Runescape?

Anyone here play Runescape? My son is really into it. He never logs into VMK anymore...says Runescape is more fun.:scared1:

I USED to play Runescape but it became very very very PG-13 and sometimes R rated. Its very disturbing it's like Taken taken up 20 more levels. I don't want to re-live some moments in that game o_o

my friends used to play runescape but the school took away the connection to runescape bc grades were dropping fast at the school. i'd say vmk is more fun then runescape bc you cant " dead " people in vmk.

I used to play with my kids pre-vmk days. It had its fun times but I decided we would stop playing bc of what was allowed. My DD and I would get some pretty R-rated comments said to us. :sick: I eventually made friends with two young dudes and used them as my bodyguards. lol pirate: Besides that, there is much more scamming and killing is half of the point of the game. Not what i want my kids to be entertained with. I guess it would be considered more fun as there are more " quests " to do and more things you can do with your character. But from a parents point of view... not for the young.

i used to play i still log into to say hi to my friend acefun who used to play vmk and come on here but i dont mind vile but to many sexual comments to me so i dont really play it any more

I played runescape before I remembered about VMK. Runescape is fun and violent. It doesnt show any blood. I havent seen any of sexual discussions/actions in runescape. I like the medieval theme of the game and the entire trade/leveling up in the game. I dont really play it anymore but I do go on for the Holiday Events which happen only during Easter, Halloween and Christmas. Runescape is probably favorited by boys who like some adventure and action. Most girls may like the plot of the game but some just go on there to do taken or talk.

Runescape - 8.5/10
VMK - 7.5/10

Runescape - 5/10
VMK - 8/10

Violence:
Runescape - 7/10
VMK - 2/10

Membership/Pay2Play:
Runescape - Mostly updated for the members.
VMK - No membership. Pay to go to Disney Parks to quest on Rare Items.

I played ToP when I needed a break from VMK but still wanted to play a game, it is nice game, and the IGG seems to try to keep their games free from bad behaviours, .. Some people in the game were talking about runescape saying it was a bad game compared to ToP.

I used to play Runescape. I was never really into socializing, so people never really bothered me, but the many bad experiences everyone has had dosen't suprise me. Something that bothered me about Runescape however, was that you have to be a member to do 25% of the things in that game. I was NEVER a member, but I somehow managed to get my guy up to lvl 52.

I now play a game called "FlyFF" It's alot like runescape, but you can run and jump. The graphics are alot better and it's much more fun to fight, as you can have different jobs such as a mercenary, acrobat, or magicion. The language and vulgarity in that game aren't too bad, at least not as bad as runescape. The only thing that i could find bad about the game was the girl's outfits. 0_o Plus,( I at least found this cool) when you fight someone and inflict damage, there isn't just a little "6" or "10", it's 200's and 300's

I used to play runescape because my friends were playing it. But because you can easily give out personal information on the game and say bad words... i didn't like it. So i quit it and started playing vmk which is, in my opinion, alot better ;)

I personally play it myself, and I find it a lot of fun for 1 reason: I can set personal goals. For those of you that play it, my name in it is Vmk Toontown. I have been playing about 4 months and have a whip (yes) and my total lvl is over 1100.

If anything (yes, I know) I'm starting to find it as good, if not better, than vmk. One thing I like about it are the updates, because you have pretty close to a guarentee new item/quest/whatever each week.

I like the skills, and am personally going for a huge goal of 99 mining, 88 smithing, and 84 magic. I am making using superheat (and alching, after made) 10k mithril platebodies for 31,200,000 gold!!

As many people know, vmk has been just getting on my nerves with, well, everything. Runescape is like my break from vmk.

Killing is only half the game if you want it to be. I have times on and off that I fight and raise my combat skills, and there are only 7 combat skills and 16 non-combat skills. The non-combat skills are actually quite fun!


As for those of you talking about sexual comments etc, I don't know what any of you are talking about. Yeah there are people who have boyfriends/girlfriends, but in my eyes that's the same as taken- a crush. I have never seen anything past that. Either that or I just ignore them without thinking about it.

yea i play but runescape and yea i like it bc of the abilites u can get and not ever person isnt the same
but also some people aren't caring about other people and yea ppl say somethings other people wouldnt like ( including me ) but that is why when i play i only really talk to ppl i know in the real world
