

:rolleyes1

Sorry, couldn't help myself. ;)

I saw Nsync and Jordan Knight at MGM (they were filiming a special)...I also saw Tyrese who was a jerk to everyone (just ignoring people)...but I guess it gets old after a while....I saw some woman and her family from a soap opera at Haunted Mansion...and the blonde woman from the show "Wings" at POR.

Taken from the M5industries (their special effects company where they shoot most of the show I believe) website..just an FYI they don't do tours for safety reasons:
M5 Industries
1268 Missouri Street
San Francisco, California
94107-3310

I wanted to drive by last time I was in SF but didn't have time or a car
I can see why they would not do tours for safety reasons.:scared1:  :scared1:
A lot of their stuff seems to involve blowing things up or shooting things.
My DD's favorite episode is where they busted the myth about whether flushing an airplane toilet while sitting on it will cause suction that holds the butt in place.:happytv:
A few years ago, we were at DTD and saw this swarm of people. We ran over to see what all the commotion was and there was Michale Jackson with one of his children.
That's one of our family jokes.
If we see a group of people who seem to be part of a commotion, we say "I think it's Michael Jackson".
When we saw Slash and his wife in Palo ( I was facing him so I couldn't help but stare all night LOL) he was wearing all black topped off with a backwards black ball cap! I mean you couldn't help but notice that! His wife was dressed more for street corner walking:flower3: than for fine dining. She had a REALLY short skirt on and was hanging out on top. :rolleyes1
Maybe she wasn't out for fine dining.:flower3::rolleyes1
I met Joe Rohde (hence the avitar) last year at the Rose and Crown.

And I better not get a "Who's Joe Rohde?":rolleyes1
I think we saw him last Spring.

We were in line for Jungle Cruise, waiting for the wheelchair accessible boat, when I saw a bunch of people, accompanied by about 4 CMs come into the area where we were waiting.
I quickly recognized John Lasseter (mostly by his Hawaiian shirt). There were several other guys with him, dressed kind casual, but none had quite as 'loud' of shirts as he had. I whispered, "John Lasseter is over there" :ssst: (I didn't want to cause a scene by talking loudly).
The other people in my party said "WHO?" :confused3
except for my oldest DD. She and I recognized some of the other people from Behind the Scenes videos (which is where I thought I recognized Joe from), but we could not name the other people. Sadly, they got on the next boat that pulled up and we didn't have time to take any pictures.

When we got on our boat, the driver was all excited and asked if anyone had seen the celebrity. DD and I raised our hands and said we had seen John Lasseter
The rest of the people on the boat were saying "WHO?":dance3:
The boat captain mentioned things like Pixar, Toy Story, etc. and had to go thru quite a list before most people figured out who he was.
The captain said the Jungle Cruise captains were especially excited because John Lasseter had worked on Jungle Cruise in DL when he was young (DD and I knew that because we watched the extra features on some Disney DVD).:thumbsup2
We hoped to run into them again, but no luck.:sad1:

The closest I came was to seeing Hanson at DLR in 2004 (we were there for the concert) and we ended up on the monorail with one of their wives & their son.

Also saw Hanson at DTD in 2005 (right before wilma hit), in the parking lot...but again, they were doing a show at House of Blues that night. But again, we went for the show, so we weren't that surprised to see them.

OT, but I was also on a flight with them once, as well. They've always been super nice. Great guys.

That's about it for my celeb encounters...I would have killed to see any of the boy meets world cast there..like I've seen a few people have. Soooo jealous! I love love love ben savage.

He was waiting for a table just like us, but he was seated before us. of course my aunt who has a great sense of humor said "hey im pretty sure we were here before that movie star..." lol

We saw Joey Fatone leaving the Beach Club. This was before he was on Dancing with the Stars. I knew he was one of the guys from NSync but didn't know his name at the time. I had to ask one of my teenage nieces. I wouldn't have know him if someone hadn't stopped to ask for an autograph. Then we followed him through the World Show Case International gates. Now he is an even bigger star with that singing bee show (don't know the name) he is on. He is also now in a Disney promotional ad on Travel Disney on IO cable.

About 7 or 8 years ago when my girlfriend and I were still single and going to WDW 2-3 times a year and were annual pass holders (ahh..those were the days! LOL :rolleyes1 :yay: :woohoo: ) we were getting our seating assignments for our flight from Newark to Orlando and were excited to find out we would be sitting in the emergency exit row..woo hoo..more leg room! Only to find 2 seconds later we couldn't sit there because a seat had been taken in the row. When we were boarding, we passed that row and saw this very large man sitting there and jokingly commented about "oh, there's the creep that took our seats". Not knowing who he was. When we landed and were in the terminal going to get our rental car, there was a swarm of people around the guy who took our seats and then we noticed that it was Carl Banks from the NY Giants. He is a HUGE guy and understood why he got an exit row with lots of leg room;) ..we laughed and were like, ok, he was allowed to have our seats then!

I was working at The Chapeau on Main Street and Shirley Jones came in and looked around during the 3 o'clock parade. She was really nice :goodvibes She was wearing a big sun hat and giant glasses. We went during ESPN the weekend in March of '05 and saw a bunch of famous athletes which had us running through the parks like mad trying to find more famous people (we could spot them because they had the special guest Disney tour guides with the plaid vests with them)! My father, who normally does not get into these things was on full alert when suddenly he screamed "Regis girl is here!" I immediately knew he meant Kelly Ripa, and we ran like the paparazzi to grab a picture of her, her husband, and her kids! :rotfl: It was quite funny to see my normally "tough" Italian father act so star-stuck.

When I was there in 2007, we watched the Boo To You Parade during MNSSHP and I would swear on my life that it was the REAL Captain Jack on the parade float! I have a video of it at home... Everyone in our group thought we were crazy but if it wasn't him it sure as heck looked just like him.

Well then on the way back to the Boardwalk, everyone on the bus was talking about how Micheal Jordan was at Disney World and wondered if anyone had seen him. Everyone in our family then were jealous because we probably did see him. Again I hate to completely confirm it was him because we were unsure.

3 of my friends and i were ahead of our 5th friend, and all of a sudden she came running (well, what ever running could be in a lazy river) towards us saying she saw him floating by...so we hung on to the side, and as he got closer, i took a picture of my 2 friends and got him in between....you can see him smiling (it was an underwater camera, not the best pictures, i should find it and scan it) so he knew what was going on...

as we were getting out, our one friend said to him "enjoy the rest of your vacation!" and he smiled and said thanks....

1998 Kevin Bacon and his wife Kyra Sedgwick at GF. [They were kind of rude, we did not approach them, but our DD14 (who was 18 mos. at the time) did and they just pulled their kids away and kept on walking. Watch out for that 18 mos. old autograph hound. We just chuckled :lmao:

2006 Beyonce

There are a lot of stars there during the taping of the "live" Christmas parade, but we are only seeing them at a distance.

I have to say Santa leaving Ohana's after a good breakfast was the best for my DD10 (then 8) was a huge hit. He was awe struck  when Santa turned to him and said..."I hope your being good, because you know I'm coming soon." My son just nodded yes - speachless.

Ok, that really DOES look like Johnny Depp! If that's not the real-life Captain Jack, it's absolutely the best look-alike I've ever seen.

That's exactly what I said! How come I can never see THAT Capt. Jack do the Pirates Tutorial? :rotfl2:

What's the biggest celebrity you've spotted at the World. And I don't mean getting total VIP treatment, or at the Super Bowl Parade or Candlelight Processional?

I met Mick Foley (former pro wrestler) with his family on the monorail heading from Grand Floridian to MK. I met Kevin Greene (former NFL player with Rams, Panthers) in the batrhoom at the Japan Pavillion bathroom. I also met jaime Lynn Spears in line at Rock-N-Roller Coaster (she noticed our LSU shirts and is also from Louisiana).

We stood in standby line with Spears for about :30. Even though these are C list celebs (if that), it was still shocking me they'd be slumming it up with the general population.

I mean, i know people who get FP hook ups, you'd think standby would out of their vocabulary.

If you do a search on this topic, there are a couple of huge threads with all the celebrity spottings in WDW. Some of them are pretty interesting.

Jamie Gertz w/ family at AK.

Ivana Trump and her two kids (then) shopping at Mouse Ears, Epcot.

Of course, both times they had Disney Security and/or guides with them.

Gee, and i would have thought one would run into Drew at his own attraction.

Apparently it's too boring for him as well :rotfl2:

Dianna Ross a few years back ... ate at 1900 Park Faire while we were there and then was able to get her picture while she waited for the elevator at the Grand Floridian.

My BIL swears he saw Scottie Pippen in 2007 when we were all there. Since he was wandering when he shouldn't have been, I think he was just trying to cover his absence.

Last year at Disneyland, we saw Mitchell Musso, Selena Gomez and the rest of the cast of Wizards of Waverly Place. My kids thought I was amazing.

Same night, we noticed a group near the Matterhorn and knew it was someone famous. My dh asked me who the woman was in the group. Hmmm.... see the guy with all that dark curly hair? My 80s hair metal former life tells me that's Slash, formerly of Guns N Roses. I was far more excited about seeing Slash than seeing his wife...

Back in Feb 2008, my DD and I were walking on Main ST and saw Samantha Brown from the travel channel...we stop to see what was going on, she was interviewing people for her next WDW show...the producer asked us to participate, got to talk to her, take a couple of photos too. She was very nice and sweet to my DD....unfortunately we weren't included in her show.

My roommate works in Downtown Disney and heard she was down there the other day. Didn't realize she'd visit Epcot!

My friend ran into a well known adult film star who was there with her young daughter. I dunno if it's appropriate to mention who but she said the girl was super nice.

Holly is a HUGEEE disney fan. She tweeted the entire week she was there saying she was staying at the Grand Floridan (her favorite hotel in the world, her words) and she went to all the parks multiple days. Even did a princess buffet haha,
