NYE Waitlist, what are my chances?

I want to book 1 night in either the BWV or BCV for NYE. What do you think my chances are on the waitlist?

I'd do cash, and then cancel the reservation if the WL comes thru...

I think it's extremely unlikely the WL will come thru, but you never know.

The more flexible you are - i.e. Any size room, any DVC resort, etc. the better your chance.

But if it's gotta be BCV or BWV, I think these are hard to get for NYE.

FWIW, I went on the BWV waitlist for NYE on February 1 (the 11 month booking date) at 1PM, and I'm still waiting. Granted, I'm only on one waitlist - Boardwalk view studio - but it's been 4+ months, and the waitlist hasn't yet cleared.

If you're thinking of waitlisting, do it now. The earlier you waitlist, the better your chances of the waitlsit clearing.

I got a waitlist once for VWL for New Years but since I ended up not going, I didn't accept it. I was waitlisted a long time.

I remember that it came through pretty late.

If you know you're going to be there anyway, might be a good idea to have some sort of a booking for a backup that you can cancel if it comes through.
