How To .. post pictures to the boards

Quite a few people have PM'd me about posting photos to the disboards. Rather than answer everyone individually, I thought it would be easier to make a post that I could direct people to. :wizard:

I'm putting a clause in here that says that this is my own personal preference for posting, and other programs may be used to achieve the same results

First, I use VMK Pal to capture images within VMK. It is a fairly simple process ..

Click on camera icon to capture screen image

When you have finished taking pictures, click on photo album icon. This opens a folder of all your saved images

Scroll through your images and choose which ones you want to save .. click either "Save to File" or "Crop to File" (if you only want to use part of the image)

Choose the folder you want to save it to on your computer.



Open up your photo bucket account. Click the "browse" button, which will then bring up the files on your computer. Choose the file where you saved your image(s) and click "open"

When the image is showing on photobucket click "upload" button

Once the image is uploaded it will show in your photo album .. click on the "IMG Code" to copy

Open up your DisBoards account and paste the IMG Code into your post or your signature.
Remember to follow the signature guide lines for the size of your image

Click the submit button, and you are now the proud owner of a picture on the Disboards :cheer2: :cheer2:

I'll add something you can add to your original post if you would like.

For getting pictures without VMKPal, you can simply hit the button on your keyboard that says something like Print Screen. This will take a screenshot of the page. If you want to only take it of VMK or whatever your active window is, do Ctrl+Alt+Print Screen like you were doing Ctrl+Alt+Delete. Now, go to paint, or something similar to that, and go to the edit bar, then down to paste. Start cropping it and editing it however you want to. Save it to your computer (make sure to use a file type the site will recognize!!). Now just upload it and follow her directions from here!


EDIT: Hah, I just checked the Creations board and there is already a sticky for this. Silly us.
