Looking to go a beach while visiting Universal, is there any beaches close by?

It depends - what kind of beach are you looking for - do you want to see the Atlantic or the Gulf? They are both very nice but very different.

the closest due east would be Titusville, Cocoa beach area- it is on the Atlantic Ocean. Going west would be the Gulf coast. I LOVE the Bradenton, Sarasota area but probably because I was born and raised on the Atlantic and I like something different! Both areas are really nice though. My husband loves Kennedy space center also.

just so you know - east coast beaches are about a 45 minute drive and west coast beaches are about an hours drive. Car required.

Not many beaches in central florida.

Thanks you guys are great, and so helpful. We will have a car but don't want to drive for hours to a beach from Disney.

The day before yesterday a house on Naples beach sold for $40,000,000.00 so our beach must be pretty nice! I have always preferred the Gulf Coast from Chokoloskee Island to South Padre Island or even on to Cancun with the exception of South Beach.
