We are back --- and then bad news

We are back from a great trip (will be doing the trip report soon) and we had a great time. The drive home was fine until we got home..........

We found that the house had been broken into!!! :scared1: :headache: They pinched a laptop and jewellery . It happen on the day of our return.

We won't let it ruin our holiday. Just fed up that we went away to celebrate the completion of my daughter's surgery and we end up with a new disaster!!

The same thing happened to us in March. Dh & I went on a 3 week trip to Europe & the weekend before we returned home, our house was broken into. My friend that was taking care of our cats & dog is the one that walked into the mess. They had kicked in our front door & went through every drawer & closet in our house. Thankfully we did not have much of a mess to come home to. Our family cleaned most of it up for us. They were waiting for us when we got home so they could tell us what had happened.

I was so heart broken & upset :( Not the way you vision ending a wonderful trip.

The same thing happened to us three weeks ago. We spent 5 days over bank holiday weekend in Scandinavia and came home late at night to find our flat had been broken into and they had taken some of my wifes jewelry, our laptop, video camera, sat nav, and some cash. Very upsetting and made us sick to our stomach for days afterward. Just a horrible thing to come back to after having fun on holiday, so I really feel your pain on this one.
