prom bag or not?

i've got my prom in july and i was just wondering if any of you took a bag to your prom and what did it look like (pics if possible). i would like to take a clutch bag but i cant find one i like. my dress is dark red and long. Can anyone help me out a little?? thanks x

I got a cute little purse from Payless Shoe Store. I don't know if the UK has that store or not. But they usually have really cute and cheap clutches and small purses. If not, try researching it online and looking at some of your local stores. I'm sure some place nearby has something. Red is a popular color for dresses. If not, go for black...black goes with everything!

I bought a small silver bag with me. Most people at my prom brought a small purse or a clutch. If you look everywhere, I'm sure you'll eventually find one you like. It took me forever.

I hadf a tiny little white purse that just held my lipstick and some make-up. I was looking for a pic of it, but none of my prom pics have it in there.

i brought a small bag to fit my camera, lip stuff, money and a pocket mirror.

i was lucky and i found one that matches my dress pretty well.


i'd say if you're going to bring a cmaera you should bring a bag because it's a pain to carry it around everywhere and not have anywhere to put it.

do you think a silver bag would stand out too much against a darkish red dress? i have silver shoes but you cant really see them because my dress covers them. and what type of bag do you suggest any pics that would give me a little idea....thanks for the help everyone :) xxxx

I think while going to prom you should choose the simple and deligate prom bags which should not be large and not be heavy as well.

I don't think silver would stand out at all. Dark red looks good with silver, black, grey. Definitely take a clutch too, those are the best for formal gowns:thumbsup2 At my prom last year we had a coat check, so no one really saw my clutch anyways since I didn't want to carry it around.
