I have been reading that Disney offers a senior discount for stays at the disney hotels. I have read some at 30% and some at 35%. Does the amount of discount depend on the time of year? We are planning a trip next May. Does anyone happen to know what discount might be offered at this time. I'm sure the discount is limited. Also does anyone happen to remember what the rates were for DLH in mid May?

I'm trying to get some idea of cost for this trip. So thanks for any help that you might be able to give!

Well, we just booked GC using the senior discount--saved us approx. 26%, or about $100 per room. I'll take it! :cool1:

I have read that the age starts at 60. But I'm not sure if that's correct. I also seem to remember reading somewhere that it might start at 55.

I called Disney reservations about this yesterday. I was told the discount starts at 60 (2 years to go!;) ) and that you will have to show ID at the time of check-in. It works like an AP discount in that you have to give them your dates first and then they check and see what, if anything, is available.

Thanks for the info. We plan to go next May. So I'll call as soon as the rates are released and see if I get anything!

10 years for me. I am hoping I have the energy to go then at that age. :rotfl:

Do they release dates for senior discounts like they do for AP rates?
