I am sure it's been noted here, but sometimes the AAA room-only rate (I found that with a value resort this time around) is better than the AP rate. That tends to happen more with values and higher end deluxes than other categories.

What are your dates and what is your rate? Thanks!

I had AAA at a value (in value season), and the AP rate is $1 less per night. Where did you find AAA for cheaper than the AP rate?

Early August, preferred room. Quoted price was $6.00 more for the stay on AP. (not my res, I'm just passing along info - it's not the first time I've seen it though).

I think that you possible had the AP rate quoted WITH tax included, and the AAA without the Tax included.:confused3
The AP rate for Values (starting Aug 5th) is $1.00 less than the AAA rate for the same period.

I know in December 2006 and for the current AP period, the AAA rate for the campsites at Ft. Wilderness is less than the AP rate for the campsites.

The OP specifically mentioned value resorts, though. For Pop in August, I had AAA $64/night standard view before taxes. Yesterday, AP rates came out and the same room is $63/night before taxes.
I do always check all available discounts before booking, though (and continuously ever after, too, lol).
