They're are a couple a scammers around the VMK grounds. I am just a kid so I think i would know about the silly scam complaints;) There is a guy out there ( unnamed) who is a pretty bad scammer. He does the "stitch hat offer" and says that he likes the persons offer. And they trade with him. And he leave. But before he leaves , he says " ill give u stitch on last trade" and he asks them to trade then disappears. We went around vmk (me and my friends) saying that VMK isn't fair. We are protesters!! VMK isnt fair and some of us know it! If you know it then bare with us. If u offer for something make sure the trade is fair. Like..my friend got scammed because someone offered a ticket ( which she did not know u could buy) because the girl that traded it too her said it was a ticket to get into a host room. She believed her. They ended up finishing the trade and she lost her bird hat..for good. After i asked her what she traded it for. And she said " a host room ticket!!" and i said...that wasn't a very fair trade.. and then i said " there is no such thing as "a host room ticket" and the girl scammed her. Then she said "it wasn't fair!!@_@" and then got really mad. She has never traded since. she just buys codes and buys stuff in the vmk stores. Be careful out there;)

Tell me about your scam stories. I'll listen, and i'll
check back everyday. Goodbye!:goodvibes

Quarts calm down if you don't like the game don't play ok don't put everyone into a tissy thats no good. :) But I do admit I've seen pretty lame scam attempts lol. Like my cousin was playing falling chairs and she won and then the owner gave her mickey ears for a prize and then the owner wanted her ears back after my cousin payed her magic to get in I'm glad they got rid of paying so people won't attempt to scam again. And yes I think they should do something because my cousin reported her and they did not do anything I don't like staff sometimes.

I Agree.

Scammers Are Very Annoying >.< Is Seems Like Everywhere You Go There's At Least One Scammer. But That's Where The Ignore Button Comes In Handy. If Someone Decides To Trade [ex. Gray Crate For Black Mickey Ears] It's Their Choice And Or Fault or Accepting The Trade. No Matter How Hard VMK Players//Staff Try There's Probably Still Going To Be Scammers. Like The "Bay Be. And Taken" Rooms Are Banned, Yet People Still Decide To Make Them.

I'd appreciate it if staff put a stop to scamming and geting into action, wich is what I normally say. Once I was looking at my new mansion room (a few months after VMK came out), and a friend walked asking if he could try on a pin. This was when VMK didn't mention scammers, so I didn't know any better. I let him use the pin. He left immediatly and deleted me from his friends' list.

Might have told this story before, not sure if I did or not.

Never trust anyone! No matter how long you have known them. I only think its okay if I would know someone in real life. Because if she steals it I can call her family@_@ - tattle - lol.I'd appreciate it if staff put a stop to scamming and geting into action, wich is what I normally say. I only knew this person for a short period of time, I got the Mansion room around a few months after VMK opened-just to let you know.

I know what you mean once when I first started vmk, someone asked to try on my mickey santa hat and promised to give it back luckily I didn't fall for it.
About 2 weeks ago I was in a trade room and I showed this girl what I was trading, and she said she liked all of it.. and her offer was a ticket that would expire the next day to her room, then I said no thank you and exited the trade, the second I exited it another girl traded me and showed me alot of rare stuff including bird hats, and costume parts and she said "Did that girl just trade you a ticket?" and I said No and she told me that she was willing to trade all of that for the ticket and she told me to trade with that girl again and get it, and then I figured out that she was that girl and right after I would trade for the ticket the other girl would leave.. and she'd run off with all my rare

Here's another story:
One of my friends had gotten red space magic she was soo happy
when it was tradeable, her other best friend who she had knew for years had told her that He had never been in the space store before and he really wanted to go in. Since my friend knew him for a long time she "thought" she could trust him so she gave him her red space magic to borrow and told him to give it back when he comes back. Right after she accepted the trade he booted her, deleted her from his friends list and ran off with her magic..

Scammers. That word drives me mad! I do not like how staff are dealing with this. NOT ONE BIT! They ban people for little things like saying ' shut up '. Well dont get me wrong thats not nice, but still, scammers are more 'not nice' than that. Honestly staff are not doing everything to ban scammers for life. My sister got banned for saying shut up (she got banned for 24 hours) And that same day i almost got scammed by a boy (i forget his name) and i reported him, and staff said to use the ignore button. USE THE IGNORE BUTTON?! Honestly the ignore button doesnt last forever, and the boy will still most likely be waiting untill he can trade me again! STAFF HAVE TO PICK IT UP A NOTCH EH?!! Maybe more staff and commuity leaders will help. And if VMK were to have more staff, VMK would have less problems with scams, taken, 'baybe' and using adult-related themes and languages, also making 'cute or boot win a boyfriend/girlfriend'. This is really Ridiculous. I'd rather have the beta days, where there was most likely none of this junk, more true friends, maybe more crash and disconnections but still, there was no scammers or people running around annoying and referring to adult relaed themes. When i read some of the scamming posts on this thread, I wanted to SCREAM! This is so Ridiculous !!! If anybody cares enough, Whoever comes into your room with anything having to do with breaking VMK values, There is a chance of report and a garenteed BOOT!

I AM JUST SICK AND TIRED OF THIS!!!

Now I've never been scammed before (but I have gotten bad luck, like when I traded my flip hat for pan hat and a bunch of dreams stuff and then pan came out, but I also had good luck because flip hats came out again), and when I read these stories about how people fall victim to some of these trades like the, "fifteen+ item scam" (where one person wants to trade a lot of stuff for a very rare item, and before they can get the second half in the trade the scammer leaves), makes me think, "Just how gullible are these people?" I mean, even at a young age, people know not to just give their stuff and expect to get something in return later. It's natural for most people to feel greedy and protective of their stuff, so why give it out willingly, knowing this person could scam you? I honestly don't understand it! And some of these people claiming to be scammed are honestly lying just to get free stuff! I mean, "I traded my stitch hat for a flip hat, but then I realized flip hats came out yesterday". What person in their right mind would trade a stitch hat for a flip hat? Especially the day after they came back? Doesn't anyone read details anymore? That's another problem! Nobody pays attention! If you see someone, and their signature has something there, you should read it before trading them! I can't tell you how many times people have asked me if I'm trading what I'm wearing, when my signature states very clearly: "Not trading what I'm wearing". And why don't people do this? Because they're too lazy to wait five seconds before clicking trade! Same thing goes for the newsletter! If you don't read it, how do you know what's going on? I'm sorry for the rant, but just how slow can you get?

Ok why do ppl adopt children on there??? :confused3 Well she lost pretty much all her stuff! (Well not all of her stuff but a pretty good deal of it) So be careful never let ppl trick u!

Not even people you know in real life.

I started playing VMK after my friend did, and she wanted to borrow my yellow dress and I wanted to borrow her blue one...So, I suggested we could borrow the dresses, and when someone wants their dress back, we would give it back. Well, couple days later I wanted my yellow dress back and she wouldn't give it back..she started saying we " traded " for it, and she wouldn't give it back. I told her parents, they couldn't do anything to make her give it up. They could shut down her account or whatever, but I still wouldn't get the dress back..
