NO pets.
Birds, bugs, farm animals, wild animals of any sort are all OK... you get the idea. :teeth: Tell us a little about the picture too. Where it was taken, when, and, if it's not obvious, what kind of animal it is.
Here's a few of my favorites.

Here's a turtle that came to visit us the other today. I picked him up, put him in a box and drove him back to the pond. He was not very happy being in the box, but he was quite happy to be back in the water when we released him! I saw a small alligator in the church pond on Friday when I took Tara to VBS, but I thought I didn't have my camera with me so no photo - got home and the camera was in the car!

this scared granddaughter( will be 3 end of july) to no end..on the way in they played animals roaring, crashing trees etc, she looked around twice and covered her eyes before we even got to the animals:eek: then once we got there hopped out of the stroller and grabbed hubby's leg in a death grip so we basicallytrotted through the exhibit( which of course cost additional to go to, she is always talking about her toy dinos so we thought she'd like it but life size was something else i guess) as we were leaving she said" Swhoo, that was close":rotfl2: at least she didn't scream her lungs out, then we'd be on the "bad grandparents at the zoo threads":rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

My girlfriend and I went for lunch last weekend at a cute restaurant outside the city called Pine Ridge Hollow. It's set on several acres of beautifully landscaped property. In one corner, almost hidden from view, was a small petting zoo for the kids. I couldn't resist this guy! (the pot-bellied pig just didn't do it for me!) This was the first time I've tried shooting in RAW and so I'm very unsure of the adjustments I made in Lightroom. I suspect I went a little too crazy - please feel free to comment (only way I'll learn!)

Black Racers are cute as far as snakes go.
No more crazier than you are to take pictures of SNAKES! :scared1: :rotfl:
I'm as scared of bees as the next person, but it was all by itself inside a planter so it was all okay.
I think I'm more afraid of those garden spiders than anything though. :)

Me too! I am starting to rethink our plan to move to Florida in 5 years just based on those photos. :crazy2: :faint:
This isn't a great photo, as it was taken with my old camera through our back window, but this little fox spent an afternoon in our backyard about a year ago.

How about a few from a recent trip to the Jacksonville Zoo...
This one is just screaming to be made into a postcard - there were two rhinos standing next to each other and a third eating up near the walkway. Just after we arrive he began walking back towards the other two and I started chanting, "Do it! Do it! Do it!" in hopes that he would stand in line with the others... and he did! Woo hoo! Three rhino butts in a row! Now that's something you don't get to see every day! :lmao: :rotfl2:

And lastly, what I feel is perhaps the best animal photo in our collection, one of the jaguars in the "Range of the Jaguar" exhibit area. I'l eventually get around to printing an 8x10 of this one and framing it for the wall near our computer:

And I know this probably doesn't count, but its an urban frog. These sculptures were all over the edge of the stairs outside a 20 story building.

There were at least 15 of them walking around. I was able to get to within 6 feet of several of the birds.
And a grasshopper on steroids...

a beaver. there are huge dams built on that lake and all the trees have been knocked down with the usual beaver signs (chewed up to a point and they fall over). you can also kind of see the flat tail.

I was 'cleaning up' my thread subscriptions and ran across this really good one. I thought that I might try to see if anyone else might like to add to it before it dies. :confused3

This wild bird was in my back yard this summer. I have no idea how long he was sittin there before I discovered him. He was at least there a couple hours guarding this strange bug caught in a web. Look closely at bottom photo.
